On the pet list, to the right of every pet, you will see breeds listed. Some pets can be many breeds, and some can only be a few or one breed. Breeds can play an integral part of all pet battles, and can be the difference between a win or loss. Breeds represent your pets power, speed and health values.
To get breeds to show, please download
Battle Pet BreedID
S = Speed
H = Health
P = Power
B = Balanced
There are two letters in every breed type. The first letter is the more prevalent breed, and the second is the lesser. Sometimes, it can be the same letter.
S/S - This pet is very fast, and almost always attacks first
P/P - This pet is very powerful, and has very strong attacks
H/H - This pet is very tanky, and has more health than other breeds
B/B - This pet has a strong equal balance of stats
In other cases, pets can have different stat combinations.
P/S - This pet is strong in both power, and speed
H/P - This pet has more health than usual, and more power than usual
S/B - This pet has more speed than usual, but also a good balance of stats
Rematch has many extremely useful filtering options that are not included in the default UI. To access them, click the 'Filter' option above the pet list. You can select multiple filters at once, allowing you to refine your search as much as you'd like. You can also apply filters and use the search bar at the same time.
Perhaps I'm doing
. I am versing Undead type pets. I need a Critter type, with high sustainability. I would search with the filters:
Pet Family: Critter
Strong Vs: Undead
Search Bar: Nature's Ward
This would give me a result of six different pets to use.
Rematch has other useful filters, such as sorting by specific levels, rarity, or filtering to only see pets you have more than one copy of, which is useful for selling pets.
Creating, Importing and Exporting Teams
To create a team, simply put any three pets in the active pet slots. If it is a new team, you can select 'Save As' in the bottom right corner, or if you are overriding an already existing team, you can select 'Save'. Rematch will remember all move sets, and pet order.
Teams can be organized and added to 'Tabs'. Tabs are organized groups of teams. For example, if I were doing the
, I may want to create a selection of teams for each boss fight, so I could use the same teams when i come back next week. I can create a tab, and save all my teams in that tab, without diluting all my other teams lists.
You can also randomize pet slots and designate level slots. This can be done by right clicking a current pet team interface slot and selecting 'Put Random Pet Here'. The option for a level slot is above it.
When creating teams, you can also assign a team to a 'Target'. This team will load when you select that target. You can do this by selecting the 'Save' button when targeting your desired target (above the current pet interface), or from the 'Save' and 'Save As' buttons in the bottom right corner. Targets can also be manually selected from a premade list.
There is also an option to 'Set Notes'. This provides a small text window, where you can write anything you want. You may want to add move orders, or notes for you to remember what to do. This can be done by right clicking a team in the tab and selecting 'Set Notes'.
You can import teams from other users or third party websites with a string of identifying code. This can copy the team name, pets, abilities, and notes. Many guides include full strings for Rematch teams.
To do this, open your Teams tab, select 'Teams' in the upper right corner, and select 'Import Teams'. Then, copy the unique code and paste it into the text box. You can select what tab for it to go to, or make changes if you'd like. You can always overwrite this saved team.
Like importing, you can export and share your teams to other users or third party websites. To do this, you can right click a team and select 'Share' and then 'Export Team'. There are also options under this menu to copy the team in plain text, rather than a code. You can also directly send the team to another Rematch user, with some limitations.
You can also export whole tabs. This makes it easy to mass share teams for achievements, such as
The Queue and Leveling
The Queue is a feature of Rematch that is accessed from the lower left corner tabs. The Queue is used to organize and queue up pets to level. Pets can be added to this list, and you can further filter the queue to sort by different options, such as ascending or descending level, median level, favourites first, or rares first.
You can automatically fill the queue, or you can manually add pets to the queue. To automatically fill your queue, click the 'Queue' box above the queue, and select 'Fill Queue' or 'Fill Queue More'. To manually add pets to the queue, they can be added by either by right clicking that pet on the interface and selecting 'Add to Queue', or by clicking and dragging the pet from the interface, to the queue.
Once a pet reaches level 25, the pet will leave the queue, and the next pet will be automatically sent to the front of the queue.
Furthermore, you can automatically add pets from your leveling queue to your teams. To do this, right click the slot on the current pet team interface, and select 'Put Leveling Pet Here'. From now on, that slot will be saved to level pets. You can remove it at any time. You can also save a team with a leveling slot in it, and it will keep it.
Rematch has an option to view detailed statistics on your collection. There are options in the drop down menu to filter your statistics further. To access the collection statistics, simply click your the 'Total and Unique Pets' box in the upper left corner of Rematch.

I tried every option in rematch to get the breed shown but can't find it anywhere. It doesn't show on the pet list, neither on the loaded pets. Can anyone explain to me how to get the breed shown?
Is there any way to basically export your leveling queue? I have 2 computers (one at work) and I want to export the work leveling queue to my pc at home, would just simply copying the addon folder do the trick?
Is there any way to stop auto-summoning a pet to follow you around in the world? I don't like to have a companion pet following me everywhere, I assume it's part of this addon, as it never happened before I installed it. Now whenever I change pet teams, I seem to have one of them following me around everywhere. (not a big deal btw.)
This is a nice add-on... if it worked reliably. I find that it often loads the wrong team, the wrong set of notes, or both. It gets very frustrating. I could turn off autoload but then what's the point of automating this if I have to go in and select things manually anyway? I'd say it functions correctly maybe about 75% of the time.
Is anyone else having problems leaving the Deadmines Depth Pet Dungeon? I have tried several different toons but each time winning the final battle (and everything before), I am stuck wandering around talking to NPC who are decidedly unhelpful. Blizz has acknowledged this is an issue including the bug that Manapoof won't have the Deadmines dungeon listed in his available dungeons that he can teleport you to). This dungeon is difficult enough without this nonsense.
Anybody have any idea how to delete or update saved teams?
This is the add'on I've been dreaming of! How have I missed this after playing Battle Pets for so many years? Beautifully flexible, simple, yet powerful, absolutely a dream to use. Thank you so much!
Since two or three days weird things started to heppened. Every SINGLE time I am logging of and then logging in I am LOOSING ALL recently added teams (so every single time I am adding a new team right now, I need to do back up straight away, and load teams from backup which is sooooo annoying that I have no words ;((( ). Even more annoying is, that I can’t import my all tabs at once in separate tabs, all teams goes to ONE tab (so you have to import each and everyone separately) which does NOT make ANY sense :((((. Is there ANY way to fix/bypass this bug ?
Thanks in advance for quick answer
PS. My wins are not saved anymore as well (and those, who were there already had just disappeared so I have NO IDEA how many battles I won and how many I lost and with which team :(
Does anyone know how to stop the box popping up every time I start a battle with all level 25 pets in the team. It's an alert that advises there are no upgrades and asks do I want to quit, with 'Yes' or 'No' boxes to select.
I've checked in the 'Options' but I can't see anything that relates to this alert.
Can you delete pet battle slots so its empty?
