This bait can be fished in the inland waters of Talador, in the ocean you can fish
Sea Scorpion bait
. It CAN be used together with fishing lures and, as the tootip says, it increases your chance to fish Small Blackwater Whiptail / Blackwater Whiptail / Enormous Blackwater Whiptail while fishing in Talador. It's unique but don't be afraid to use it, it's quite easy to fish up another.
You cannot catch another
when you have one in your bag. But using a
while fishing not only increases your chances to catch a Small Blackwater Whiptail / Blackwater Whiptail / Enormous Blackwater Whiptail, but also the chance to catch yet another
. (It seems a guaranteed chance to catch another bait while using a specific bait.)
Even though different kinds of bait say "useful when fishing in ," it also allows you to catch that specific fish at the lake in your garrison,
without fishing in a school
. Also, it can be used at the same time as fishing lure without canceling the effect. It should be noted however that you will not catch enormous fish in your garrison (other than fire ammonite for horde/blind lake sturgeon for alliance), which are the ones necessary for the level 3 fishing shack achievement; for the enormous fish, you will have to actually go to each fish's individual zone. But if you're just trying to complete the daily quest or get the fish as a reagent, you can do so from your garrison with the bait.
These new additions to the game have given me the opportunity to invest in a Tacklebox! If you like to fish, even occasionally, in Draenor then I would suggest a few things:
1) Use a fishing pole, gear with (+# Fishing), a lure, a few Captain Rumsey's Lager, and bait
-Reason: the higher the fishing skill the better the chance for you to catch Enormous grade fish
---Enormous fish count for achievements that unlock the lvl 3 fishing shack and ultimately Nat Pagle himself!
2) Grab a few Potions of Water Walking or your fishing raft. Unless your class has a water walking ability
-Reason: why try to find solid ground? Make your own!
Here is my bait macro that I use when fishing.
It applys a draenor bait.
This bait simply does not drop for me....I've fished over 100 times in the inland waters of Talador and the bait hasn't dropped. Makes going for the enormous blackwater whiptail incredibly difficult. What I have been doing is running the pools, which yield from 2-4 each... I'll get there, but it is taking quite a while.
Does that icon depict a hook jabbed through the entire clam's shell..?
