Any news on what the gfx on the gear will look like? T5 perhaps?

My best guess would be a darker shade of T5, with either a cold blue tone or the same volcanic tone.

I very disappointed with the lack of intellect on this set. Do they expect enhancement shaman to run around with < 6000 mana pools?

The lack of hit rating on this set (meaning none at all) is a major failure yet again from Blizzard's part, seeing as how surely the clear majority of enhancement shamans dual wield.

Blizzard fails at a catastrophic level in the respect that they neglected to add some hit rating to this set, seeing as how hit rating is extremely important for enhancement shamans. In fact, enhancement shamans is the class that gains most from hit rating, since all their melee damage is weaponbased and procbased, unlike rogues or fury warriors.

As a pvp set it's assumed that you'll be wielding a two-hander for the burst damage, hence no +hit rating on the set.

A bigger oversight was the initial lack of +hit rating on the new raid tier sets, which has now been fixed.

I had originally dismissed the idea of getting arena armour for that reason, but am now considering it again because of the extra armour and insane amount of stamina it has.

Blizzard made another nice flop with this sucky set.

Shaman is a broken class, first fix the class then make equip for the class.

Shaman enhancment should need for a PvP dedicated Set:

- Stamina
- Attack Power
- Melee Crit
- Intellect
- Spell damage
- Mana regen

Look at the druid feral equip, is just ...how i can say... OVERPOWERED
They got Strenght, Agility, Stamina, Intellect, Healing bonus, Mana regen all
Like the overpowered class ever they got a talent tree that gives all bonus for each stats.

Gief shaman talents which use strenght to increase spell damage and mana regen.

Shamanistic Rage is a broken talent as the Class.
You cant talk about equip while youre class is the most nerfed in the game.

Now, here's a funny thing I noticed.

PvP seems to ignore +hit to some point as opposed to PvE when it comes to dual wielding.

I tested this many times by using different sets of gear.

I am 0/42/19 so I have 9% hit rating from talents. Here is what I did.

I duelled a holy paladin in batches of 2 minutes using ONLY autoattack as well as autoattack imbued by windfury, swapping my gear for equal AP/Crit bit varying Hit gear.

In gear lacking hit completely and 20 crit / 1k ap I was doing the exact same dps countless of times varying only very very little from different gear with 80 hit rating with the same crit and ap. My DPS always normalized at the same DPS with only 10ish DPS varying at tops.

Whilest when I tested my DPS in PvE with these same sets, I noticed a very sharp decrease of DPS using the gear without hit as opposed to the gear with hit rating.

Ofcourse i have a 9% base from talents, so I don't know to what level hit rating matters in PvP. But from my experience there seems to be a different formula used in PvP as opposed to PvE. (Much like how weaponskill is important in PvE, but not in PvP.)

I am not sure if this is intended or not, but I think shamans don't get the hit rating penalty in PvP when dual wielding. But do get the penalty in PvE.

For that matter, I've been focusing my gear more on other stats whilest I PvP actively, and have not noticed any decrease in damage or any misses whilest dual wielding with little hit rating.

I prefer dual wielding for Arena as it's more stable, more reliable and more interrupting, especially in 2v2 and 3v3.

Also, WF on both weapons, 2.7 and 2.6 speed offhand, seems to increase dps over using any other imbuement given. dual wf on weapons despite the nerf still seems the best way to go.

Also with 2 handed, if you're lucky, sure you nuke anyone down in no time. But you have about the same chances to be unlucky, which means you'll be autoattacking without any proc for longer then 10/12 seconds. Which in arena means death.

Dual wielding with wf on both gives me a reliable constant DPS output, procs alot and quickly after every 3 second CD. Mainhand for 2k, offhand for 1k on average with 20% crit rating.

I'll consider posting graphs and stats of hit rating and dual wield enhancement shamans in PvP as opposed to PvE and how much it influences. It just doesn't seem too. :)

anyone tried weapson switching with mod or otherwise to get the burst damage 2h on SS when it's on cd and then switching back to DW? might be a silly idea but if you got WF on em all beforehand it could work well

I'm still woefully under-geared, so I figured that this S2 set would be a good place to start for my Enhancement Shammy. I've got one S1 weapon (mace), but I really need more armor / stats right now!

Once I've got something like this - should I try to gem it for agility? It seems like the set has STR / STA covered but it's really missing the Agility I need to get my crit % up.

I wonder if these stats will get changed by WotLK or 3.0 (if 3.0 comes out before) much like they did for the ret pally sets when their mechanics changed. Seeing as how str will drop to a very weak stat in terms of usefulness - even below int with enh talents- and agil becomes extremely important.

Change that way of thinking. When WotLK hits, the following changes will be made to enhancement shamans.

STR = 1 Attack Power.
AGI = 1 Attack Power.
INT = 1 Attack Power ( With Talents )

So when that hunter gear drops, that has +40 agi, +30 int, and 84 attack power.

That's 40+30+84 = 154 attack power, plus crit, and spell crit. From a core stat standpoint, enhancement shamans are getting one of "the" biggest buffs in the game.

Not to mention that the talent which gives you attack power from int is on the second tier, so you can see people picking it up with improved ghost wolf. Elemental shaman with improved ghostwolf, 2200 spell damage and 2600 attack power? Yes, please.

This set is now available again via Kezzik the Striker in Area 52, Netherstorm. Good for those using Transmogrification, especially if you're trying to obtain pieces of the tiers from Serpentshrine Caverns and Tempest Keep, since the sets have identical models.
