These are the first shoulders with three sockets. At the time of their introduction they are the only item on Garrosh's loot table with an extra socket, and the only item that does not drop in LFR or Flex.

Consider them equivalent to 碎脊肩胄: although they may not be guaranteed to have the half-tier ilvl boost that Deathwing's loot had, the additional socket probably ensures that these are BiS. Of course if you do luck into a Warforged pair of these, it's safe to say they will last you the rest of the expansion and some of the levelling to 100 :)

Just because there are no LFR or Flex version of these shoulders doesn't mean they won't be implemented. It's still PTR and there's a long way to go before it is finished. Just a cautious heads-up for those who are hoping that this will only be normal and heroic only.

I'm inclined to think that because these shoulders do not drop in LFR or Flex difficulties AND given that there is another pair of plate dps shoulders on Garrosh's loot table with the same stats (crit and mastery, although Spaulders of the Fallen Warchief has 2 yellow sockets instead of 3 red) that these particular shoulders, the Tusks of Mannoroth, will have an either extremely low or rare drop rate. The model is amazing, and my guess is that Blizzard doesn't intend for these to be something that any average Joe can get his hands on for transmog, which is why it will most likely only be available to Normal and Heroic raiders, and maybe even then only if they get lucky. Blizzard has stated that certain items will not drop outside of Normal and Heroic modes, and with the meta achievement and mount being available to those who run difficulties as low as Flex mode and no longer requiring any heroic kills whatsoever, I see nothing wrong with that. I'm sure I'll get downvoted, but I believe I'm probably right here; I would be very surprised to see a version of these shoulders in any difficulty below Normal.

I always thought Garrosh used magnataur tusks for his shoulder armor, and Mannoroth's tusks were in Orgrimmar / at his throne.

You can tell Garrosh's arrogance from the fact that he's wearing them at all - that he's wearing his father's redemption as his own trophy is appalling, and Grom is spinning in his grave over what his son has done to the Horde.

I think they're intended to be super-rare, also, since the extra socket gives it an edge over other plate shoulders, and that they don't drop in LFR or Flexi. Almost like a legendary piece on its own. Plus they look amazing - the level of detail in them is great, but looking at them in 3D it looks like they copied the armor right off their Garrosh model, which is probably why they look so damn slick.

This is an item that is very unique, just like Corrupted Ashbringer. Therefore, it will probably be a very low drop percent just like the Ashbringer was in Naxx 40.

No, put srsly I kind of think these are not something they should be giving to players for transmog purposes, and should be given to some other character, or perhaps be placed on display somewhere to orgrimmar throne room instead, when they have such lore background and are just like that given to players.

I wanted to point out that if you were to brute farm these, it would take almost 10 years, until you reach 100%. Here's some math
100:0.2=500
500:52=9.7
So 9.7 years

Coined these on our very first Garrosh normal kill back in september. Had no idea how rare they were at that point. Guess that is why it took me 18 kills of Galakras hc to even see the trinket.. Used up all my luck for future kills ;)

These bad boys dropped for my guild group yesterday after we killed garrosh for the idk how many time,
there was one guy in the group that was a PuG, paladin and obviously he wanted the shoulders aswel for transmog ofc.
Before we started the fight we agreed itd be fair roll group loot. one paladin, one fury warrior, one blood DK and myself, prot warrior.
i rolled 98 and won the shoulders fairly. naturaly i went over to the transmogger instantly.
but after like half an hour of arguing i gave them up to the fury warrior ( also the guildmaster..) to avoid further hatred

So before you kill garrosh always make sure that not a single person $%^&*es about who gets the loot.
i thought we had it covered.. but apperantly Greed is to much for certain people... he'd better use them now.

These are a rare drop from Garrosh in normal mode and heroic difficulty only, they are most likely going to be best in slot for all melee dps with 3 red sockets even with the stacking of secondaries the only thing that could beat it is if there was one with 3 yellow sockets which to my knowledge there is not. I have killed garrosh on normal mode 25-man every week since the second week of release and only twice have they dropped. They are not a personal drop they are simply a rare loot drop drop, you can not get them through flex nor LFR so if you want them you'll have to have a really good friend, a lot of gold, or learn to play.

I hosted a tusks farm group the past 8 days at about 30-40 kills / day.
We made 6 ppl get them untill i looted mine at the 271th bonus roll.
We did see a drop at 60+- (extremely lucky) / 160 +- (quiet lucky)/ and all
the others at 220+- (BRUTE FARMED THEM) - 271th as last.

Heirlooms DID get removed from the game.

DON'T expect to get them fast ! GL, they are still out there for you to get it ;)

ps: you WILL start to hate garrosh. happy hunting

Alright guys, let me make clear many things:

-Patch 6.1: the tusk still exist and will exist. Just in HC and Mythic. Really really rare to get.
-You can "farm them", just need a guy than have saved all bosses excepct garrosh, then he make a group and invite all, but he never enter. You kill garrosh, roll bonus seal/coin, cry it didnt happen, leave and . then the guy/account with the save, remake a group,you join and repeat.
-I got mine in my 589 kill (Yeah, i was getting insane at some point)
-They usually drop at your 300+- kill (Yeah, i got a really bad luck). saw 6 drops before mine.
-Does not matter if you have 2 WoW accounts open at same pc (i was hosting the farm!)
-Does not matter if you get banned at some point before(Yes, at some point you just get neurotic and think everything). I was banned for 3 hours in MoP, still dont know why.
-I recommend you to buy and use the drums of fury thing in p2 in the dream part (when he is doing "annihilation"). With at least 6 guys, u can burn him so fast than in p1 he dont summon engies and faster enough in p2 to dont let him do the MC thing
-Have patience and willing, you will not get them in 1 hour (Unless you RNG gods bless you and get them at you 15 run, as i saw once). But besides it, keep the farm alive.

Anyone wanting to farm these should reinforce their will with iron. I run a group that does 30 runs a night, and all of the members who have been there with me since the beginning have got their tusks. New people come and go, either giving up or beating the odds and getting their tusks in only a hundred runs or so.

Yet I stand firm, 600 kills in, ready for that next coin to flicker into that beautiful icon.

Good luck everyone hoping to farm this item, and remember; though it might feel hopeless, you must push through. Never give in to despair and doubt.

Garrosh says "Anger, hatred, fear, they are weapons of war. The tools of a Warchief. Yes, yes, I can see it now."

What he means is this:

"Anger" will grow with every kill.

"Hatred" towards the person who gets tusks with less kills than you.

"Fear" of you never getting the tusks. That they will never drop.

What he sees is us, in a perpetual state of despair, killing him over and over as our will and sanity are slowly drained with each blow against his corrupted body.

The joke is on him though. We will get our Tusks and rejoice, for we are the ones with true iron will.

Finally! Farmed every day for 20 days whit average of 72 kills pr day, 1457 kills in total befor they dropped for me.
Atleast 25 other ppl got them while i was hosting the runs, one whit 17 kills and most people seems to get them whit 100-300 kills and a very few above that.

How to set up your own group to farm for this:
You will need Warforged seals, they cost 50 lesser charms for 3 seals that can be obtained from the outside bottom floor of the shrine. Lesser charms are often best farmed at frogs in timeless isle.

First, get an alt cleared from the first boss to klaxxi or else it won't work with SoO's new raid system.
Either have a second account or have a friend assist you by hosting it on the alt. (You can do it alone but it will be miserable.)
Invite someone, as soon as they go in SoO, pass them lead and have the person on the alt swap back over. Leave the alt in the group.

when you clear all the trash, as soon as an ichor spawns, grab it and rush to Garrosh, if you bring it near him, it will reset the fight and skip the RP saving you a minute.

When you kill Garrosh, have everyone leave group so after a minute they can be teleported at the entrance outside and start again.

You can get up to 10 runs an hour with this method. Don't expect to get one in under 200 kills without being really lucky.

Just got those whit my 50th bonus roll. In my group, the lowest number of attempts was 17 and the biggest is 800+ and counting up=this is the leader, I feel bad for him having suck a bad RNG, he is a great guy :(

quick question to the people who've actually gotten these shoulders, (although I suppose there's not really a big reason for them to return to this spesific page..) did you use Free-for-all/Group loot or Personal Loot? Or have most of Tusks drops come from Bonus rolls? I'm in the long and tideous process of farming for these lately, and I just want to know what you guys think is the best option. I'm guessing there's some kind of statistical/math reason for choosing one over the other? :P would love to know your opinions, thanks!

hey guys started to farm this on heroic with personal loot, 186 kills so far and too much bonus rolls turn to gold,like 80-90 percent,trying to not lose my sanity with frogs>garrosh grind,will update...

Can confirm that as of 7.2.5 this item is still in the game, in case anyone is wondering, and considering the low drop rate, its easy to begin thinking that it does not exist.

Yesterday was Saturday and i spent literally all day doing this. By 02 clock i ran out of Seals, so i ended the night by killing frogs and listening to a podcast, wondering "Will i ever get thy tusks?"

Today i woke up, made some coffee and continued the fight, and by 13th kill today, Tusks dropped. Meaning that it took 555 kills to get them.

Good luck to everyone, ive read that drop chance is between 0.2 to 0.3, which is rough but persistence is key.

Ok, for patch 7.3 Argus.. The lockout on HC farming system still works if you have coins on you.. BUT, leaving party before killing Garrosh won't give you the corpse loot anymore.. I am not sure if this affects the chances of getting Tusks, however it's very discouraging getting gold mostly or a non Tusks item if loot.. :(

OMG Can finaly live my life.. Imprisoned 10 000 years in SOO has finaly come to end. Can confirm at 7.3.2 After +1431 pulls ( https://imgur.com/a/f4ll9 ) i managed to loot em by bonus rolls
almost 5 hours per day average 10 pulls / hour. I was slowly coming so paranoid are they gonna ever drop, is there some bug they wont, why people getting normally it ~300 kills but i dont.
Dont know did they lower more the drop% after adding two paladin items to warriors loot table at 7.3.
The worst thing its farm after farm.. First farming coins at timeless isle frogs then to Garrosh boi.
But it was the best feeling ever to hear my rarity blinging something while i was watching youtube on my another screen and then saw the beautiful icon of tusks from bonus roll.

i can confirm, they still drop, droped today, it took me 1386 bonus rolls on hc

i did leave the party in the fight, to get faster out of the dungeon (some ppl think they don't drop if you do this...)

i did ~130 runs per day

around 500 kills i bought a 2. legion for 25€, just for the shoulders, to farm more effective, and with legion you got a free 100 boost
it is really easy to farm frogs with 2 chars at the same time, because the coins will drop for both in the party, best way to do it, with a two-seats mount
pull frogs together, kill, loot

while doing siege of orgrimmar you just need to go with the 2. char in the dungeon, because garrosh will pull the char in fight to himself, so you are able to bonusroll

hope this helps, just keep farming, they will drop ;)

and 429 as arms warri, rolled as arms warri, the warri was the lucky one with 429 trys

I can Confirm that SoO IS soloable in Legion. I haven't got the Tusks yet, and Honestly ive lost Track of how many runs ive done. I do know that ive been trying to get them Since MoP, and I'm taking it as a personal @#$%ing Challenge to get them at this point. Don't ever lose hope guys, it may take a while (Years in my case) but youll get them eventually.

Just got these a couple days ago on my warrior. I have only seen them drop once before. I did heroic siege progression before mythic was a difficulty in game. One of our warriors bonus rolled them on heroic difficulty back then. 3 other warriors in guild including myself and other random plate wearers bonus rolled Garrosh every week while siege was current and never saw them again. We also sold heroic carries for gold back then and I never saw anyone get these as a drop or roll.

Fast forward to a few days ago. I was spam running Garry by using a heroic raid lockout on an alternate character. Each kill I would bonus roll. 344 kills later (between heroic and mythic) they dropped. For the detail oriented people my loot spec was set to arms and loot option was set to personal which really doesn’t matter because I was bonus rolling each kill and not getting any loot from the actual boss himself.

This took me months as I took a couple breaks and sometimes only ran 10-20 kills a week. Each run from zone in to out was about 4 minutes with a 167% speed set and bear tar tar. Be ready to hit your hourly instance cap of 10 instances an hour.

One weird thing is that almost all my rolls were gold. I was almost convinced that the raid lockout trick had bugged my rolls to be only gold. I had 20 rolls of gold in a row on so many occasions. I’d say I got less then 20 pieces of bonus rolled loot during my entire grind.

Even though my story sounds brutal they do still drop and the feeling of getting them is overwhelming. I wish all of you the best of luck because the joy of having them makes all the gulp frog lesser charm farming absolutely worth it!

I just started farming them and thought I would post some tips that might be useful.

1. Have alt with save in fast loading area.

2. You create new group and check auto accept invite then you hit macro below to Reset Raid, Convert to Raid, set group loot, and logout (Group loot cause i wanted to farm on the way trash xmogs)

/script ConvertToRaid();
/group
/camp

3. Remember to bring some adds with you to reset Garrosh to skip RP.

4. When you're fighting Garrosh Leave Group when he runs to the middle and yells Anger, Hatred... (or a bit later so you can get teleported out as soon as you kill him)

5. After you coin click logout when it's below 20 sec to teleport you out of the instance, no need to wait till you're outside to start logging out.

6. As a warrior: Arms spec with Legendary Leap shoulders and Legendary running speed boots.
-when you run to Garrosh use Leaps with Bounding Stride Talent, Recklessness with Legendary Boots, Nitro boost Engineers, Double Charge, Bear Tartare Food.

100 coins and only 15 items... 10h of farming... I wouldn't bother trying to get them on coin rolls tbh. Probably a better idea is to get many plate alts and do 1 kill on each every week.

On Friday my English teacher signed my yearbook saying "So go forth and find the Tusks of Mannoroth, young one. Persist and ye shall not fail." He's heard my constant obsessing and complaining about how they wouldn't drop for me and so on. Four days after he signs my yearbook, reset day comes around and on my third run of the day, they dropped. In short, thank you to the best English teacher ever!

Finally dropped, after my... 866th attempt yes I kept track. My advice is? Do not lose hope, they may have a terrible drop rate? But they do drop! I wish all you other plate wearers luck in obtaining these! Again, DO NOT lose hope in obtaining these. You can get them!

45 full loot kills meaning around 265 items dropped spending 25 coin rolls on those kills and 40 kills with only a coin roll so far, Zero tusks.

Finally got my own today from a reroll token, after 55 total kills across 2 characters. The new changes to farming via this method have made it far more tedious, and I was having bad luck with the ads evading in my last couple of pulls. Still, I was able to average 1 run every 5 minutes or so, which is way more time than it used to take back in legion but still better than farming in the bfa prepatch.

With the removal of Auto Accept custom groups, I had to do a dance of:

1. Logging into secondary character with the pre Garrosh lockout and creating group
2. Open second WoW window and loading Warrior, request to join secondary character's group.
3. Swap to other WoW window, which automatically logged my secondary character out. Log back into them and invite my Warrior.
4. Swap to other WoW window, log in, accept invite, walk into raid and kill.

It got really tedious and I didn't even get into the hundreds of attempts. I am probably never going to do a grind like this again.

Its not impossible to get your shoulders, keep at it! I wish I had gotten mine back in legion because of how annoying it is to farm now, but at least now its all finished.

Farming these at the moment, already feeling burned out by doing 50 runs a day. I'm at 331 kc. Using bonus rolls (farming 10 times an hour on heroic) and doing 3 mythic clears on all my plate characters per week. Seen people go for 3000+ kills before they get them, does anyone know the highest kc someone has got before getting these tusks as a drop?

You can still kinda use the "auto join" function, by tracking a World Boss WQ on your alt that has the lockout, while having the alt placed in a rested area. Logout of your alt and quickly onto your designated farming character (while also having the WB WQ tracked). Press the eye next to the WQ and find your own group. Join the group and enter the raid.

Proceed to kill Garrosh, leave the group while he is transitioning into phase 2. Kill him, bonus roll, get ported out, logout, rinse and repeat. Hotel? Trivago.

Edit: Received the Tusks of Mannoroth the 30th of January after 231 tries - the World Boss WQ auto join function really helped me save a lot of time. Would highly recommend using it, if you are farming Tusks.

So currently it's extremely difficult to get these as a solo player. There's a known bug with Sun, He, and Rook, the protectors in which both Rook and Sun become invulnerable and cause the fight to freeze. Although some people have had luck killing them quickly enough to pass this bug, it requires that sun and rook go down practically at the same time. I tried it with a 380 warrior using all cooldowns multiple times in about 20-25 different ways with no meaningful results. Maybe it's possible with chaos bolt but then you're stuck on a cloth character.

Here are other people's experiences.

Blizzard revealed the new Black Market Auction House listings for patch 8.2.5. And yes, the Tusks of Mannoroth will be part of it. So in the near future feel free to spend your goldcap on these things.

Dropped these today on heroic after doing the alt invite method. After so many attempts I was feeling burned out but thought I'd plod on and keep going. Then on my warrior they drop, not once but twice in the same loot.

I was thrilled to get them and so relieved to finally drop them I decided to leave them in my void storage as a treasure and a reminder that patience pays off. Good luck to everyone still farming these awesome shoulders

I am just in utter Shock. First try. I raided SoO for 9 months when it was current clearing normal and heroic with my Hunter Warlock and Paladin just about every week and never seen it drop once until now.

ID 112935 - Dropped for me today in Heroic after around a year of 5 plate toons (BOP, so didn't want it dropping for a cloth) running weekly using lockout sharing.
For some reason, the Kills Counter was not registering Heroic Garrosh kills on any of the 5 toons, so I can't give stats on that.
I think I read somewhere it could only be picked up as a bonus roll, but I did not use a Warforged Seal.

It finally dropped on 9/8/20 - 826 heroic kills, 200 of which were in the last week and a half, all coined.

I don't know how others are getting it to drop sub 4000 kills. I've been trying across 3 plate characters at almost 4000 kills with nothing so far. Hopefully it will drop soon as its burning me out!

Ok quick questions, as i'm farming these both in mythic with 3 plates (dk pal war) and with ID sharing in heroic : do you think the number of loots in loot table can influence the droprate while using token ? I mean, Frost DK only got 7 loots, while war got 9. Do you think you've better chance to drop with the frost dk, since it has less loot options ?

If you are coin farming Garrosh I suggest login into the character with the lockout, make the group.
Log your farmer, Make a macro /camp cause when you login you wanna start login out as you start looking for the lockout your other character hosted.
(I press this everytime and I most of the time save 10-15seconds where I can just chill.)
Log back on your other character with the lockout accept the invite, immediately logout (You might as well camp that character at a rested area for speed.)

Another small thing I started during my 703 runs was that when he drops down the first time you take his health down to 1% he'll start flying a little, be unlucky and you might get Flyrosh Fellscream which unfortunately is very funny but a time waste.. as he lands leave your group and you'll get the 1min til you get tp'ed to graveyard provided you got the dmg to just nuke him of course. I usually end up having 20 seconds left on this time by the time he dies but the neat little trick I do and this might vary depending on your internet/pc, I press /camp macro at 14 seconds so when im on the end of the load screen I just end up at my character screen and can log my character with the lockout. (If you want to use this you might screw it up until you get the flow of the logout during loadscreen.) Too early and you end up remaining inside of SoO, so it's definitely better to do it too late!

Figured I wanted to post in here as I haven't gotten my tusky yet (703 attempts.) I farm approx 60-80 runs a day while waiting for the next expansion, this being at the top of my priority list. (Numero uno!) Perhaps leaving a comment here will break my curse and I pray I won't be part of the 1400club one day (Though that'll get some manly shehairs on your chest.)

Hi guys,

just to confirm - Tusks of Mannoroth have a chance to appear on the Black market auction house! They were up on Kazzak-EU about 2 weeks ago. I made a Wowhead account just to share this on the same day, but they would not let me post external links.

At the time of checking, the price was already 1.000.000 gold, and it was only 8.44 in the morning, and they still had 'Very long' time left. Didn't check for how much they went, but considering the containers go for 1.2 mil last few days, I doubt they went far from the gold cap.

I have run SoO 130 times on Mythic over 100 of which have been since the Shadowlands pre patch. My goal has been to get Korkron juggernaut. During these runs I have had Tusks of Mannoroth drop twice. Both times on LEATHER characters :(. For anyone running SoO. I wish you luck. The tusks are still dropping in case anyone was wondering.

Have anyone noticed not getting any loot from bonus rolls?

I came back to the game after the pre-patch and have attempted quite a few bonus roll runs, but only receiving gold for EVERY bonus roll try. Not any loot. This concerns me as I farmed these over the summer prior to the pre-patch and I often had regular loot from bonus rolls many times, often several times in a row. But now I haven't received any loot from bonus rolls at all?

I'm farming across 5 plate characters, mythic and heroic bonus roll runs. Currently on 440 ish runs in total across all characters.

Have anyone else noticed this?

Question about how regular loot chance vs bonus roll loot chance works

I'm going very indepth to to see if bonus rolls are worth the time, im farming this so much for years that if I can save myself and others X amount of hours mothly, its really worth spending 15 minutes asking this. It might be a complete mess of a comment, if so please downvote/comment and I'll remove.

IF my math is right AND we assume bonus roll gives item 50% of the time (which is higher than it actually is, I think), then Best case scenario means that dropchance for tusks is increases by 50% of the original dropchance when using bonus roll - and worst case 5-10% increased loot chance with bonus roll. And I won't bother farming bonus rolls on all chars if the total chance per run is just an increase from 0.30% to 0.31% for example (10% increase). This is all with assuming a very high chance of loot instead of gear from bonus roll, which is likely higher than in reality.

Is each item dropped rolled individually for a small % of being tusks, such that a normal kill with 6 loot pieces make up 0.3% dropchance, and each item then has 0.05% dropchance? And then that the bonus roll is X% chance of having one item rolled for being tusks? I think this is true, which is the worst case scenario.

Or does it work like if you get loot from bonus roll, it has same chance of being tusks as a normal kill with 6 items?

To explain better:
Garrosh usually drops 5-6 pieces of loot. Bonus roll might drop one piece of loot. Tusks allegedly have 0.3% droprate according to wowhead. One guy has gotten two Tusks in a single kill, so it seems there are individual item rolls.

For the math, lets assume bonus roll has a 50% chance of giving an item instead of gold(which I think is higher than what's the case), that tusk droprate is 0.3% is correct, and that Garrosh always drops 6 items.

If each item is rolled individually, 6 items make up a 0.3% droprate, meaning each item has a 0.05% chance of being the tusks.

Is the case then that the bonus roll would equate to 50% chance of one of these item rolls, in effect 0.025% increased chance in total? Or that it would be 50% chance of the total chance of all the 6 items, meaning 0.15% increase in total?

If assuming bonus roll is 50% chance of getting item, Then the best case scenario it an increase in droprate from 0.3% to 0.45% - meaning 50% more likely.
In the worst case scenario, it would be a loot chance increase from 0.3% to 0.325% - meaning less than 10% more likely WITH the assumption that bonus roll drops item 50% of the time.

It's 2020, the pandemic has hit the world and changed it forever. Shadowlands is about 2 months old and it's 2 days from Christmas. I have finally been blessed by Santa Garrosh and I wanted to insert myself into this comment thread commenting that I have finally received the iconic Tusk of Mannoroth! This has made my Christmas!

I have visited this wowhead section and looked at these tusk for the longest time and I couldn't be happier to get these! Goodluck to everybody trying and don't give up!

01/18/2021, after doing this weekly for the past 3 or 4 years. It finally happened and I got my Tusks, I did this on Heroic and just extended out a lockout on my mage and then ran all of my plate wearers through. It finally dropped. DONT GIVE UP!

Finally mine, after starting farming few months ago.

683 HM kills, 39 MM kills, for the last few weeks, was only doing HM runs, with ID share (2 dk, 2 pal, 1 war). Dropped without token this morning on 2nd kill of the day. Good luck to everyone still farming them and most important, never lose hope !

And thx to the people reporting their joy in this section when they got theirs. Sometimes, i was about to give up, and then reading people getting it and how happy they were made me think "i wanna be these guy aswell". Your perseverance helped me stay motivated, and i can't imagine the will required when you're 1k+ kill and still farming.Best of luck, we're waiting for you in Tusk's valhala

Okay so i usually dont post on these kinds of sites but all this pain i had to do it this time. I am currently on kill 350 at the time of this post. I have farmed every day all day aside from sleeping for the past week for these shoulders. I had my aunt's funeral this week as well in which i proceeded to miss because i was so focused on getting these. I am at the point of losing hope and losing my mind. Blood, sweat, tears and iron yet they just WONT DROP. I have to be doing something wrong.. I am using the Warforged Seal gulp frog Heroic farm method.. PLEASE BLIZZARD GIVE ME SOME LUCK PROTECTION! This drop rate is absolutely ridiculous.

Ok, so I started farming these badbois during the start of the pandemic last year. I have been farming them on heroic with 6 plate characters every week of my active subscription with some occasional bonus runs with bonus rolls and mythic clears. Today I FINALLY got them after sub-1000 tries across all difficulties including normal loot table and bonus roll runs. Also, I looted the mythic Garrosh mount before this week's reset, only a few days apart. Please don't hate. I got lucky.

For everyone still looking to get these. Don't m*!@#$ give up. If you really want them you will get them. My best tip is to clear the heroic with bonus rolls with all plate characters each week with a raid lockout on an alt, then do additional mythic runs whenever you feel like it- HOWEVER, I do not recommend clearing it on mythic with all plate characters as you will easily get burned out. If you decide to do clear multiple mythic runs- watching a Twitch stream or similar while doing the additional long mythic runs helps <3

U can do it, people. They do exist and they do drop!

Let me tell you my story... I started farming this item back in December 2019. I only had one plate (my main warrior) character at that moment so in order to not to get tired of the raid or lose so much energy doing it, I decided to run it just with that character, one Heroic run and one mythic run, I made my mind with the idea of "if it drops... It drops, if it does not, I will be back next week". 2 runs every week is enough for such a long raid.

In the next weeks I leveled two other plate chracters, a DK and a Paladin and when the lockout started (back in March 2020) I decided to only make 3 mythic runs (one for every plate char) per week with the same "if it drops it drops" idea in my mind.

I am more a mount collector than rare items like this one. Obviouslly this is a really really cool and unique transmog piece so I decided, and made my mind to some day get it. I tried to keep the mount as my motivation to do the runs. Unfortunatelly (or lucky... I dont know) I got the mount at 22 attempts...https://i.imgur.com/m7tQguP.jpg I have never felt a mix of happines and dissapoitment at the same time, I mean that was what I tried kept as a motivation for the shoulders and now I had it...

Somehow I managed to keep running it week after week non stop. I used an extra roll on every run since the very first kill. Today I felt really hopeless and kind of down as I am not doing very well on a metric on my job so I am getting scolded by my manager. I just looted the boss with my mind completely blank. I heard a noise from the All the things addon when a new appearance is added.... And I thought.. Was I missing a transmog from Garrosh? (As an automatic acceptance that the shoulders might not have dropped) Then...I read "tusks of Mannoroth has been added to your appearance collection". The warrior that made the very first attempt just looted the shoulders today https://i.imgur.com/RYmuTDf.jpg. I entered in a shock state and I could not believe it. A manly tear was dropped today... Finally after some $%^& I been going trough I have been rewarded with something I worked a lot during these last months. I know this will not fix the problems at my job but at least I can take it to feel happy and feel better to try my best in the upcoming days.

BTW... Total tries:

By looting the boss: 182 + 182 bonus rolls (I used a bonus on every kill). Total = 364

Invincible dropped for me this week after years and 173 attempts, I decided to try the tusks. I was prepared to grind it out but I was lucky. It dropped 3rd clear on 10H. It's been a great week.

To anyone wondering if the bonusroll farm still works, I can confirm it indeed does. I received my Tusks of Mannoroth, through bonusroll on the 25th kill of the day on the same character.

So as of 9.2.0 these babies still exist, and the bonusroll farm still works! Keep the grind up lads, and eventually they will be yours.
