Siege of Boralus is a max-level dungeon located in
提拉加德海峡
. It is available to Level 120 Alliance players on Heroic, Mythic and Mythic+ difficulties only. This guide will outline strategies and important role-based responsibilities for each of the 5 bosses in Siege of Boralus, as well as some tips on particularly threatening trash mobs.
When running this dungeon in Mythic+, additional affixes will be present on the enemies in the dungeon, affecting the way they behave.
This is the only dungeon in Battle for Azeroth in which the Alliance and Horde have different versions.
The differences are mainly cosmetic, with trash & the first boss having different names, however the route towards the first boss is also slightly different.
This route has the same trash enemies for both Alliance and Horde, and as the route is pretty linear we will not be covering this minor route change in this guide.
Any large differences between the versions have been noted throughout the guide.

Siege of Boralus no longer has any attunement requirements and is available to all players.

Loot
Loot drops at ilvl 340 on Mythic.
For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains loot from the dungeon, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, all loot in Battle for Azeroth is on an ilvl spectrum. Most loot has a base ilvl and a progressively smaller chance to appear as a Warforged version, increasing in intervals of +5 ilvls. Learn more about loot in the

Dungeon loot can also be found at random on World Quests, including quests that send you into the dungeon, as well as quests to kill random elites.

For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains epic items from the dungeon's loot table, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed for the party, and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, if you successfully complete a Mythic+ dungeon within the time allotted, the Keystone that was used to start the attempt will become upgraded by at least 1 level. The faster you clear the content, the larger the upgrade, up to a maximum of 3 levels higher.
If the party upgrades the keystone by more than one level, they will also receive the corresponding number of loot chests.

Notable Trash Mobs
The water has insta-kill sharks in it!
As the group progresses towards the first boss, they will encounter 5 uniquely named trash mobs.
Whilst moving through this area, the group should avoid swimming in the water, as doing so for a prolonged period of time will instantly kill you via shark!

at the tank. This 2 sec uninterruptible cast will deal damage and knock back all players within a 10 yard cone directed at the tank.
The group should avoid standing in front of the Halberds at all times. The tank can side step out of this ability once the cast begins.

, dealing a burst of physical damage and applying a 10 second debuff which reduces haste by 35%.
This debuff can not be dipelled. The tank may become more vulnerable during this time as they are using spells at a drastically reduced rate.
DPS should aim to remove these trash mobs as a high priority due to the severity of the

Aside from dealing bursts of damage to random players via their

Avoid standing in the path of

This 2.25 sec interruptible cast will apply a magic buff to all nearby trash which reduces incoming damage by 90% for 10 seconds.
Upon expiration, the buff will explode, dealing damage and stunning nearby players for 4 seconds.
This cast should be interrupted as a high priority. If the cast goes through, the buff can be purged without triggering the explosion.

The encounter space before the first boss should be cleared of all trash before the group decides to begin the fight. This is because the group will need a lot of room to deal with the encounters mechanics.

(Alliance) are both single phase encounters in which the group must kite said boss into explosive bombs around the encounter space.
The encounters are identical aside from the names of enemies and a single ability, where

The boss will not melee the tank, instead he will constantly cast

at a random non-tank player (prioritizing ranged players).

will cause the boss to relentlessly pursue the target over 20 seconds.
The boss starts with 75% reduced movement speed. However he is likely to reach the player due to the stacking 5% movement speed buff
沸腾之怒
he gains every 2 seconds.
Upon reaching the player, he will hit them for a large burst of physical damage and knock them back via the
重击者
passive.
After the 20 seconds have ended, the boss will recast
铁之凝视
. This can be recast on to the same player.
Occasionally throughout the encounter, a

will coat the area with several impact zones which deals a burst of damage and knocks back any player hit.
Kite the boss into a bomb!
A few of these zones will leave a
重型军火
bomb behind. These bombs will explode upon contact, dealing damage and knocking back any player who ran into it.
If the boss is dragged into these zones, he will take a burst of damage, be stunned and take 50% extra damage for 6 seconds whilst also resetting his
沸腾之怒
stacks.
The player kiting the boss should attempt to drag him through as many of these
重型军火
bombs as possible.
The
重型军火
bombs will explode if they are not detonated by the boss or a player, dealing significant damage to the entire group.
The tank or a player with a large damage reduction cooldown/immunity should soak these leftover bombs if the boss isn't going to reach them in time.

for a long period of time. This is not a projectile and it cannot be avoided.
This will drag the player in towards the boss over 10 seconds, dealing ticking damage whilst silencing and pacifying the player.
The player should run against this pull in, as the boss will then cast

, dealing damage and knocking back players within 10 yards and dealing a small burst of damage to all players regardless of location.
Make sure that all players are 10 yards away from the boss before the
钢铁风暴
cast completes as to reduce the amount of damage they take.
Don't stand in the path of the

At the beginning of the encounter and throughout the fight, the group will have adds spawn. The group should focus these adds down over damaging the boss, as they do not want to become overwhelmed.

The group must now head towards the next

Large portions of the upcoming trash is also not mandatory and can be simply skipped by carefully moving past them.

. This proximity will apply the

buff, which increases all damage dealt by 125%.
The group should quickly kill the Dockhound to remove this damage increase.
These dogs will cast

on a random nearby player, dealing damage and rooting them over 10 seconds. This should be interrupted via a stun.
The packmaster will charge to a random player after casting

, dealing damage and applying a low damage 10 second dot to all players on the way.
Players should ensure that they are the only player between them and the packmaster when the
狂野冲锋
is cast.
Don't get hit by the
狂野风暴
AoE!
Players should avoid standing in front of the

s as they cast

, which deals a burst of damage to all players in a cone in front of this mob.
The tank can side step out of this ability once the cast begins.
This mob will also mark a location on the ground and teleport to it before casting a 3 second uninterruptible spell called
钢铁伏击
.
This will deal damage and stun anyone who is there for 2 seconds. Players should move out of the marked location before the shredder completes its cast.
铁潮袭击者
s will drag a randomly selected player towards them with their
铁钩
. All players should keep an eye on the area around the raider to ensure they can still dodge any spells once they arrive.
The raiders will also cast
狂野风暴
which deals a burst of arcane damage to all nearby players over 4 seconds. The group should move away from the raider during this time to avoid the damage.

s will frequently throw

s at random players, dealing damage to them and anyone within 5 yards. The group should remain spread 5 yards whilst fighting this enemy to keep incoming damage low.
The Bombers will also throw out

patches which deal a burst of damage to anyone nearby when spawning and ticking damage to anyone who stands within them.

is usually cast at ranged players locations, so ranged players should stay away from the melee team.
铁潮掠夺者
s will hit the tank with
诅咒挥砍
, dealing a burst of arcane damage and applying a curse debuff that increases all damage taken by 15% for 10 seconds. This effect can stack.
The tank should be decursed if possible. If the group doesn't have access to curse removing spells, the Marauders should be focused down before the tank receives too many stacks.

s will cast

which applies an 8 second magic buff to all nearby trash, reducing the damage they take by 75%.
This 5 sec cast cannot be interrupted. If possible, nearby trash should be kept away from the commander as much as possible.
The commander will also face the direction of a random player and begin to cast

. After a 3 sec uninterruptible cast, they will charge in that direction, dealing damage and stunning anyone in their path.
The group should move out of the way of this ability once it's cast completes. All players can dodge the
践踏
as the commander will not change direction once the cast begins.
As the group moves through the port, they will come to a section of corridor where an

& 4
铁潮火枪手
will be repeatedly burst firing.
Players who move down the corridor during the shooting will take incredibly high physical damage over a 4 second period.
There will be a short gap between each period of gunfire.
Players need to move their way through this corridor whilst hiding behind crates at either side of the corridor when the shooting begins.
You can tell if you are safe from the firing as you will gain the
掩护
debuff.
This gunfire will end when the pack is engaged in melee combat.
Players with good movement abilities may wish to run ahead and pull this pack to allow their allies to more quickly progress through this area.
The
艾什凡观察员
has the
闪避
passive, causing her to frequently leap back when engaged in melee combat. This can be prevented by either slowing or immobilising this mob.
She will also apply
瞄准火炮
to a random player. This player will proceed to mark their current location every 1.5 seconds. This mark will subsequently be hit by artillery fire, dealing damage to any friend or foe inside the circle.
The
瞄准火炮
afflicted player should place these patches away from allies making sure that they also move from their own patches before they are hit with artillery fire.
The artillery fire will deal damage to trash enemies throughout the instance, except for the
艾什凡观察员
itself. Players should place the patches on trash when it is safe to do so!

Just as the group reaches the second boss, they will need to defeat a large pack of enemies. They aren't tethered together, and can be pulled slowly if the group wants to.
In this pack the group will encounter the
艾什凡水手
which will frequently deal damage to all enemies in a cone in front of itself when it casts
腥红横扫
.
The tank should ensure that they face this away from the group. This cast is uninterruptible.
After the encounter space has been cleared of trash, the group can now safely engaged

Abilities & Strategy
恐怖船长洛克伍德
is a two phase encounter in which the group will be engaging the boss directly during phase one, and dodging cannon-fire and killing adds in phase two.
Phase One
恐怖船长洛克伍德
has the
闪避
passive. This causes her to constantly disengage away from the players fighting her in melee range, unless she is rooted or snared.
When the boss is not engaging players in melee combat, she will spam cast
一枪毙命
, dealing damage and applying an 8 sec dot to randomly selected players.
The group should aim to keep the boss rooted or snared to allow the tank and melee DPS to have reasonable up-time on the boss, whilst also reducing the amount of
一枪毙命
s she can cast.
The boss will cast
清扫甲板
aimed towards the tanks current location. After a 3 sec uninterruptible cast, she will deal damage and knock back all players who stand within her 10 yard frontal cleave.
The group should ensure they do not get hit by this cleave. The tank can also dodge this ability as the boss will not turn to face the tanks movement once the cast has begun.
When the boss reaches 100% energy, she will leap onto the nearby ship with her Withdraw cast. This begins phase two.
Phase Two
Dodge the
恐惧箭雨
!
Whilst
恐怖船长洛克伍德
is on her ship, players cannot attack her directly.
She will be bombarding the encounter space with
恐惧箭雨
bolts, which deal substantial damage to any player who stand within the swirly markers when they land.
The group needs to avoid this ability, as it's damage combined with other damage sources can be enough to quickly kill a player.
The group must defeat the three adds that spawn at the beginning of the phase, two
艾什凡水手
s and one
艾什凡炮手
.
The deckhands should be faced away from the party as they have the
腥红横扫
frontal cleave. Tanks cannot avoid this ability via movement.
The cannoneer cast
舷侧攻击
at the tanks location. At the end of the uninterruptible cast, a cannon will shoot off in that direction, dealing damage to all players in it's path.
The tank should face the cannoneer away from the group and then dodge the ability once the cast begins.
The
艾什凡炮手
will drop his
易爆军火
cannon on the ground when he dies. This cannon can be picked up by a player, granting access to an Extra Action Button.
Using this Extra Action Button will cause the boss to return to the encounter area with 0% energy. This will trigger Phase One.
Whilst holding the cannon, the player will be slowed by 45% which can make dodging abilities more difficult. Make sure to use the cannon as soon as you pick it up.
The boss will continue to cycle between phases one and two until she is killed.

Notable Trash Mobs
After defeating
恐怖船长洛克伍德
, the group should head southwest into Upton Borough.
The group will immediately encounter another
艾什凡观察员
with four
艾什凡狙击手
s as her firing squad.
The group should use the nearby crates and carts as cover as they move through the area.
Once the group reaches the crates the firing squad are hiding behind, they will withdraw from the area.
The group will then have to fight through an area being pillaged by several different Bilge Rat enemies.
Bananas will stun players who run over them!
水鼠帮海盗
s will cast
香蕉狂怒
. After a 1.5 sec uninterruptible cast, they will deal a burst of physical damage to all players within 7 yards.
It is unlikely that melee players will be able to move away before this cast completes, so the healer should be prepared to give these players extra attention.
This spell will also throw out bananas at the location of random players. Upon landing the banana deals a burst of damage to anyone nearby.
If a player runs into a banana they will slip and be stunned for 2 seconds. The group should avoid these bananas as much as possible.
水鼠帮劫掠者
s will cast
粘稠的口水
at the tank. After a 2.5 sec uninterruptible cast, the pillager will spew forth a breath in a frontal cone towards the tank, dealing damage and slowing players by 65% for 6 seconds.
The tank should face this enemy away from the group at all times. This cannot be side stepped out of by the tank, as the pillager will rotate to match the tanks movement during the cast.

s have two dangerous and uninterruptible spell casts.
恐惧咆哮
will cause all players within 10 yards to become feared for 4 seconds. This fear causes the player to run around, potentially into more trash.
碾压重击
is a 3.5 sec uninterruptible cast directed at the tanks location. At the end of the cast, the demolisher will deal a burst of damage and stun all players in a short cone in front of itself.
The tank, and any other player, should move away from the front of this mob when
碾压重击
is cast to avoid the incoming damage and stun.
水鼠帮唤风者
s are spell casters which have 3 interruptible spells.
水流喷射
deals a burst of damage to a random player after a 2.5 sec cast. This should be interrupted as a low priority.
窒息之水
applies a 6 second magic debuff to a random player which deals ticking damage and silences over its duration. This should be kicked as a high priority, or dispelled if the cast goes through.
活力之雾
will heal a nearby injured trash mob for 45% of their maximum health after a 3 sec cast. This should be kicked as the highest priority.
水鼠帮杀手
s will cast Rotting Wounds at the tank, dealing a burst of nature damage and applying a 15 second disease dot which reduces healing taken by 25%.
This cast is uninterruptible, however a well timed stun or hard crowd control spell could stop it. The disease should be removed if possible to allow the tank to receive 100% healing again.
After fighting through the Bilge Rat enemies, the group will encounter the
艾什凡观察员
and her four
艾什凡狙击手
s from earlier. This
艾什凡观察员
has the same abilities as the one previously, and should be dealt with in the same way.
The
艾什凡狙击手
s will spam
射击
at random targets, dealing a moderate burst of physical damage. This cast is unavoidable and must simply be out healed.
The snipers will also target a player with their
锯刃
cast. After the uninterruptible 2 sec cast has finished, they will deal damage to that player and anyone nearby.
When targeted by
锯刃
, the player should move away from others to prevent this damage from spreading.
After defeating this firing squad, the group will enter the area in which the next boss resides: Unity Square.
The group should clear all trash in the area before engaging the boss who is patrolling around the area.
艾什凡指挥官
s will be found in this area and should be dealt with in the same way as earlier in the instance.

s will cast

which buffs their melee attacks, causing them to apply a stacking nature damage poison dot on the tank.
This cast is uninterruptible and the buff they gain cannot be removed. The tank should be prepared to take a large amount of nature damage during this time if a poison dispel is not available.
艾什凡破坏者
s will apply a 65% haste increasing Enrage buff on themselves via their
狂野
cast.
This 3 second cast is uninterruptible. The enrage should be soothed off or players can use crowd control spells or stuns to interrupt the cast.

Abilities & Strategy
哈达尔·黑渊
is a simple single phase encounter in which the group must carefully bait spells into ideal locations as to safely dodge tidal waves that crash across the encounter space.
Don't let the boss fire the
毁灭之潮
across the room!
The tank should keep the boss at the side of the room and face him into the wall for Hadal's
毁灭之潮
cast.
After a 2.8 sec uninterruptible cast directed at the tank, the boss will spew a line of frost which deals damage to anyone hit.
This also leaves several
盐水池
patches on the ground which deal high ticking damage to anyone who stands within them.
By facing the boss into the wall, the
盐水池
patches will either spawn at the edge of the room or out of bounds, leaving the rest of the encounter space free for players to move around.
激流破奔
is a 1 sec uninterruptible cast which will mark the location underneath each player. These locations will explode after 1 second, dealing damage and knocking back any players still stood within them.
The zones will also leave behind
盐水池
patches. The group not stand near the statue in the middle of the room when
激流破奔
is due to be cast, as this area will be needed to dodge the
海潮涌动
.
When
哈达尔·黑渊
reaches 100% energy, he will cast
海潮涌动
spawning a large wave that covers an entire side of the encounter area .
This wave will then crash across the encounter space, dealing heavy frost damage to all players caught in its path and clearing away and
盐水池
patches.
Players need to quickly identify where this wave is so that they can move to place the statue between themselves and the wave.
The middle section of the wave will despawn as it hits the statue, allowing the rest of the wave to harmlessly pass the players hidden behind it.
The initial spawn location of the wave is randomly selected.

After defeating
哈达尔·黑渊
, the portcullis to the southeast will rise and grant access to the path towards the last boss.
As players travel down this path, several swirly circles will appear on the ground. Bolts will land in these areas, dealing a burst of frost damage to anyone hit.
The group should mount up and travel down this path whilst dodging the bolts. Once the beach has been reached the bolts will stop firing.

Abilities & Strategy
维克戈斯
is a single phase encounter in which the group needs to use three cannons to deal significant damage to the boss.
Although players can damage the boss directly, it is unnecessary as using the three cannons will alone deal enough damage to defeat the boss.
Avoid the
猛击
shockwave cast!
This encounter takes place across three areas that are positioned around the water that houses boss.
Players need to dodge the bosses abilities whilst defeating two enemies in the area. This will allow them to use the cannon.
After using the cannon the group should move to the next platform and repeat this process.
Players should avoid going into the water at any time, as swimming within the water for too long will cause the player to be rooted and take ticking damage for 30 seconds via the Crushing Embrace.
The tank does not need to tank the boss at any point during the fight.
攻城恐魔
s need to be tanked at all times, as otherwise they will spam cast
甲板破碎者
, dealing heavy damage to the entire group.
Whilst tanking this tentacle, watch out for the
猛击
cast, as this will deal damage and knock back all enemies in a frontal cone.
DPS players should aim to kill the
甲板破碎者
before switching to the
攫握恐魔
.
The group should ensure that no
攻城恐魔
s are active on the area they are leaving when moving to a new space.
The
攫握恐魔
does not attack the group. Instead it holds a
库尔提拉斯工程师
in its grasp. Killing this tentacle will allow the engineer to fix the nearby cannon.
As soon as the cannon is fixed, a non-tank player should right click on it and then use the Blast ability. This will deal damage equal to 33% of the bosses maximum health. This cast doesn't need to be aimed.
The boss will destroy the cannon with
灭杀
after the first shot has been fired. The player mounting the cannon should leave and move 10 yards away from the cannon as to not take a large burst of damage.
Kill the
攫握恐魔
to release the
库尔提拉斯工程师
from its grasp!
Go inside the cannon and Blast the boss for 33% of its maximum health!
Move away from the cannon after its been used once!
Focus damage onto the last
攫握恐魔
!
Whilst the group is fighting the tentacles, the boss will use two different abilities to damage the group.
腐败之水
will be applied to a random player. This 30 second magic debuff will deal ticking damage every 5 seconds for 30 seconds.
If this is dispelled, the player will deal damage and knock back nearby allies.
The healer either needs to out-heal this debuff or dispel it when the player is far away from their allies, as the knockback can easily fire players into the dangerous waters.

will spew out multiple bolts that will land across the platform when he casts

.
The landing locations of these bolts are marked with blue swirly circles.
Players simply need to move away from these areas to ensure they do not take a large burst of frost damage.
A few extra tips to help you through this encounter:
When moving to a new area, leave one mobile player behind to fire the cannon, while the rest of the party moves ahead.
There are bridges and debris floating in the water that will allow you to move from one area to another without touching the water.
Make sure you move as a group when moving to a new area, otherwise the healer may not be in range of all players at once.
On the last area, the DPS should focus down the
攫握恐魔
tentacle whilst the tank engages the
攻城恐魔
alone. As soon as the last cannon is fired the encounter is complete.

This should say that the bilge rat demolishers fear they cast can also be line of sighted. Much easier to tank near a corner and hide when cast then to out range it.

Viq'goth is a nightmare as Survival hunter because pet pathing issues galore. The boss will smack your pet to death even if it's nowhere near the boss and hasn't attacked it. The third (ship) platform tentacles are located off the edge of the ship's deck, so the pet cannot Kill Command whatsoever (can't find path) meaning Survival's rotation falls apart.

Ok so I just got into a Seige dungeon the other players flew in the dungeon past the trash I tried and got kicked for not being able to fly I do have my battle for azeroth flight so how the heck do you get it in the dungeon
