Individual Class Strengths
Death Knights trade personal mobility for ranged attacks and the ability to reposition their targets.
Has a Battle Resurrection.
Innate slow, root, and stun abilities.
Can grip opponents to their location.
Powerful anti-magic defensive cooldown.
Demon Hunters are very mobile, can Purge enemy debuffs and have strong crowd control abilities.
Has one of the few AoE stuns.
Havoc has a defensive group cooldown.
Vengeance can pull opponents to their location.
Debuffs opponents to increase the effectiveness of magical damage.
Druids are very versatile due to numerous utility spells, crowd control, and the ability to perform outside their specialization role.
Has a Battle Resurrection.
Numerous crowd control effects.
Balance has one of the only AoE silence abilities.
Restoration provides a group-wide healing cooldown.
Balance and Restoration provide a healer mana cooldown.
Guardian and Feral provide a group-wide mobility cooldown.
Can off-tank, dps, or heal for a short time, amplified by talents.
Hunters have large amount of personal utility, although the strongest group benefits are restricted to the Beast Mastery specialization.
Able to stealth to avoid enemies.
Can instantly drop threat or combat entirely.
Able to redirect enemy threat to other players or their pet.
Has a pet which is capable of tanking most content for a time.
Pets also provide a variety of specialized bonuses to choose from.

Mages have some of the best crowd control abilities, are able to buff other spellcasters, and provide the powerful group-wide buff cooldown Time Warp.
Can conjure food and drink for allies.
Creates portals to teleport allies to major cities.
Provides an Intellect buff for friendly spellcasters.
Can steal enemy magical buffs to improve themselves.
Numerous crowd control tools including incapacitates, interrupts, knockbacks, roots, and snares.
Strong personal defensive abilities include blinking through hostile spell effects, turning invisible, becoming immune to all incoming damage, and even surviving fatal damage.
Monks provide a lot of group utility, player buffs, enemy debuffs, and strong personal mobility.
Has one of the few AoE stuns.
Can place a marker and teleport to it on demand.
Can increase the movement speed of nearby allies.
Debuffs opponents to increase their physical damage taken.
Specialization specific skills include AoE disorients, slows, taunt, and external cooldowns.
Can create a zone of area denial, knocking back enemies in order to keep them in or out of a location.
Paladins have some of most powerful and flexible utility abilities including player buffs, debuff removal, emergency heals, and immunities.
Can also incapacitate, slow, and stun enemies.
Can immunity tank for a short time, albeit on a long cooldown.
Able to remove poisons, slows, and buff their allies or own mana regeneration.
Has numerous damage aborption, healing, and immunity abilities for maximum survivability.
Priests have strong crowd control, excellent external cooldown abilities, and can even heal themselves or others by dealing damage.
Group-wide buff increases the health of allies.
Able to instantly pull allies to their location and out of harm's way.
Can disorient, fear, knockback, slow, stun, and mind control enemies.
Various external cooldowns increasing healing, reduce damage, protect against death.
Rogues have a wide variety of personal utility, tools for locking down enemy targets, and the ability to stealth both themselves and their group in order to bypass enemies undetected.
Able to redirect enemy threat to other players.
Has numerous crowd control abilities including the disorient, incapacitate, snare, and stun.
Can re-enter Stealth in combat in order to use specialized abilities or escape dangerous situations.
Has powerful personal defensive abilities to reduce damage taken, immune incoming attacks, remove or ignore harmful enemy spells, and survive fatal damage.
Shamans have a good deal of group utility, but their strongest benefit is the ability to buff allies with the powerful cooldown Bloodlust/Heroism.
Able to Purge enemy buffs.
Has one of the few AoE stuns.
Can self resurrect, on a long cooldown.
Able to summon a pet which can tank for a short time.
Can remove Fear, Charm, and Sleep effects from allies.
Talents can shield allies, increase their movement speed, or transfer damage into healing.
Warlocks have a large assortment of crowd control abilities to lock down enemy targets, strong personal survivability, and can summon specialized pets.
Has one of the few AoE stuns.
Able to create health stones for allies to heal with.
Pets can Disorient, Interrupt, Stun, and Taunt enemy targets.
Can fear, enslave, and banish various enemies depending on type.
Has a unique Battle Resurrection which can be used preemptively or reactively.
Can teleport themselves or create a portal that allows allies to teleport from one point to another.
Have strong personal mobility, useful group-wide buffs, minor crowd control, and low cooldown stuns.
Can AoE disorient and slow enemy targets.
Has a powerful group-wide temporary health buff cooldown.
Increases allied melee and Huner damage with a group-wide attack power buff.
DPS can off-tank for a short time with damage immunity or powerful self-healing.
Protection has one of the few AoE stuns while Arms and Fury can use single target stuns.
Combat Enhancements
Some classes provide group-wide enhancement buffs, or inflict debuffs on their enemies which benefit the entire group or raid. These effects promote group synergy by enhancing the combat effectiveness of various specializations.
Buffs are group-wide benefits which everyone benefits from passively once applied.

External Cooldowns
While similar to personal cooldowns, many specializations bring targeted abilities which can benefit themselves or allies, as well as group-wide cooldowns which affect everyone.
Immunity
Few specializations have the ability to become completely immune to damage, but it is one of the most powerful combat advantages, with a variety of uses including off-tanking, giving a player time to heal or escape combat, and trivializing boss encounter mechanics. Similarly, some specializations have cheat death mechanics which cause them to survive otherwise fatal damage.

Personal Cooldowns
Personal Cooldowns affect only the player, but are no less impactful than those which are group-wide or targeted on others. Many effects can be instrumental in dealing with or surviving deadly mechanics.

Crowd Control
There are many different types of debilitating debuffs, all centered around impairing the targets ability to act or move in one way or another. One important distinction is their diminishing returns - repeated use of any one type of effect on the same target will have a reduced or even no effect after a time.
Incapacitating effects cause complete loss of control on the target, removing their ability to act or move. Their use varies wildly in terms of duration, cooldown, combat status, and target type, but they are nearly all removed upon taking damage, excepting Mind Control and Banish effects.

I also think it's worth noting the special pet abilities that provide Hunters additional utility in the last section too. While you link to the guide earlier on, it shouldn't be discounted in the "Miscellaneous Utility" section that Hunters provide mortal strike, additional slows, dispels and tranquilize to the group.

The Interrupts/Silences are really messed up.
Shadow Priest: Silence should be listed as both an Interrupt AND Silence (I mean it's literally named "Silence" but not in the Silence tab?)
Balance Druid: Solar Beam should be in the same boat as ^Silence^: Interrupt AND Silence.
Protection Paladin: Avenger's Shield is in the same boat as the above 2 abilities.
Arcane Mage: Supernova is NOT a Silence by any means. If you include Supernova, you must also include any/all other knockback effects, which is silly to even consider, as it's more of a pseudo-interrupt and not a silence.

Judgement of Light is also available to Protection pallies. I think it's just Ret that doesn't have it.
Avenger's shield is a 3 second silence, as well as an interrupt.
Tol Dagor features skips and buffs (10% INT, 10% STR/AGI, 10% STA, and the effects of Greater Blessing of Wisdom) available through lockpicking, either from a rogue or a blacksmith or inscriptionist.

This is a very weird picks of class strengths. From one side you say as purging enemy buffs are about mage and shaman, but you completely ignore that druid and hunter have dispells too (of enrage), and you ignore priest's mass dispell.
From one side you say paladins and shamands cool since they can dispell poisson, but you completely ignore that mages and druids can do this too. + other things people already mentioned here.
Can you explain why paladin deserves mention of dispell and druid not? Spells with same effects...
p.s. One other thing - paladin's immunity for tank is smth you should remove. If it's used on tank - he loses all agro and dps+healer die druing these 8sec => wipe. And who to blame? Yes, paladin. And kick him if possible for not knowing own skills. And you right now write to use it on tanks? It can be used only on dps who pulled aggro orand to save him from some fixated mobs.

Thanks for this very useful guide. Here are a few mistakes I noticed:
- All Warriors can use Rallying Cry, not only Protection.
- In the interrupts section, when you mention the trick to have a 2-target interrupt on Warlocks, you mention the Imp instead of the Felhunter.

You have a note that "all healers can dispel ," but in fact not all healers can dispel these effects. Priests can dispel disease; paladins, monks, and druids can dispel poison and disease; and shamans can dispel curses. All healers can dispel magic effects, but curse/disease/poison is still regimented based on class.
The off-specs of these classes cannot dispel magic effects, but can dispel curse, poison, and/or disease effects based on their class.

Pretty sure Aspect of the Turtle is not an immunity. It deflects ONLY attacks (which is a physical hit), any spells cast at the hunter still damage them. Otherwise the 2nd part of Turtle wouldn't make sense. If you're already immune, why the need for damage reduction, cos no damage is coming through.

icebound fortitude isn't a frost dk skill, pretty sure it's baseline (blood has it too anyway)
and not sure why you consider the judgment heal to be an external cooldown; it's miscellaneous utility, if you even want to mention a small hot-like heal
prot pala can spec into rotational offhealing though (which is actually useful now that blizzard fixed their nonsense :p)

For hunters: there's 6 pet families which lets any hunter spec purge/sooth, and only 2 others that are BM only
(bats/netherrays are best, since they purge and have primal rage; spirit beast has a small offheal instead)
