Brief Overview
The power of Azerite Traits scales based on the item level of the piece of Azerite Armor. The higher the item level, the stronger the effect of each Azerite Trait
Azerite Traits are spread into 4 Trait categories which correspond to the Rings on Azerite Armor. This determines what Azerite Traits are competing on the same Ring of Azerite Armor. In this guild, we'll highlight all known Azerite Traits, segmented by their categories.

Class and Location Traits
This category contains one
Location Trait
based on how the Azerite Item was acquired and one
Spec Trait
for each spec of your class. The Traits are determined by how you got the item, and not how it's supposed to be used: PvP Traits work in PvE as well and Zone Traits work in any zone.
Ny'alotha, the Waking City
- Your secondary stats are all increased by 72 while your Corruption Level is 25 or higher.
- Your Mastery is increased by 150, plus an additional 37 for each ally also affected by Loyal to the End, up to 299. When you die, your allies gain Critical Strike, Haste, and Versatility equal to their Mastery bonus from this trait.
- Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to crash a wave upon your target for 4450 Frost damage. When your health drops below 50%, gain a shield absorbing 34895 damage within 8 sec. When this occurs, Undulating Tides cannot trigger again for 45 sec.
- Every 1500000 damage and healing done you gain Omnipotence, increasing your highest stat by 519 for 15 sec. You heal for 5% of all Arcane damage taken.
- A secondary stat of your choice is increased by 286 while using the Pocket-Sized Computation Device. Stat is chosen based on equipped Logic Board.
- Once per minute while in combat, gain 312 Haste, Critical Strike, Mastery, and Versatility for 12 sec.
- Once per minute while in combat, gain 312 Haste, Critical Strike, Mastery, and Versatility for 12 sec.
These traits are Uldir raid specific, with an effect that only procs while inside Uldir itself!
- Your armor gathers and analyzes combat data every 5 sec, increasing your primary stat by 1, stacking up to 20 times. The data decays while out of combat. Enables
within Uldir.
- Your spells and abilities have a chance to release a barrage of lasers, dealing 770 Arcane damage split among all enemies and restoring 308 health split among injured allies. Enables
within Uldir.
What is

Azerite Armor from Uldir has a zone trait that, if selected, enables
inside Uldir.
doesn't scale with item level, so a Raid Finder or Mythic piece have the same benefit as far as this bonus go.
buff is a permanent increase to your highest stat while inside Uldir.
buff is dynamic, meaning temporary effects change which stat is selected.

Nazmir
Your spells and abilities have a chance to increase your Haste by 0 for 15 sec. Killing an enemy refreshes the duration of this effect.
Your damaging abilities have a chance to invoke a tainted swamp beneath the target, siphoning (270 * 6) health from them over 6 sec.
Zuldazar
You occasionally loose a tremendous roar, increasing your Mastery by 56 and granting 13 Mastery to up to 2 nearby allies. Lasts 20 sec.
Your damaging abilities have a chance to call a Child of Rezan to viciously rend your target, dealing 156 Physical damage and causing them to bleed for damage over 12 sec.
Drustvar
Your spells and abilities have a chance to draw a
l from Thros to serve you for 14 sec. The Soul increases your Critical Strike by 0.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to draw a
from Thros to serve you for 14 sec. The Soul blasts a nearby enemy every 2 sec, dealing 198 Shadow damage.
Vol'dun
Your spells and abilities have a chance to conjure Swirling Sands, increasing your Critical Strike by 29 for 12 sec. Your critical effects extend Swirling Sands by 1 sec, up to a maximum duration of 18 sec.
Dealing damage has a chance to call down a Thunderous Blast, dealing 0 Nature damage to the enemy and increasing the damage of Thunderous Blast by 20%. At 100% increased damage, Thunderous Blast will critically hit and reset this effect.
Stormsong Valley
Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to release a tidal surge, dealing 205 Frost damage to your target and slowing their movement speed by 20% for 6 sec.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to create a Surging Droplet nearby. Collecting it increases your primary stat by 39 for 18 sec. Rarely, a Void Droplet will be created, increasing your primary stat by 77 for 18 sec instead.
Tiragarde Sound
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant you Meticulous Scheming for 8 sec, which transforms into Seize the Moment! after you cast 3 different spells, granting you 55 Haste for 20 sec seconds.
Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to fling a dagger at your target, causing them to bleed for 32 Physical damage over 12 sec, stacking up to 4 times. Stabbing them in the back applies 2 stacks.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant you 19 Mastery for 15 sec. When this effect expires it jumps once to a nearby ally, granting them 10 Mastery for 8 sec.
The MOTHERODE!!
Your spells and abilities have a chance to leak Azerite on the ground around you. Standing in the Azerite increases your primary stat by 43 for 8 sec.
Champions of Azeroth
Your spells and abilities have a chance to increase all secondary stats by 3 for 1 min, stacking up to 4 times.
Engineering
Your spells and abilities have a chance to fire a bomb at your target, which when in proximity breaks into 5 smaller bombs. Upon hitting the ground, each smaller bomb deals 224 damage to all nearby enemies. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 25.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to hurl a R.I.P that bounces among 4 enemies, dealing 3291 Fire damage to each. Beneficial spells have a chance to hurl a Mechanized External Needle Dispenser, healing up to 4 allies for 5265. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 25.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grow or shrink the world. Shrinking the world grants you 283 primary stat and 1974 maximum health for 10 sec. Growing the world grants you 388 Haste and 50% movement speed for 10 sec. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 25.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to cause the target to become a Spark Coil for 10 sec. Enemies within 8 yards of the Spark Coil take 523 damage every 2 seconds and deal 5% reduced damage to you. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 25.
Taking damage has a chance to unleash your Auto-Self-Cauterizer, healing you for 6542, removing most* bleed effects, and snaring nearby enemies by 30% for 5 sec. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 30. *Efficacy may vary.
Taking damage has a chance to call your Personal Absorb-o-Tron, absorbing the next 32907 damage you take over 1 min. Increases your Kul Tiran or Zandalari Engineering by 30.
Battle for Darkshore - Night Elf Theme
Standing still grants you Deep Roots, increasing your Versatility by 179. Moving instead grants you Uprooted, healing you for 259 every 1 sec.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to increase your Haste by 465 for 15 sec. At night, you also gain 10% movement speed for the duration.
Battle for Darkshore - Forsaken Theme
Your damaging abilities have a chance to deal 1263 Plague damage over 6 sec, and your healing abilities have a chance to restore 2415 health over 6 sec. These effects are increased by up to 100% based on the target's missing health.
Your Versatility is increased by 179. Moving near an enemy's corpse consumes their essence, restoring 1815 health.
Bwonsamdi Theme
Your spells and abilities have a chance to trigger a Soulbond. When this occurs, every 5 for 2015 sec bond with the soul of your nearest ally, granting you both 624 primary stat for 5 sec and healing each of you for 3798.
During combat, Bwonsamdi's spectral visage has a chance to appear near you, beckoning you closer. If you approach him, gain 28 to all stats, stacking up to 5 times. If you fail to heed his call, lose 1 stacks.
Your primary stat is increased by 166 while you are above 50% health. You take 15% increased damage while below 20% health.
PvP Traits
These traits are found on Gladiator gear, Warfront gear or Honorbound rep gear and some have different names based on your faction.
Taking damage increases your Stamina by 43 and your Versatility by 12 for 4 sec, stacking up to 10 times. Stacks are maximized while near an objective in a Battleground.
When you damage an enemy who is below 35% health, or fall below 35% health yourself, gain 337 primary stat and 10% movement speed for 8 sec. Can only occur once every 30 sec.
Alliance
Your abilities have a chance to increase your primary stat by 85 for 10 sec. If an ally dies nearby, you gain this effect.
Your abilities have a chance to apply 20 stacks of Battlefield Focus to an enemy, increasing damage taken from members of the Alliance by 51. Applying Battlefield Focus to a member of the Horde grants an additional 5 stacks.
Your abilities have a chance to drop an Alliance Banner for 6 sec, increasing primary stat by 77 and maximum health by 462 for yourself and up to 4 allies.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant 24 Critical Strike and 15 Haste for 10 sec. Attacking a member of the opposite faction significantly increases this chance.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant 46 Mastery and absorb 616 damage for 10 sec. Taking damage from a member of the opposite faction has a chance to activate this effect.
Your abilities have a chance to plant a factional banner for 6 sec, empowering yourself and up to 4 allies with the spirit of the Alliance.

Horde
Your abilities have a chance to increase your primary stat by 85 for 10 sec. If an ally dies nearby, you gain this effect.
Your abilities have a chance to apply 20 stacks of Battlefield Focus to an enemy, increasing damage taken from members of the Horde by 51. Applying Battlefield Focus to a member of the Alliance grants an additional 5 stacks.
Your abilities have a chance to drop a Horde Banner for 6 sec, increasing primary stat by 77 and maximum health by 462 for yourself and up to 4 allies.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant 24 Critical Strike and 15 Haste for 10 sec. Attacking a member of the opposite faction significantly increases this chance.
Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant 46 Mastery and absorb 616 damage for 10 sec. Attacking a member of the opposite faction is more likely to activate this effect.
Your abilities have a chance to plant a factional banner for 6 sec, empowering yourself and up to 4 allies with the spirit of the Horde.

Blood
Heart Strike deals an additional 77 damage when hitting 3 or more targets and heals you for a percentage of the damage done.
Death Strike heals for an additional 34 for each remaining charge of Bone Shield.
When Crimson Scourge activates, you gain 259 Haste for 5 sec, and immediately gain 5 Runic Power.
Marrowrend has a chance to grant an extra charge of Bone Shield. Bone Shield increases your Armor by 39.
Dancing Rune Weapon grants you 39 Strength, and each rune spent increases its duration by 1.0 sec, up to a maximum of 5 sec.
Casting Defile / Death and Decay impales enemies with bone spikes, inflicting 47 Physical damage and healing you for 125 per enemy.
Frost
Remorseless Winter deals an additional 39 damage. The first time Remorseless Winter deals damage to 3 different enemies, you gain Rime.
Frost Strike deals 54 additional damage with each hit and has a 15% chance on critical strikes to grant Killing Machine.
When Pillar of Frost expires, your Strength is increased by 99 for 6 sec. This effect lasts 2 sec longer for each Obliterate and Frostscythe critical strike during Pillar of Frost.
Frost Strike deals an additional 116 damage if you have at least 3 empty runes.
Pillar of Frost summons a Frostwhelp who breathes on all enemies within 20 yards in front of you for 864 Frost damage. Each unique enemy hit by Frostwhelp's Indignation grants you 35 Mastery for 6 sec, up to 175.
When empowered by Rime, Howling Blast causes a secondary burst of icy wind around you that deals 216 Frost damage to nearby enemies.
Unholy
When your ghouls expire, they explode in viscera dealing 0 Shadow damage to nearby enemies.
Apocalypse and Army of the Damned additionally summon a Magus of the Dead who hurls Frostbolts and Shadowbolts at your foes, dealing 933 each.
Dark Transformations links you and your pet with chains that deal 467 Fire damage every sec to enemies between you for 15 sec.
Bursting a Festering Wound grants you 6 Strength for 20 sec, stacking. Stacking this effect does not extend its duration.
Death Coil infects the target with Harrowing Decay, dealing 100 Shadow damage over 4 sec.
Festering Strike deals 154 additional damage and has a 10% increased chance of applying 3 Festering Wounds.
Casting Defile / Death and Decay impales enemies with bone spikes, inflicting 47 Physical damage and healing you for 125 per enemy.
Havoc
Eye Beam deals an additional (Blind Fury 180) 120 damage. Consuming a Soul Fragment reduces the cooldown of Eye Beam by 1.0 sec.
When Eye Beam finishes fully channeling, your Haste is increased by 0 for 8 sec.
Blade Dance deals 60 additional damage, and the cost of your next Blade Dance is reduced by 5 Fury for each enemy struck by the final slash.
Every 1.5 sec, increase the damage of Chaos Strike by 5 and reduce its cost by 1 Fury. This effect stacks.
Chaos Strike increases your Agility by 8 for 12 sec. Stacking this effect does not extend its duration.
Eye Beam deals an additional (73 * 10 * 2) damage. When you activate Metamorphosis, the cooldown of Eye Beam and Blade Dance is immediately reset.
Vengeance
Afflicting an enemy with a Sigil grants you 15 Agility for 6 sec and reduces the cooldown of your Sigils by 4 sec.
Fracture/Shear has a chance to rip Lesser Soul Fragments from up to 4 nearby enemies, dealing 99 Fire damage to each.
Lesser Soul Fragments restore 467 additional health, and every 40 Soul Fragments you consume causes your next Soul Cleave to grant you a Soul Barrier.
Immolation Aura increases your Armor by 81, and causes melee attackers to take 23 Fire damage.
Fiery Brand now lasts 10 sec. When Fiery Brand expires on your primary target, you gain a shield that absorbs up to 4695 damage for 15 sec, based on your damage dealt to them while Fiery Brand was active.
Demon Spikes increases your Armor by 0 every 1 sec, for 10 sec.
Balance
Lunar Strike increases the damage of your Solar Wrath by 77 for 8 sec.
Sunfire's radius is increased to 11 yds, and it deals 93 additional periodic damage.
Starfall's stars deal an additional 25 damage to nearby enemies when they damage an enemy afflicted by Moonfire.
Moonfire deals 72 additional periodic damage, and has a chance to grant Lunar Empowerment.
While Celestial Alignment is active, your damaging spells call a Streaking Star, dealing an additional 154 damage when they are not a repeat of the previous ability.
Starsurge's damage is increased by 429. Every 9 Starsurges, gain Celestial Alignment for 6 sec.
Feral
Rake deals 25 additional damage over its duration, and has a chance to grant you Berserk for 6 sec. Cannot occur while Incarnation: King of the Jungle/Berserk is active.
Rip deals 52 additional periodic damage, and has a 6% chance to award a combo point each time it deals damage.
Ferocious Bite has a 8% chance per combo point to increase the damage of your next Maim by 2705 per combo point.
Combo-point generating abilities deal 86 additional instant damage and reduce the cooldown of Berserk by 0.3 sec (and if Talented - Incarnation: King of the Jungle by 0.2).
Tiger's Fury increases your critical strike by 339 and lasts 12 sec (with Predator - 17 sec).
Shred deals 99 additional damage, and Brutal Slash/Swipe deals 37 additional damage, to enemies suffering from your Thrash.
Guardian
Consuming Gore grants you 104 mastery for 5 sec and has a 15% chance to activate Gore.
Mangle extends the duration of your active Frenzied Regeneration by 1.0 sec, up to 3 sec, and Frenzied Regeneration restores an additional 74 health every sec.
Maul deals 149 additional damage, and Maul reduces the cost of your next Ironfur by 15 Rage stacking up to 3 times.
Ironfur increases your Agility by 25 and has a 10% chance to grant 2 applications.
Increases your Mastery by 0 and Armor by 0 for 10 sec after Survival Instincts expires.
Thrash's direct damage has a 50% chance to grant you 13 Agility for 12 sec, stacking up to 5 times.
Restoration
Rejuvenation's duration is increased by 1 sec, and it heals for an additional 91 when it is your only heal over time on the target.
When Wild Growth expires, it heals the target for 291 if they are injured or it reduces the cooldown of Innervate by 1 sec if they are not.
Swiftmend heals the target for 222 over 9 sec.
When Innervate expires, for each spell the target cast using Innervate, you gain 59 Intellect for 20 sec and 0.5% mana.
Regrowth heals for 72 more over its duration, and its healing over time effect also applies to the target of your Lifebloom.
Ysera's Gift now heals every 4 sec, and heals for an additional 25 for each of your active Rejuvenations.
Beast Mastery
Barbed Shot has a chance equal to your critical strike chance to grant you 86 Agility for 8 sec.
Bestial Wrath increases your Agility by 78 for 8 sec.
Kill Command deals 525 additional damage, and has a chance to summon a Dire Beast.
Aspect of the Wild increases your Mastery by 31, and grants you a charge of Barbed Shot.
Kill Command has a 40% chance to deal an additional 92 damage and grant your Pet 15 Focus.
Barbed Shot deals additional damage over its duration, and Frenzy's duration is increased to 9.0 sec.
Marksmanship
Rapid Fire damage is increased by up to 121 * 1.5 per shot fired, this damage starts lower and increases per shot of Rapid Fire. Aimed Shot has a 15% chance to reset the cooldown of Rapid Fire.
Rapid Fire deals an additional 200 damage over its duration, and each shot has a 30% chance to generate 2 additional Focus.
When Rapid Fire finishes fully channeling, your Haste is increased by 0 for 8 sec.
Multi-Shots that damage more than 3 targets fire an additional wave of bullets, dealing 59 damage and reducing the cooldown of your Aspects by 1 sec.
Steady Shot increases the damage of your next Aimed Shot against the target by 56, stacking up to 5 times.
While Trueshot is active you gain 138 Critical Strike rating every sec, stacking up to 10 times.
Survival
During Coordinated Assault, Mongoose Bite / Raptor Strike increases your Agility by 12 and your Speed by 3 for 6 sec. Stacks up to 5 times.
Serpent Sting damage applies Latent Poison, stacking up to 10 times. Your Mongoose Bite Raptor Strike consumes all applications of Latent Poison to deal 36 Nature damage per stack.
Your maximum Focus is increased to 120, and Mongoose Bite / Raptor Strike increases your Critical Strike by 11 for 12 sec, stacking up to 5 times
Your pet's Basic Attack deals 19 additional damage to enemies suffering from your Serpent Sting.
Wildfire Bomb drops a small cluster of bombs around the target, each exploding for 31 damage.
Mongoose Bite, Raptor Strike deals an additional 27 damage and reduces the remaining cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 1.0 sec.
Arcane
When you are above 70% mana, Arcane Blast deals 52 additional damage.
When you are below 70% mana, Arcane Blast's cost is reduced by 150.
Arcane Barrage deals an additional 55 damage per Arcane Charge against targets below 20% health.
Each wave of Arcane Missiles deals 14 more damage than the previous one.
Evocation grants 2 Arcane Charge, and while channeling Evocation, your Intellect is increased by 45 every 1 sec. Lasts 10 sec.
Arcane Explosion deals an additional 5 damage. When it damages at least 3 targets, it has a 10% chance to deal an additional 50 Arcane damage to them.
Arcane Blast deals an additional 34 damage and has a 10% chance to generate a second Arcane Charge.
Fire
Fire Blast increases your Mastery by 0 for 3 sec.
Fireball deals an additional 34 damage, and has a 5% chance to launch a second Fireball.
Consuming Hot Streak grants you a 8 Intellect for 12 sec. This effect stacks up to 3 times.
Enhanced Pyrotechnics grants an additional 0 Haste.
Pyroblast deals 572 additional damage. When you activate Combustion, you gain 273 Critical Strike, and up to 4 nearby allies gain 68 Critical Strike for 10 sec.
Pyroblast burns enemies between you and the target for 124 Fire damage over 6 sec.
Frost
Icy Veins grants you a charge of Fingers of Frost and increases your Intellect by 35 for 10 sec.
Flurry has a 10% chance each strike to call down an icy comet, crashing into your target and nearby enemies for 147 Frost damage.
Ice Lance deals an additional 13 damage to enemies recently damaged by your Frozen Orb.
Frostbolt increases the damage of Frostbolt by 13, stacking up to 3 times. This effect is reset if you cast Frostbolt at a different enemy.
Ice Lance deals an additional 58 damage and reduces the cooldown of Frozen Orb by 1.0 sec.
Each of your Icicles deals 330 additional damage, and when an Icicle deals damage you have a 5% chance to gain the Fingers of Frost effect.
Brewmaster
Breath of Fire deals 60 additional damage over its duration, and has a chance to summon a Healing Sphere each time it deals damage.
Blackout Strike deals an additional 169 damage. Blackout Strike critical hits grant an additional 1 stack of Elusive Brawler.
Drinking Purifying Brew while at Heavy Stagger causes your next 3 melee abilities to heal you for 360.
Expel Harm restores 60 health over 6 sec for each Healing Sphere consumed.
When you Blackout Strike, your Stagger is reduced by 62.
Ironskin Brew increases your Armor by 69, and has a 10% chance to not consume a charge.
Gain up to 153 Mastery based on your current level of Stagger.
Mistweaver
Life Cocoon's cooldown is reduced by 20 sec. When Life Cocoon expires, it releases a burst of mist that restores 12020 health split among the target and nearby allies.
Your Essence Font's initial heal is increased by 26 and has a chance to reduce the cooldown of Thunder Focus Tea by 1 sec.
After using Thunder Focus Tea, your next spell gives 80 of a stat for 10 sec:
Enveloping Mist: Critical Strike
Renewing Mist: Haste
Vivify: Mastery
Rising Sun Kick: Versatility
When your Renewing Mists heals an ally, you have a chance to gain 128 Haste for 10 seconds.
Your Enveloping Mists heal the target for 62 each time they take damage.
Your Vivify heals for an additional 85. Vivify critical heals reduce the cooldown of your Revival by 1.0 sec.
Windwalker
Your Combo Strikes grant you the Fury of Xuen, giving your next Fists of Fury a 3% chance to grant 130 Haste and invoke Xuen, The White Tiger for 8 sec. Stacks up to 33 times.
Spending Chi has a chance to make your next Spinning Crane Kick free and deal 1415 additional damage.
When Fists of Fury deals damage, it has a 5% chance to refund 1 Chi, and it deals 12 additional damage.
Tiger Palm's chance to make your next Blackout Kick free is increased to 10% and Tiger Palm deals an additional 15 damage.

Each combo point spent has an 10% chance to cause your Nightblade to deal 667 Shadow damage and replicate to a nearby enemy.

Elemental
Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning increase your Intellect by 5 per target hit for 15 sec, stacking up to 5 times.

Melee attacks with Flametongue active increase the damage the target takes from your next Lava Lash by 8, stacking up to 10 times.

Affliction
Casting Unstable Affliction on a target affected by your Unstable Affliction increases your Haste by 0 for 15 sec
Unstable Affliction deals 68 additional damage, and casting Unstable Affliction reduce the cooldown of Summon Darkglare by 3 sec.
Damaging an enemy with Agony increases the damage of your next Drain Life by 4. This effect stacks up to 50 times.
Agony deals up to an additional 54 damage and starts with 4 stacks.
Every other Soul Shard your Agony generates also increases your Intellect by 50 for 6 sec.
Refreshing Corruption, Agony, or Siphon Life with less than 5 seconds remaining will deal 692 Shadow damage and has a 6.66% chance to grant you a Soul Shard.
Demonology
Hand of Gul'dan deals 15 additional damage and has a 5% chance per Soul Shard spent of refunding a Soul Shard.
When your Implosion consumes 3 or more Imps, gain 31 Haste for 6 sec.
Your Demonic Tyrant's Demonfire deals 375 additional damage, and summoning your Demonic Tyrant instantly generates 5 Soul Shards.

For example, a Demon Hunter has specs that can Tank or DPS, but not heal. Thus the pool of Traits for this tier on Demon Hunters are from "Any Role Traits", "Tank Role Traits" and "Non-Healer Role Traits".
Azerite energy courses through you, reaching 48 primary stat and then diminishing down to 8 primary stat, cycling every 6 sec.
Increases your Mastery by 28 and your Leech by 14.
Increases your Haste by 28 and your Avoidance by 14.
Increases your Versatility by 28 and your Speed by 14.
Your damaging abilities have a chance to grant 0 critical strike rating for 5 sec. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
Your damaging abilities have a chance to deal 154 Nature damage to your target, and 15 Nature damage to enemies within 3 yards of that target.

When your Consume Magic consumes a beneficial Magic effect from the target, gain 1499 Absorb for 20 sec and shatter a Soul Fragment from the target.
Each Fury / Pain spent heals you for 10 / 25 Health.
When you resurrect an ally with Rebirth, they Absorb 1639 damage for 15 sec and gain Well Fed, increasing their Agility, Intellect, or Strength for 1 hour.
When you use Barkskin or Survival Instincts, absorb 0 damage over 8 sec.

An ability from your chosen Affinity grants an additional bonus for 10 sec:
Starsurge: 287 Leach

The Center of every piece of Azerite Armor is the last Trait that you can choose and always grants 5 item levels to the Azerite Armor.

Is there some sort of an "artifact knowledge" system in place (or planned), to speed up trait acquisition? As it stands on beta, from what I can tell, getting even tier 2 traits on gear from heroic 5ppl dungeons takes days and days of AP-farming, can't even imagine how bad will it be for stronger gear.

From what I've gathered so far it is possible to stack a single trait for a specific spec twice if you want all stacked traits to come from the highest possible ilvl gear.
Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, good you can stack a strong trait twice but bad because this gives even less incentive to pick the weaker traits.
e.g. for prot warrior I'll only be picking up 2 traits from the current pool of prot specific traits, this would be only one trait but it can't be stacked 3 times unless I wanna use 2 350 pieces and one 300 piece.
I'm bringing this up because there is a clear and large power gap between some of these traits.

As of the current beta build epic azerite gear drops form rares in Arathi Highlands and also for completing the warfront scenario. Not sure what the lockout for those is supposed to be, but the gear level is 340+ which is in heroic 5 man range if I'm not mistaken. Azerite traits unlock at 20-25 level for this level of gear.

What happens if you stack two of the same trait? Does proc chance double, or just strength of the proc double? That should be made clear in the guide.

They do stack; stacking traits appears to increase the strength of the proc, rather than the proc rate. Stacking is additive in terms of proc strength.

What does "local traits" mean? Azerite gear from that location will always have one of those or is it a chance? Only on that location you'll be able to get a piece with them?

Classes that can access trait: Priest, Druid, Monk, Shaman, and Paladin
