The wood frog comes from Flik when the darkmoon faire is in your zone. Flik will be running around chasing "Flik's Frog".

Seems like Flik has a limited amount of them for sale.
I just bought a Wood Frog Box and it had a sale counter of just one on it.
It costs just as much as the Tree frog but it's different.

This frog repawns in Flik's bag intermittently from what I can tell. I went back 15 mins after someone beat me to the frog, and it was available for sale again.

But then I tried again and it wasn't for sale. So maybe it is on a 15 min timer or someone just beat me to it again.

It looks like talking to Flik will stop the frog and Flik catches up, sometimes causing the vendor page to close right away as he runs out of range to catch the frog.

If you talk to the frog, the frog will stop allowing you to click on Flik easier.

Been camping Flik for this guy for Achievement, with 2 other players.

The crate appeared at 3:00, again at 3:20, 3:50 and then 4:17

Looks like a 20-30 minute random spawn.

Spamming him does'nt seem to effect it atoll.

So if your on your 49th pet and this ones on cd, your not more then 30minutes from http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=23274 !.

The XX:50 timer may be accurate. I checked from 12:45 pm through 12:50 once a minute -- no frog. 12:51 it appeared for sale. It may be a good idea to check after XX:50 every hour.

o hey i got the tree frog not the wood frog. be aware that there are in fact two different frogs at the darkmoon faire. one is on a respawn timer, the other is unlimited supply.

Flik despawns and respawns after Wood Frog Box is bought. Respawns like less than 1 second after despawned.

Confirming random 15-30+ min. respawn timer. I've snagged him 13 times now (not all in a row) and these are the reliable intervals I've observed (min:sec):

I imagine it should be a bit easier to walk up and snag one from Thursday 11/13 to Sunday 11/16 as most people will be leveling their DK's or mains in Northrend...

I just came out of the new 5 man ZA and grabbed him and got the wood frog box. The debuff for my Time Warp was at 8 minutes. Then I just grabbed him again with 3 minutes on the debuff and got the wood frog box again. So it appears they have changed his timers lower limit to 5 minutes.

Easy to find as a hunter. Put beasts on track, and find Flik's frog. He'll be the little one chasing it. As the other posters have said, click the frog to get Flik to stop.

Make a macro and set it to to a hotkey. Run around the Darkmoon Faire mashing the crap out of the hotkey.

This is the macro:
/target Flik

When you find Flik, he'll be chasing his frog. Talk to the frog to stop it and let Flik catch up. Talk to Flik and buy the frog off of him. It's a limited supply item so he won't always be chasing his frog, but when he does... it'll be about 15-30 minutes after it was last caught and purchased.

...the most interesting frog-chaser in the world.

As long as nobody else is trying to get this you can just wait for Flik behind the sandbox around the purple curtain he runs around both sides of it. Don't worry if you can't click on the frog right away your pony is a great deal faster than they are.
