This is the 25 man Holy Paladin t8 set. There will be gear tokens available from the 25man version of Ulduar. (25 man gives the Conquerer Set)
The gear's iLevel 226, which is on par with Kel'thuzad gear from naxx25.
We can assume that the final boss in Ulduar 25 man will drop gear with an iLevel of 239

It seems like the most popular 2 Pieces would be the Shoulders and Helm due to the current "ideal" Holy Paladin set. The 4 Piece bonus does not seem too appealing to me. So those two pieces would seem to be the ideal pieces for now.

Gloves and legs totally fail in pally itemization, the helm and shoulders are amazing and the chestplate is meh.
Set bonuses are worthless. I crit for 8-9k with holy shock so i'd expect to crit for maybe 10-11k with holy shock when uld comes out and I'm geared up.
15% of 11,000 is only 1650 additional healing... =\

The Legs seem awesome IMO but the gloves and shoulders seem to be pretty bad. The Helm is okay I guess. I would rather have have MP5 than crit because so much gear can be supplements with crit(trinkets, rings ect ect). The Chest is good but Chestplate or Greaters Aspect from 25man OS gives you a little bit more but then again the chest has sockets. Its a typical set that once again, lack luster for something great. I expect many raider will be picking up off set items and just use 2pc bonus cause the 4pc as everyone else has said is crap.

The two piece bonus would work perfectly with the two piece bonus from the
Redemption set
-10% crit on Holy Shock and HoT on crit...works out pretty nicely :)

Ugh. In my opinion the 2 set bonus is required for the change in Infusion of Light, though with it, the change in the talent is pretty good. But when it comes to the rest of the set...while the 4 piece bonus isn't needed, there really isn't much else that I saw in 3.1 for us in terms of legs or hands, nearly every caster piece (cloth, leather, mail, and plate) gives mp5 or Spirit at this point it seems.
EDIT: Assuming I can find the time to get into a good Uld raid, I would like to pick up the 4pc bonus for PvP, because the 2s reduction is really nice for healing in 18/53/0 or some variation thereof. Prot Healing ftw >.<

It's by far useless gear thanks to both of the useless bonuses in PvE. Many theorycentered PvE healers will end up wearing 4 pieces of T7.5 until T9 comes out. 5% reduced mana cost on HL is just hard to overcome.
In PvP this gear will probably prove itself and at least for my part I will be gathering it just for that. 2 pieces of valor, 2 pieces of conqueror's.

Now they've changed the 4 piece set bonus, it's slightly better and effectively makes Sacred Shield absorb 750 dmg, but with the poor itemization, it's still not worth getting 4 pieces.
I'd recommend getting the t8 head / shoulders, keeping the t7.5 legs / gloves and keeping the chest from 25man Sarth.
Now that they've nerfed infusion of light, it's going to make spam healing a lot slower, so that 2 piece set bonus may end up being very useful, especially given that you should easily have over 50% crit on Shock anyway and 15% of a 7k crit is basically a 1k HoT.
I think the only downside is that the HoT lasts 9sec and (with Glyph) Shock is only going to have a 5sec cd, so (unless the HoT stacks) it's not going to be overly helpful for MT healing.

If any of you commenters played the Paladin class, you'd know that Sacred Shield is scaled with spell power - 0.75 damage absorbed per point of spell power - plus the new Protection talents increase its damage absorbed by 20% - and it lasts a minute. With 2,500 spell power raid buffed (which most paladins have) it will absorb 2,850 damage per proc. Increasing the proc rate (6s -> 4s) it goes from absorbing 28,500 damage per minute to 42,750 damage per minute. Not bad eh?

I will be using the t8.5 shoulders and helm. The chest isn't THAT bad but its not worth going through the @#$%ty pants or hands to get the lame 4 set bonus. Especially considering this lovely little
breastplate
that we wouldn't have. As for leggings and hands, well I guess we have to wait till more of the loot table is revealed to find matches for those.... or snag some pieces from the ele shamans ;)

Known tokens locations as of 16th April@04:45AM are:
Head: Thorim.
Chest: Hodir.
Hands: Mimiron.
Leggings: Freya.
Spaulders: Unknown yet, but Ensidia has cleaned every boss except Yogg-saron at the time of writing, therefore it's safe to assume the spaulders drop off the one and only remaining boss; Yogg-saron.
This comment will probably get downrated over time as the database gets filled and links are being fixed between the items and their respective tokens but if you want the info in the meantime, at least... it's "there".

The two piece bonus on this set is a ridiculous and trivial bonus. Lets just say you get a 8-9k crit on Holy shock, average it out at 8.5k. 15% is (8,500 x .15) 1,275. 1,275 over 9 seconds is 141.6666 per tick. Woopty effing doo. If a 141 hp tick makes the difference between survival in your raid you fail.

At this moment the 2p bonus is bugged and will cost 19% extra base mana on HS crit
, for an average of 1300 over 9 seconds this is extremly bad.
Holy Shock cost 21% of base mana (923), if critted it will cost an additional 19%. Totalling a 40% of ur base mana (4394) cost...around 1758 mana total depending on race. Obviosly illumination will return 60% from the critted Holy Shock, making it a total of
1225
mana cost for Holy Shock crits with a measely HoT that is never going to fight up against 5% of Holy Light or better plate items.
Obviously Benediction and SoW Glyph reduce the cost of Holy Shock, benediction seems to reduce the cost of the Holy Mending effect.
So far no announcement yet if it will be fixed.

Personally, I wont be rolling on any tiers as a holy paladin. Doing the numbers, 4 piece on t7.5 is far too good to give up to the increased stats on some of these pieces. Plus to boot, I think t7.5 gloves and pants are better than the t8.5 anyways, due to the itemization.

This set ive seen gets no love at all. Its not like losing 50 crit rating is going to make you super terrible. Agreed that losing the nice 5% holy light spam sucks but that just means you cant spam as much, so learn to heal better. The other increase in stats should compensate and if not your not going to become the worse healer because you use this set.

I can witness this for you.
I take what my guild will allow me to loot in terms of 3 types of loot for a holy pally.
Just to recap, I'm sure everyone is aware; pallies get crit/haste, crit/mp5, or haste/mp5.
When using mp5 + the other stat, it's best keep crit above 35% base. And you need to mix the crit/mp5 and haste/mp5 to achieve it properly.
With the mp5 set, however you do it, the mana pool at the start of the fight is around 22-24k.
With the crit/haste set it's above 30k.
I have tried both in naxx25, and tbh, it don't really matter what you wear for that raid session because both are very decent. There just is not much you would need to worry about in terms of mana.
Now, Ulduar is a completely different story. I have tried both sets, and have decided that the crit/haste (with maximum mana pool) is the better of the two.
If you choose to use the set bonus you will have to put a mp5 item in one of the tier slots, and even that is not bad b/c it's when you look at the 'whole' set before you can decide.
Ulduar is very raid damage intensive, and not just a fight or two, all of them, with the exception of razor.
Many players cite recount, hps tab. Yes, pallies show around a 1200-1400 score for a given fight, while other healing classes end up with 3k+. Due to the fact other healing classes have consistent and very strong aoe, chain, and hot heals where the pallies end up losing mana for a heal that ended up not being needed.
It seems to me that the better my gear gets, the lower the hps is on recount, so I have been ignoring it for one single factor. My main target doesn't fall down, I don’t care what fight it is, when I remain focused during a fight, even those that result in a wipe, I and my target are usually in the group of the last 4-5 players to fall down.
Heal anyway, you have too, it's the job. Remember, in most if not all raids, single target is what you excel at.
So, I can defiantly agree, stack int gems, int chants, and then buff other items with what’s available after you have capped int.
When a given fight last 4 minutes or more, you will use divine plea at least 4 times during the fight. With a mana pool of 30k, that equals 30k mana regen (just for the first 4 minutes), and this only looks at self casting to gain mana.
In order to regenerate 30k mana with mp5 stats, that’s a fudgy number because everyone has a different total of mp5. I'll break it down in reverse as to what you would need to compare it to.
30k divided by 48 (48 is the number of mp5 ticks in 4 minutes -- and remember, this is the 'while casting number') = 625mp5. That’s just to be on equal terms.
Bear in mind, that when you use an mp5 set, you have say 24k mana, not 30. So, the mp5 number needs to be even higher, to be equal, that 625 turns into a number at 100% + the extra needed (and I can't even guess on how to find that)
