This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the
拆解者米斯拉克斯
encounter on Normal Difficulty in Uldir. Changes to the fight for the other difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties.
The
拆解者米斯拉克斯
encounter consists of two phases. Phase one has the raid engaging Mythrax directly, whilst phase two, which triggers every 33% health lost, has the raid engaging various adds whilst Mythrax is nearly immune to damage.
拆解者米斯拉克斯
is the seventh boss in Uldir, the first raid in Battle for Azeroth. After defeating
拆解者米斯拉克斯
, players can progress towards the
戈霍恩
encounter.

Mythic Difficulty
Aside from numerical changes, in which the boss deals more damage and has more health, there are a multiple mechanical changes to the Mythrax encounter on Mythic difficulty.
Composition Recommendations
Although there is no set raid composition required for this encounter, we have several suggestions regarding raid composition that can make this encounter easier to progress.
Knockbacks/Grips
The quicker and cleaner players can be removed from
湮灭之球
s, the better.
Death Knights are exceptionally good for this job, as a
死亡之握
nearly guarantees that the charmed player will be released as soon as the group wants to do it.
Druids with
台风
are another good tool to have available, especially for players who happen to be far from the boss when targeted by the
湮灭之球
.
Holy/Disc priests can do a similar job with
闪光力场
, however the positioning requirement for this is more difficult and ideally the healers can focus purely on healing, rather than freeing players.
There is no maximum when it comes to the amount of
湮灭之球
countering abilities, but we recommend bringing at least one Death Knight and 3 other knockback/grip style abilities.
Long Range Interrupts
During phase two, one of the
恩拉其毁灭者
adds will be far away from the raid with only a single tank. This tank will only be able to cover
every other
虚空齐射
cast.
Warlocks with the Felhunter pet can position it to interrupt the far away
恩拉其毁灭者
, whilst they themselves are on the other side of the room.
This allows the group to maintain the strict positioning required for the phase, whilst also being able to cover all of the
虚空齐射
casts.
To cover all
虚空齐射
cast will require two Warlocks, both of which need to use the Felhunter pet.
This is by no means a mandatory requirement for the fight, but it will significantly reduce incoming raid damage throughout phase two.
Less Melee DPS
Although there is no reasonable hard maximum amount of melee players that can be brought to this fight, we recommend that you consider limiting the number of melee players that you bring at 4 or 5.
This is due to the
湮灭之球
which will spawn whilst the melee are all gathered around the new add:
夏尔扎克斯
during phase two, potentially charming multiple melee players at once.
It is possible to sufficiently spread more than 4/5 melee around
夏尔扎克斯
, however this is difficult to do in practice and will likely cause the raid to have multiple issues during progression.
If damage on
夏尔扎克斯
is high enough, you could potentially tell your 5th/6th melee player to ignore the add and instead nuke the boss, but you will then run the risk of the add remaining active for too long which can cause a wipe.
Phase One
This phase largely relies on solid raid positioning and player awareness regarding the abilities the boss frequently casts.

The raid should spread themselves evenly around the encounter space, whilst the boss is positioned in the middle of the room.
This allows the raid to take much less damage from the
毁灭迫近
on average, as the afflicted targets are likely to be spread far further apart.
This also reduces the chance of certain areas of the room becoming overwhelmed by
湮灭之球
s, which would otherwise limit player movement significantly.
This also ensures that all ranged DPS will be able to attack the new mythic add:
夏尔扎克斯
, as well as ensuring that this add will always spawn in a favourable position.
Players should be assigned areas of the room to stand in, usually by making 6 different small groups that spread in a certain area of the space.
When deciding "who goes where" you should keep the following things in mind:
Each area of the room should have a healer assigned to it, aside from the area the tanks are assigned to.
Each area should have a nearby player who can remove players from the
湮灭之球
, such as a Death Knight, Healing Priest or Druid.
Melee players should be assigned in such a way that spreads them out the most.
Mobile Healers and DPS should be assigned to the northern most section, as for some unexplained reason: players in this area are vastly more likely to be afflicted with
毁灭迫近
than those in the more southern areas of the encounter space.

During phase one, Mythrax gains access to the
活体兵器
ability.
A purple swirly circle indicates the spawn location of
夏尔扎克斯
.
On a timer, Mythrax will throw
夏尔扎克斯
to the location of a random non-tank player. This also cannot target players afflicted with
毁灭迫近
.
All valid
活体兵器
targets should move into the boss as to spawn the
夏尔扎克斯
in melee range, allowing all DPS to maintain range on the add whilst holding their standard positioning.
The area where the
夏尔扎克斯
will spawn is marked with a large purple swirly circle. Moments later,
夏尔扎克斯
will appear at this location and deal a burst of damage to all players within 8 yards.
As soon as the area has appeared, all players should move away from the landing location, with ranged players moving back to their standard phase one position.
An
湮灭之球
will always spawn a few seconds before the
活体兵器
ability is cast.
The raid needs to continue to spread to avoid double charms. Once the sphere has appeared, all players should instantly move underneath the boss to bait the add spawn.
Once
夏尔扎克斯
has landed, it will become active and players must damage it down to 50% health, at which point it will retreat and regain health back to 100%.
Note: Any damage over time debuffs will remain on
夏尔扎克斯
when it retreats and will continue to deal damage for the remaining duration. Players can take advantage of this to gain better boss damage, as well as to reduce the health in which
夏尔扎克斯
returns with next time
活体兵器
is cast.
Whilst active,
夏尔扎克斯
will cast
虚空回响
approximately every 10 seconds.
This uninterruptible cast deals a burst of damage to the entire raid whilst also buffing the damage of subsequent
虚空回响
by 50%. This effect stacks.
The group needs to nuke down
夏尔扎克斯
before it has the chance to cast the third
虚空回响
, as this damage will likely overwhelm the raid.
DPS may need to save cooldowns to ensure that damage required is available.
Dodge the
湮灭冲击
coming from
夏尔扎克斯
!
夏尔扎克斯
will also cast
湮灭冲击
in between the
虚空回响
casts. This acts identically to Mythrax's
湮灭冲击
.
The raid needs to quickly move out of the way of this blast to ensure they do not take the damage and receive any
毁灭
stacks.
Melee DPS should be spread evenly around
夏尔扎克斯
to ensure that they do not have multiple players hit by a
湮灭之球
.
After dodging the
湮灭冲击
, they should return to their standard add positioning to maintain this formation.
The raid should only need to deal with two
活体兵器
casts per phase, as the boss should transition before casting the third.
If the third
活体兵器
cast does occur, the raid should ignore it and transition the boss, as
夏尔扎克斯
will retreat automatically upon phase two being reached.
The
湮灭之球
,
毁灭迫近
,
湮灭冲击
and
精华撕裂
all work the same way as their heroic counterparts.
The higher damage they deal requires players to be slightly more cautious when dealing with the abilities, notably the
湮灭之球
&
毁灭迫近
.
Players afflicted with the
毁灭迫近
should move away from their allies, towards the edges of the encounter space.
A minimum of 15 yards should be generated between all players and the
毁灭迫近
debuffs.
The afflicted players need to be aware of their healers position and be careful not to move out of healing range of them.
Players should generally avoid exaggerated movement when afflicted with the
毁灭迫近
, as it will likely cause them to deal significantly less output which can prolong the phase unnecessarily.
Aside from being spread for the
湮灭之球
each time it comes in to prevent double charms, the raid needs to be very careful when breaking people out of the sphere due to the
粉碎湮灭
damage.
The
粉碎湮灭
damage, in combination with a
虚空回响
cast or
毁灭迫近
explosion, can cause player death quite easily.
A single player (generally a healer) should constantly communicate when it is safe to remove a player from a sphere.
This player needs to be aware that they cannot delay a removal for too long, otherwise you will likely fall behind as more
湮灭之球
s spawn.
As long as the raid is topped, and no other damage is coming in within 2 or 3 seconds, the charmed player is likely safe to be freed.
In a situation where two players are accidentally caught within a single
湮灭之球
, the raid may need to use personal cooldowns to counteract the high incoming damage when they are each removed.
Both
湮灭光束
and
湮灭冲击
will remove any
存续碎片
s they come into contact with.
There is no "grand strategy" that is used to counteract this new mythic mechanic. Instead tanks should be aware that they will likely have fewer
存续碎片
s available to drop their stacks whilst the other tank has the boss.
Phase Two
The boss will transition into phase two at 66% and 33%.
Mythrax travels to the northern point in the room and begins to cast
夏尔扎克斯的觉醒
.
Players should use this time to spread around the middle of the encounter area, ready for the one
湮灭之球
which spawns half-way through the cast.
This player should be freed as soon as possible, assuming the raid is healthy enough to survive the
粉碎湮灭
damage.
Once the cast completes players should quickly collect a few nearby
存续碎片
s before moving to the North-East corner of the room to begin the movement needed for the rest of the phase.
During phase two, Mythrax will channel his
湮灭光束
towards
夏尔扎克斯
who is positioned in the southern parts of the encounter space.
夏尔扎克斯
will cast its own beam towards a random non-tank player's location. This location will not change once
夏尔扎克斯
has begun the cast.
To counter this, the entire raid should stack up on a single location in the North-East side of the encounter space (see pic).
This position will always be out of the way of the
湮灭光束
Mythrax channels towards
夏尔扎克斯
.
As soon as
夏尔扎克斯
begins its
湮灭光束
cast, the raid moves as a single unit to another specific point within the same area of the encounter space.
The group will then remain at this location until the next
湮灭光束
cast, at which point they simply move back.
The raid will need to move a total of four times throughout each phase two.
The raid must ensure that nobody moves before the cast begins, as this could bait the beam into the path the raid is moving along.
During this time, the two
恩拉其毁灭者
s must be kept at least 60 yards apart for the
临界炽焰
to not trigger (up from 40).
A single tank with good self healing (such as a death knight) should pick up the West-spawning destroyer and keep it there until the eastern destroyer has been defeated.
The eastern destroyer should be defeated before the third
湮灭光束
cast. DPS may need to save cooldowns to achieve this.
Both
恩拉其毁灭者
s should have their
虚空齐射
casts interrupted, as the damage of one of the volleys can chunk everybody to half health.
This can be simply achieved with an interrupt rotation for the close destroyer, and with two warlock pets for the far destroyer. (see composition suggestion section)
Any additional unassigned interrupts can be used on the
疯狂幻象
精神鞭笞
casts.
The timing in which the
恩拉其毁灭者
casts
精华撕裂
is determined by how quickly
虚空齐射
casts are interrupted.
To keep things consistent, the
虚空齐射
s should be kicked as soon as possible each time they are cast.
Tanks struggling with
毁灭
stacks may want to opt to have a player taunt the Destroyer for the
精华撕裂
cast, as this will remove a large source of
毁灭
stacks on the tank.
This taunting player will need a large cooldown to survive the hit. An example of a good candidate for this is a Warrior with Die by the Sword.
The raid should always stack at northern marker the beginning of the phase, as the southern marker is placed on top of some rocks.
Players who spawn the
疯狂幻象
adds whilst standing on top of these rocks will cause them to spawn directly on top of the rocks, rather than spread out randomly within 20-25 yards.
If the entire raid (aside from the tank) stands on these rocks they will spawn all five adds in a stacked fashion, allowing DPS to easily cleave them down.
The
疯狂幻象
adds always spawn after the first and third
湮灭光束
, meaning that this rock positioning can always be achieved.

As the phase reaches it's conclusion, the raid must ensure that both the
恩拉其毁灭者
and
疯狂幻象
adds are defeated.
The raid will then need to go through phase one again. Phase one is identical each time, with very little differences in terms of timers or strategy.
Healers need to note that players are likely to have moderate
毁灭
stacks during the second phase one (around 10 stacks on average) and high stacks during the third phase one (around 20 stacks on average).
As a result of this lowered health pool, the
湮灭之球
afflicted players may need to be freed in a more careful manner.
Bloodlust Timing
The raid should use Bloodlust upon entering the third and final phase one.
We recommend that it is used just as the first
活体兵器
is cast, as to remove this add as soon as possible.
It is likely that the groups damage will be high enough to ignore the second
活体兵器
all together, instead deciding to nuke down Mythrax instead.
