These plans are a rare spawn. For my part I know I have waited more than one hour near Muuran in Desolace and he didn't had it in his list, so the respawn rate is slow.

Many posted this is hard to get and the respawn time was a long one, so I tested a theory I had right now: I parked my main in Desolace at Muuran and logged my alt and ran for the goblin in Badlands.

The pattern was not in Desolace when I logged out, and 5-10mins later when I arrived in Badlands the recipe was there. I bought it with that character, logged my main, and sure is, the recipe was there.

Either it spawned during the ~10mins I wasn't at Muuran, or it's simple as that you have to buy it from 1 of the vendors to trigger it to spawn at the other.

All in all, took me less than 15mins to get 2 patterns, hope my theory is correct, then it shouldn't be as bad to get it for you guys out there. ;)

If you can't find the Plans for the Iron Shield Spike, this is a great way to level Blacksmithing. You should already be collecting most of the mats en masse anyhow, such as Iron, and the stones. The Silver might be a tad more difficult for you to get your hands on, depending on your level of dedication.

These plans are difficult to come by because there are bots who continously farm this. On my server there are 2 that I've seen. I know this because I'm farming the NPC Jazzrik for the Bloodsail rep to cap revered. I hope you do not have this problem on your realm.

There is another vendor for this, High Admiral "Shelly" Jorrik. Bit of a swim to get to him though :-)

lol i dont know wut the respawn is but i stood next to Muuran n he didnt have it so i joined BG n wen i was out baaam problem solved (i think i was in bg for like 20mins) ^_^

There's an easier place to get them and i can almost guarantee that You'll get them This NPC Sells them and is in a rather remote place so not many others will visit her,Just swim from stormwind harbor.

Can still be bought from Muuran at Ghost Walker Post in patch 4.0.3a, a bit difficult to see as he is mostly covered by trees.

As of patch 4.0.6.... Horde Side:

Jazzrik - No longer exists at this specified location, if at all.

So, the only vendor I know of to get this from is Muuran inn Desolace and IS at the specified location above. Took me 3 days to get it, but then again didn't waste time waiting on it at that local. Did wise up though and start using my mage to teleport to TB and fly over.... much quicker. After I started this tactic, got it on second try.

This pattern seems to only spawn on one of the vendors at a time (the concept sounds stupid right?), so if you're horde, and its on the alliance guy (and you dont have an ally alt), you're screwed. I bought one at Arathi (alliance vendor), it was spawned as soon as i logged off and back on in Dun Morogh (neutral vendor), i bought that one, and it showed up as soon as i logged off/on in Desolace (horde vendor), and the 4th neutral vendor in badlands doesnt exist anymore, so repeat as necessary.

Before trying this id spent many MANY hours waiting at the horde friendly vendors, so it seems pretty accurate to me, crappy mechanic for low pop servers, eh?

I just found these plans in Arathi Highlands in the alliance camp at Refuge Point the vendor Jannos ironwill (co-ords 40,47) (next to the smelting point) had them for sale

I got mine from 舰队司令“贝壳”约里克 in Dun Morogh. I went to desolace first, Muuran didn't have it, so I went to Dun Morogh and the Admiral had it. I hope I didn't just get lucky, for the sake of the other blacksmiths.

Went to Muuran first. Nada. Then checked the Admiral. Nada. Back to Muuran - got the plans. The Badlands guy is no longer in the game - so ignore him.

Camped out with Muuran for about two hours to get them. Then when I passed by later and talked to him on the off chance, he had them again.

This NPC is not currently available. There is a description 结实的铁锤 mentioning that this NPC is in Westfall. I have just now searched Westfall in its entirety and I can confirm that Jorrik is NOT in Westfall.

This post will contradict some of the previous comments on this page and also the 舰队司令“贝壳”约里克 page. All I will say is that things change in WoW over time.

While camped here mapping coordinates and stuff for an AddOn which uses this location, I noticed something strange.

When I clicked on the Good Admiral he had the 设计图：结实的铁锤. Some minutes later I clicked again and he did not have the plans. Then some time after that he had the plans again.

The plans are coming and going into/out of his inventory on a cyclical basis.

I suspect the presence of the plans is being rotated between the NPCs. This ensures everyone who is patient has a realistic chance. It safeguards against a Horde player being unable to get the plan if the plan is stuck on the Alliance only vendor, for example.

Respawn rate for the plans is also fast. In the time it took to compose this post, I bought and then was able to buy again.

Looks like as of Legion High Admiral "Shelly" Jorrik is no longer available. Looks like its back to camping Muuran!

The Admiral is gone. I waited until it was too late to check here. So the only option for the Horde is Muuran in Desolace.

They need to update this page for real searches of these plans. Some NPCs are GONE and no one has updated where to find stuff yet.
