This is one of the easiest sets to collect. With the nifty new instance reset feature added by Blizzard you can take a team of 3-4 players and farm the Ring of Law (BRD) till you get all your pieces. Enjoy!

This comes from the arena type place in BRD ring of law not far into the instance and is easy to get to and do.

Although "only" mail and not plate, this is a great soloing/damage dealer set for non tanking warriors or even retribution paladins. Probably the best way to up your crit chance at this level (+42crit with all pieces and a lot of agility).

But do yourself and others a favour and turn off the helm graphics ;-)

Although I'm a paly I think it is perfect hunter set.A lot of stamina,agility(42 crit chance also with full set)and plus it gives strength and a little of intellect.So hunters farm arena at ring of law place in BRD and enjoy in your new set. :)

By the way the chest piece has less chance ti drop so don't be suprised if u got to kill gorosh the dervish (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=9027) few times to get it.

It is very easy set to collect but I think set bonuses should be better.

get some nice +str enchants on your bracers and gloves
and you wil hit hard

I would consider it as Shamman more then a Hunter set.
Hunter don't need Strength bonuses.

All of the strength on these pieces are being converted to Attack Power in 2.3, widening it's appeal to all physical dpsers in mail (and maybe even a few in plate!)

shammys if there is a hunter in the group that doesnt have the piece that drops DO NOT NEED stamina and agility its a hunter set not a shammy set

He's right, though it's only a tiny stat (agility) that tips it in favor of a hunter needing.

Shammies should have the right to roll because it's great for them too but I really thing Hunters NEED it more than a Shammy does. Shammies technically don't even get more priority than Paladins in this case, so it makes it obvious.

This set is meant for hunters an enhance shamans. Pallys and warriors should be wearing plate by lvl 52 or they need to l2p.

yeah i love this set im a marksman hunter and use this for its AP,agility and ranged crit this thing rocks and i go it quick cuase i do that instince alot just cause its so fun =)

this set is nice for dps warriors. the only thing that not suit them aswell for the rest of the set is the gloves whích gives int. But the stats are nice and the set bonuses is also nice.

Anyone have any other pieces of equipment that would go with this set to make it look good? like weapons and shoulders and capes and junk? I'm trying to collect all the classic sets and put some finishing touches on them to make them look awesome and any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Currently it's even easier.

I've been able to solo the arena with a purely BM hunter at level 55 with a combination of level 35-50 blue items, nothing really impressive with the exception of two heirloom pieces (shoulders and chest). My build had some points in tanking talents (2/2 Improved Mend Pet, 3/3 Thick Hide, 2/3 Catlike Reflexes), and the pet of choice was a bear. Turtles seem great to gank elites but having a swipe with a cooldown of 3.5 seconds makes keeping agro on the packs particularly easy. Glyph of Mending+Blood of the Rhino=lots of healing.

I've fought the dervish, the ogre mage and the spider, the spider being hard until you learn how to do it, the other two a joke (tank and spank). About the spider: AoE web is what you have to avoid, because when you're both trapped your pet will lose agro. You can just mend pet, apply the sting (Scorpid if your pet has problems) and shoot a bit whenever your pet is trapped (knowing there won't be another web in the next seconds), step back, and wait for the next web. If you can't keep distance, blow Bestial Wrath or Feign Death when trapped.

It's probably doable at earlier levels, but I think Thunderstomp is a must, so even with amazing gear level 52 is a reasonable minimum. Not much skill required (I'm new to the class), just some threat management. If you have trouble with the packs: Cower just as you pull (damage will be maximum), Explosive&Frost traps in front of you, Mend Pet, Volley. You'll most likely than not pull agro: wait until they're about to touch you (slowed&taking damage), then FD. Your pet will have several seconds to recover health, and mobs will take damage again when running back.

Note that all this was just out of fun, as it takes about 20-30 minutes each run and any potential drops you may already not need get outdated very fast anyway. It's a beautiful set for collectionists, and certainly amazing at 52, but not worth all the trouble once you're beyond the early 50s.

The ORIGINAL Gladiator set, long before Arenas were even a twinkle in Blizzard's eye.

I remember farming for this set with my Shaman, when seeing an Enhance Shaman with an Unstoppable Force at Tarren Mill would send Alliance running the other way.

For future transmogrifying hunters who are looking to use this set as a base for a simple/black look for their characters:

As Aran noted in an above reply, the Ebonhold "set" is visually identical to this set, except for the helmet. Check your AH before you start farming.

This is a matching belt available from an Alliance-only quest if you can't find the belt on the AH.

These three shoulders match the set's hue quite well.

As for grinding The Gladiator itself, it took me roughly 50 runs to get every item, which wouldn't be a problem, but you can only reset the instance so many times per hour.

This whole set has received stat updates several times to bring it in line with gear from similar levels, and remove the old vanilla itemization from it. Here's what it used to be back in the day:

1384 Armor
+87 Stamina
+40 Strength
+68 Agility
+12 Intellect
(Chest) Equip: Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 2%.

(2) Set: +20 Armor.
(3) Set: Increased Defense +2.
(4) Set: +10 Attack Power.
(5) Set: Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 1%.
