Anyone happen to know, that if you have +5Mining on your gloves, no matter what gloves they are, and if you Mining is already 375/375... Does it help to use the +5Mining gloves ??

It will not help your mining to enchant your gloves if you are at the maximum (375). This is also true for skinning, or any other collection profession. The reason for this is that due to a previous patch, you will no longer fail when collecting at the maximum allowable skill. Once your skill is as high as possible, you gather everything on the first try.

this enchant will actually help you... while your mining is around lvl 225 and your mithril is already green.. grab this enchant and start mining dark iron and truesilver....

Decided to farm this to add to my collection. There are 3 camps of mobs that can drop it. On my third trip thru the camps it dropped for me.

This does still drop. I was beginning to have my doubts, but after a few hundred dead dwarves I finally got it. If you clear the village just southwest of the Thandol Span, then the 3 camps a good ways southeast of the span, the village should respawn by the time you get back to it.

I may be stupid. But I can't find the friggin' iron dwarfs anywhere! I can find the trappers, but I'm after the mining-enchant. And according to, well everything, they don't drop it. Can anyone give me a hint. Have been all round wetlands:-(

I am posting this to remind everyone to not give up on AH searching. I have been grinding and searching for this formula long before Cataclysm came along. Since the dark iron dwarves are gone from the Wetlands, I kinda gave up on it. Yesterday, I found someone selling TWO of these for 10G each! Unfortunately, I was too excited to take note of the person's name. I wanted to mail that person and ask them if they could remember which mob dropped the formula.

This is one of the very few enchantments I am missing. I too contacted a GM this very evening and this is what he had to say:

GM Tipransh: I've taken a look into this, but I'm afraid I haven't been able to find any creature currently in game that drops that Formula :(

GM Tipransh: I guess it's possible it'll be reintroduced again, but I don't know if there are any plans for that.

So currently this formula is unavailable in Cataclysm. And I have taken a screenshot of the conversation should anyone wish to challenge the authenticity of what I have just posted.

Bang goes my grand plans to collect every enchantment in game.

Brief and To-The-Point:

For those of you who don't have all day to wade through posts, here it is: The Dark Iron Dwarves who used to drop this aren't around to drop this any more. If you go to the coordinates where it used to drop, you'll find a bunch of fire elementals, but no dwarves.

So, unless you're fortunate enough to stumble across one in the AH, you're not going to find it.

been selling a bunch of these suckers on multiple servers for over a week now

at first for 2.5k...then for 1k..and now ive been plopping them for just about 100g a piece or less

now if the cockroach devs would just reintroduce something actually remotedly useful..for pvp.. like the Schematic: Ice Deflector....instead of this completely useless formula...
