Curious if the other faction can see the message.
I wonder just how many characters we can use in the Message. 20? 40? 120?
Hopefully enough to type:
Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
Well.. It does say WARNING sign.
WARNING: There's a rogue behind you.

And while someone of the opposing faction stands their, scratching their head in confusion, that's when you pop out of

I see great potential for this thing.
It is not a scrap board that you can write or draw anything on it.
Here is the deal;
-You use the item.
-You kneel down infront of the item on the ground. (Item is not visible to others yet)
-Then you will be able to choose one of the options that listed on the dialog box.
-After that item will be visible.
There are tons of options on that dialog box tho, like;
-Need damage dealer, healer, tank.
And so on.
After you choose one of them, item's name will be the option. So you will be putting a warning sign, that named after your chosen option.
Name text is a bit little, but when you mouse over the sign, you can see the item's name from the tooltip window.
Beware of Fatty
This and several other things definitely contribute a Dark Souls vibe.
you can place with pre-set messages warning people, or misleading them.

without proper timing and movement.
that can come and kick your teeth in if you open yourself to PvP.
Definitely helps to partake in some jolly co-operation if you decide to tackle some of the more demanding tasks of the island...

I also found these in wowheads database, but i can not choose any of them when placing
Horrible drop rate, so much fun to wait ages for that dude and then so disappointed that it does not drop again.
is, but I am certain that it is lower than the 1% shown in loot drop table. More people should use wowhead looter to update drop percentages. I have seen people farm Jakur every 30-60 minutes, round the clock and not get the drop. I personally have logged 170 kills since 6.0.3 went live. And that doesn't counts all of the jakur kills i put in on my 7- 90 level toons, during the timeless isle/siege of oggrimar expansion. I would guess, that my kills have left me in the ballpark of 0 drops in 300 kills. Celebrate if you get one and plant signs all over your garrisons front door.. I stopped trying to farm him for the toy when i need to get my 7th 90 rolling up. I end with 189kills, no toy. My best guses from chatting with those that did get it the drop rate appears to be 1 drop in 300 kills, which puts it in the range of .03 % drop rate.
happy farming, getting exalted with emperor shao should come easy if you farm for the warning sigh toy.
Put this in front of Therazane
"Amazing Chest Ahead"
I just was talking to a gm, and he said it you can only loot timeless isle rares once a day now. I took a screen shot of the conversation.
dont know if I believe him. Not that he was lying on purpose, but i dont think he really knew. Wouldnt this be a pretty big change that would be posted somewhere?
today after farming Jakur for a few days. Took about 50 kills to get it but he only spawns every 35-60 minutes so takes a while. Go do something else for 30 minutes after each kill and you'll be Ok, average spawn was about 45 minutes.
Finally got it! 262 kills! Don't give up! Only missing the Crab now! Only 15 kills though.... time to get more serious! ;)
I finally got it today. FINALLY! It took 348 kills.
Finally got it after 250+ kills (total time farmed ~115 hours). Like most other rares on timeless isle he has a respawn of 30-60 min. Thus you can safely go do your own things for 30 min after the kill - you will not miss him. The next 1-30 min are however key to farming. A timer works great for this. Here are some tricks to increase the odds of getting the toy:
1. Get a rare tracking addon and turn on "sound in backround" option. His vignette (marker on minimap) spawns about 30 seconds before him, so you can just have your farm character window run on the backround, and only react to loud noise from the addon. If you're only after him - you can also turn off other rare notifications (there are 5 that spawn nearby and will trigger the addon otherwise).
2. Warmode and non-warmode spawns are completely independant. However different servers are sometimes not - current instancing will try to minimize map instances by putting characters from multiple servers on a single map. Good for server load, not so good for farming - more competition. Thus you can have 2 independant characters farm it at the same time. There is a downside for this method - sometimes his spawn window will happen at the same time, and becomes tricky to navigate (switching characters every 2 minutes is annoying and will lose you some kills due to other people farming).
3. A same-account two characters logged in at once trick. If you kick out your character by logging in on the same account but with a different client - the old one will stay in the world for about a minute. You can leverage this behaviour by having 2 clients with 2 characters:
log in on character 1, create a lfg group
log in on second client with character 2, get an invite to that group
log in on character 1, invite character 2
log in on character 2, accept invite - this should result in a group of 2 characters with one of them being offline
stay on character 2, wait for Jakur's vignette spawn (see 1)
as soon as you hear Jakur vignette spawn, log in on character 1 and kill/loot him - if you've done everything correctly (and have fast load times - ssd helps a lot), you'll have character 2 still in the world, and he'll get kill credit
get on character 2 and loot - must be swift, his corpse despawns very fast even with loot inside, you have about 30-40s
This way you've effectively doubled your gain from a single kill (that's how I got it in 115 hours instead of 200+). You could probably scale it to 3 chracters, but that'll be even trickier. I'd suggest using this with warmode off - there are usually less people camping, and you won't get ganked.
4. There will be other people nearby, and some will be waiting for him. Be polite and invite them, and share what you know on respawn times. You'll save both your and their time if noone's trying to snipe. Also, you only need to tag him to get loot - if you can, try doing it without instantly killing, and letting other people to tag.
GL with your toy/achieve
Just want to confirm you CAN obtain this from a trial character. After 300+ kills, I finally got it.
Can anyone confirm that this mob can be looted more than once a day? ie. is there anyone who got the toy on the second kill onwards in a given day?
EDIT: Dropped for me after 126 attempts in total, and i was on the 5th attempt of the day on the same toon. Therefore it can 100% be looted multiple times a day for those still wondering, as of 8.3
The rare spawns usually at 40 or 60 minutes after kill (in some cases ~30 minutes) - so keep track of the kill!
Use addon 'Rarespawn' - to inform You if he shows up (as after the 'rare star' shows up on the map, he then takes ~20 sec to actually to show up)
The drop chance must be really low (or I'm just unlucky), as I've got it at 309th kill.
And it was pretty wierd - I was camping him on both my accounts, as soon as he spawned - I killed him - and the somehow the toy dropped for both of them (separate loot).
Still drops in 9.1.5. Poor drop rate. Not sure how many times I killed this Rare back in day? However 76 kills over the past week.
Timer is anywhere between 33 to 65 minutes. Sometimes I would just camp there and ensure the addon Silver Dragon was on. An alarm goes off when something nearby spawns. Although you will get lots of false warnings with the nearby Rares & Evermaw when he swims by
Other times I just parked an Alt there and logged in. Occasionally it was just sitting there waiting to be hit. Not many people in the area just before the release of 9.2
Happy toy hunting
