The Mythic+ Dungeon system is a new mode of content that offers players an endlessly scaling challenge in 5-player dungeons. The system allows players to compete against a timer, similar to Challenge Modes, but has much more lenient times so that the emphasis is on solid execution rather than pure speed.
Mythic+ Overview
Completing a Mythic+ dungeon rewards epic gear at a higher base ilvl than any other source besides raiding
Mythic+ dungeons have
levels
; a level 3 dungeon will be more difficult than a level 2, but less difficult than a level 5
Enemies in the dungeons deal more damage and have higher health pools with each level your party conquers
A higher-level Mythic+ dungeon rewards higher-ilvl loot
At certain levels, the dungeon gains an "affix" that changes the way enemies will act, adding additional complexity to the content
Each week, players will receive possible choices of Mythic+ gear in the Great Vault based on their performance in the previous week's Mythic+ dungeon lockout
Only 4 of the Dragonflight dungeons are available on Mythic+ for Season 2, plus four dungeons from previous expansions.
Beginning a Mythic+ Dungeon
In order to begin a Mythic+ dungeon, at least one player in the party must have a
Mythic Keystone
, which is available from the last boss of a Mythic 0 dungeon, or your Weekly Challenger's Chest.
Set the dungeon difficulty to Mythic before entering the dungeon
A Font of Power object will be present
The player with the Keystone must click on the Font of Power to open the Mythic+ UI
Drag the Keystone from your bags into the socket in the center of the UI window
Wait a few moments for the UI to update with the Keystone level and additional information about the dungeon
Click the red "Activate" button at the bottom of the window
This will force all players into a loading screen, place a ghostly wall in front of the party, and begin a 10-second countdown timer. When this reaches 0, the wall is removed and the Mythic+ timer will begin.
Completing a Mythic+ Dungeon
In a Mythic+ Dungeon, the player's goal is to defeat all of the bosses in the dungeon, as well as a set amount of trash, before the Mythic+ timer expires.
When the Dungeon is complete, you will receive a chest containing loot at the end of the dungeon and the
Mythic Keystone
will be updated:
Beating the timer
rewards the person who used their Keystone with a new, higher-level Keystone of a different dungeon and 2 pieces of loot at an appropriate ilvl.
If you miss the timer but complete the dungeon
, one piece of loot at the correct item level, and one piece of loot one item level tier lower. The
Mythic Keystone
will point to a
different dungeon
that is one level lower than the one you just used.
If you do not complete the dungeon
, you will have a Keystone that is one level lower for the
same
dungeon and receive no loot.
A UI toast window will pop up when you complete the dungeon, displaying whether you beat the timer or not. This window also shows how many levels the Keystone is upgraded by if you successfully beat the timer and how much Mythic+ Rating that run was worth. Mythic+ Lockouts
The Mythic+ dungeon system has no lockouts.
You can complete as many Mythic+ dungeons as you want, as long as at least one player in your party has a Mythic Keystone.
All completed Mythic+ dungeon runs will award loot depending on the level of the dungeon and whether or not you beat the timer.
Even if you've already done the exact same dungeon or level (or both!), you can still receive loot
Mythic+ dungeons do not share a lockout with "regular" Mythic dungeons - they are separate systems. You can do all of your Mythic dungeons for the week and still receive loot from Mythic+ dungeons, and vice versa.
Combat Resurrections
In Mythic+ Dungeons, Combat Resurrections are a shared resource across the entire party.
Each player's combat resurrection ability is now on the same cooldown timer and has the same number of charges similar to raids.
Charges are expended when someone accepts a resurrection. Players are able to cancel the Combat Resurrection without using the charge.
The party begins with 1 charge at the beginning of the dungeon, with an additional charge every 10 minutes.
There is a maximum of 5 charges that can be stored.
For groups that do not have a combat resurrection, a player with the engineering tinker

is a solid alternative.
Gear and Talent Locks
Once you start the dungeon, gear swaps are no longer allowed except for Weapons in Dragonflight. Your Talents will also be locked inside a Mythic+ dungeon.
However, you are able to zone out of the dungeon to swap gear or talents before zoning back in.

To attempt a Mythic+ dungeon, players should bring:
One tank
One healer
Three DPS
You cannot change party members once you have begun a Mythic+ dungeon.
If one of your players disconnects or leaves the group, the dungeon must be reset in order to refill the group. All group members must be inside the dungeon before you can activate the Keystone.
Mythic+ dungeons, at least up to level 15, are balanced so that proper execution is a bigger factor in the party's success than any particular composition.
That said, it is also beneficial to have at least one source of the following utility functions:

AoE/cleave DPS and single-target DPS are both important. While trash does constitute the majority of a Mythic+ dungeon, the bosses can often become extremely dangerous, especially at higher Mythic+ levels, and quickly defeating them can be the difference between success and failure.
You cannot change talents or specs while
inside
the dungeon once you have begun. However, you can zone out of the dungeon to change your talents before re-entering.

Challenger's Burden
While inside a Mythic+ dungeon, all players are affected by

. Whenever a player dies, 5 seconds is removed from the timer as a penalty. The

debuff forces the party to consider whether a "death run" - streaking past a long stretch of trash mobs only to die and be resurrected in a safe location beyond them - is strategically beneficial.
This also serves as an indicator to the party that they may not be ready for a certain Mythic+ level. If accidental deaths are too frequent, the party will run out its clock long before completing the dungeon. Players will either need to come back with better gear, or improve their techniques and strategies in order to succeed.
Mythic Keystones
Mythic Keystones are special items that allow a player to begin a Mythic+ dungeon. The tooltip for these Keystones lists important information:
The dungeon for which the Keystone is attuned
The level of the Keystone
Any affixes that might be in play for that dungeon (see below)
The remaining duration on the Keystone item, which expires on the weekly dungeon lockout
A player may only possess one Mythic Keystone at a time, and will only receive
one
keystone per week.
Acquiring the Keystone
If you do not have a Keystone, there are multiple ways to obtain one:
Complete a Mythic 0 dungeon to receive a Keystone from the end boss
Participate in a Mythic+ dungeon using another player's Keystone to receive a Keystone from the end of dungeon chest
If you have done at least one Mythic+ dungeon in the previous Weekly Reset, open the Great Vault in Valdrakken and choose any reward to receive a new Keystone
The Keystone's level will be the highest of the following requirements:
One level lower than the highest Mythic+ dungeon that didn't complete in time last week.
Equal level to the highest Mythic+ dungeon in time last week.
One level lower than the keystone level you received last week.
Each player will have their own keystone that cannot be deleted. If the level gets too high for your liking, you may lower the Keystone's level by 1 step at a time by starting the dungeon, and then resetting it.
Upgrading the Keystone
If you successfully complete a Mythic+ dungeon within the time allotted, the Keystone that was used to start the attempt will become upgraded by at least 1 level. The faster you clear the content, the larger the upgrade, up to a maximum of 3 levels higher.
Beating the timer with less than 20% remaining, results in a +1 upgrade, e.g. from 3 to 4
Beating the timer with more than 20% but less than 40% remaining, results in a +2 upgrade, e.g. from 3 to 5
Beating the timer with more than 40% of the allotted time remaining, results in a +3 upgrade, e.g. from 3 to 6
Failing the timer, but completing the dungeon, results in a -1 upgrade, e.g. from 3 to 2
At the end of the dungeon run, the upgraded Keystone will be placed in the initiating player's bag. Each time a Keystone is upgraded it will select a new dungeon at random. If the dungeon is not completed at all, the Keystone will get a -1 upgrade and be for the
same
dungeon.
Mythic+ Affixes
An affix is an additional property that affects the way enemies within the dungeon will behave. These affixes will appear right away in Dragonflight with
强韧
and
残暴
at Level 2, the easiest difficulty of Mythic+ dungeons.
If your Keystone has an affix listed on it, then the majority of enemies in that Mythic+ dungeon will inherit this property. This Keystone affixes change weekly on a set rotation and are global. All players who enter a Level 10 Mythic+ dungeon will have the same affixes for the week.
Affix Rotation
Affixes are on a 12 week rotation and the affix rotation has changed once again in Dragonflight Season 2! There are 3 new affixes:

have been removed. Seasonal affixes have been retired, and affixes are now active at keystone levels 2, 7, and 14.
Keystone Level 2 - Fortified / Tyrannical
At Mythic Keystone level 2, players will see their first affix. It will be printed on the keystone's tooltip, and information about it will appear both on the Font of Power menu and the Objectives frame (where the timer and kill count are displayed) during the dungeon run.
The Level 2 affix is either

or

and alternates each week. This makes the bosses difficult on one week and the trash more difficult on another.
Keystone Level 5 - Second Affix
Affix information appears in the Objectivesframe - this run featured the

affixThe Level 5 affix can be one of the following:

Keystone Level 10 - Third Affix
At Mythic Keystone level 10, players will see a third affix added to their Keystone and this can be one of the following:

This affix will affect every dungeon on a
强韧
week. In a
强韧
dungeon, all of the trash mobs have 20% more health and deal up to 30% additional damage.
Avoid pulling excessive trash packs
Use AoE CC and stuns liberally to reduce damage
Focus on priority targets
Tanks may need to kite enemies more frequently
强韧
's damage and health bonuses are multiplicative with the Mythic+ damage and health bonuses shown in the table above.
This affix will affect every dungeon on a
残暴
week. In a
残暴
dungeon, all of the bosses have 30% more health and deal up to 15% additional damage.
This can cause many extremely dangerous abilities to one-shot the party if health levels are not high enough
Serves as an additional gear check to these dungeons
Tanks may need to kite bosses more frequently
残暴
's damage and health bonuses are multiplicative with the Mythic+ damage and health bonuses shown in the table above.
Enemies who die will buff other nearby enemies
which are in combat
with
激励
, causing them to deal 20% additional damage for 20 seconds. This can stack multiple times, resulting in an extremely dangerous enemy that will take a long time to defeat. The range on the buffing ability is 30 yards.
The
激励
affix does not apply to adds that are part of a boss encounter. However, if players drag trash packs into a boss fight, those trash mobs will apply
激励
to the boss when they die. This is undesirable. If players wish to save time by dragging trash into a boss fight, be sure to pull the trash more than 30 yards away from the boss before killing it.
Whenever a monster is killed, all players will get a stack of
爆裂
which will stack. One or two stacks will not be deadly, but killing an entire pack of 8 packs simultaneously will probably end up killing the party. In Dragonflight, this is a Magic debuff that can be dispelled.
During
崩裂
, it's important to stagger the deaths of the enemy forces so that the debuff doesn't stack up too high. Be careful not to use too many AoE abilities and kill the monsters too early before the debuff drops off. Immunity abilities such as
暗影斗篷
and
寒冰屏障
will remove all current stacks and prevent future stacks from applying.
The damage of Bursting stops scaling past Keystone level +15.
The
暴怒
affix causes enemies to
激怒
at 30% health, becoming immune to crowd control (excluding interrupts) until they are defeated.
When this affix is active, AoE and cleave damage can be dangerous. Be sure to mark a priority target in each pull, and when that target
激怒
s, focus fire to bring it down quickly. Certain raging mobs in a pack will need to be focused to prevent them casting a dangerous ability normally stopped with CC. Enraged mobs will keep the
激怒
affix even if they are healed about 30% for any reason.
Druids, Rogues and Hunters are able to remove
激怒
using
安抚
,
毒刃
and
宁神射击
.
A pool of Sanguine IchorWhenever a non-boss enemy dies, a pool of
鲜血脓液
forms at its location, starting from the point it died and expanding. The pool will last for 12 seconds and has two effects:
鲜血脓液
heals enemies standing within it for 5% of their health each second
鲜血脓液
deals damage to players standing within it for 15% of their health each second
Tanks must pull the remaining mobs away from the location of the
鲜血脓液
pool, and melee DPS must be cautious. It does take several seconds for the
鲜血脓液
to form, so there is plenty of time to react and avoid damage. Sanguine pools apply their first damage tick immediately. This means that it's more important to place the pools of sanguine in safe locations so that the group may traverse the dungeon without taking a large amount of damage from crossing the sanguine pools after combat has ended.
The
怨毒
affix causes a mob to die, it will summon a
怨毒影魔
creature that will fixate a random non-tank player. These
怨毒影魔
loses 8% of its health every second and do nothing but chase their target down.
Spiteful Shades can be fully Crowd Controlled using stuns, slows and knocks, so use these to your advantage. It's usually more important to run from your Spiteful Shade, then it is to keep doing your job.

while in combat. Afflicted Souls will begin casting an uninterruptible

, which will reduce all players Haste by 100% for 10 seconds. Afflicted Souls have

and dispelling one of these debuffs, or healing the soul to max health will cause it to stop casting and despawn.

has a range of 60 yards, and can also be avoided by line-of-sight.
Players should make sure to talent into their dispel and off-healing abilities to deal with this affix when it is active. Being able to stay healthy so your healer can focus on healing the

instead of you will help out.
纠缠
periodically spawns a plant under players while in combat, giving you the
缠绕
buff and slowing you by 30%. Moving 10 yards away from the plant will snap the vine and remove the buff, however failing to move from the plant within 8 seconds will cause the plant to stun you for 3 seconds. The
缠绕
buff can be removed with root breaking effects such as

or
迅如猛虎
.
Talenting in to movement abilities or root breaking effects such as
自由祝福
or
迅如猛虎
will be very beneficial when
纠缠
is active.

periodically summons incorporeal beings throughout combat which will continuously cast

, reducing player damage healing by 50%. The Incorporeal beings last for 20 seconds before disappearing. The Incorporeal beings are
ALL
mob types, so CC abilities with mob type restrictions will all work on them. Interrupting
失衡
will simply cause it to instantly recast it.
Talenting into your hard cc abilities (if you have them) is crucial when
虚体
is active.
Enemies in a
风雷
dungeon will periodically summon Tornadoes which slowly spiral clockwise for about 10 seconds. Getting hit by the Tornado will cause you to be knocked back, take 15% of your health in damage and will cause the tornado to despawn. The more mobs that the party is engaged with, the more tornadoes that can be active at the same time.
Don't be afraid to run into a Tornado if nothing is happening to clear it out of the way.
A Volcanic Plume
Move before it erupts
Enemies in a
火山
dungeon will cause
岩浆柱
s to spawn beneath the feet of distant players. Two seconds later, the
岩浆柱
will erupt, dealing damage equal to 20% of the player's health to any player standing within 2 yards of the Plume and knocking them high into the air. Both boss and trash mobs will cause Volcanic Plumes to form.
Note that "distant" refers to the distance from the enemy mob. In most cases, melee DPS and tanks do not have to worry about this mechanic, and if ranged DPS and healers stand close to the enemies,

s may not spawn. However, if there is an enemy that leaps away, or an add that spawns far from its summoner,
岩浆柱
s may begin to appear in melee range.
Blizzard's Mythic+ Score
Blizzard added their own version of
Raider.IO
score in Patch 9.1! Here's a brief summary of the system, but check out our Mythic+ Rating Guide for all the details on the system!
The higher the keystone level completed and the more affixes that are on the key, the more rating you will get. This increase is
linear
unlike Raider.io's exponential scoring system.
A small amount of points are awarded or subtracted based on how much faster or slower the dungeon was completed.
Score is accumulated for your highest key on
both
残暴
and
强韧
. Your higher key of the two will award
100%
of the score, but the lower key of the two will only contribute
33%
score for the run.
In LFG, your overall Mythic+ Rating will be shown to group leaders or applicants, along with your highest keystone and your Dungeon Mythic+ Rating for that dungeon.
Blizzard's Mythic+ Rating is not account-wide.

Raider.IO Scores
Before Patch 9.1, the most popular way to evaluate players was by using the site
Raider.IO
or the associated
Raider.IO addon
. Raider.IO's system is very similar to Blizzard's Mythic+ rating in that it assigns scores for every character, based on how many Mythic Keystones they have completed.
However, Raider.IO offers many details that aren't supported by Blizzard's Mythic+ Score, including role scores and alt scores! It also allows you to see the history of keys done by a player.

Loot
There are two types of loot associated with Mythic+ Dungeons: a chest at the end of the instance, and the Weekly Great Vault.
End of Dungeon Loot
At the end of a successful run, a chest will appear that all players can loot.
The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is
Every player will receive some Anima
Two pieces of loot are guaranteed, which will be randomly assigned to two players.
If the dungeon is not completed in time, the second piece of gear will have it's item level lowered.
Players will receive items that are appropriate to their class/spec from the Loot Table of the entire dungeon.
These items can be traded to other eligible players in the party if they are not an ilvl upgrade for the player who won them
The Great Vault
At the beginning of the new reset week, on Tuesday (US) or Wednesday (EU), players who have completed a Mythic Keystone dungeon the week before or completed activities in Raids or PvP will have access to the Great Vault in Oribos. Depending on how many objectives they completed across all 3 activities in the previous week, you will get multiple choices of loot, but can
only pick 1
.

Your Great Vault will also contain a random Mythic Keystone.
For Mythic Plus Dungeons, the item level is determined by the Highest / 4th Highest / 8th Highest Key that you completed for the week.
If you completed fewer than 4 M+ dungeons in a week, on reset, you would get one item offered in your Great Vault. Its ilevel would be based on the highest level dungeon that you completed.
If you completed more than 4 but fewer than 10 M+ dungeons in a week, on reset, you would get two items offered in your Great Vault. The first one's ilevel would be based on the highest level dungeon that you completed. The second one's ilevel would be based on the fourth highest level dungeon that you completed.
If you completed more than 8 M+ dungeons in a week, on reset, you would get three items offered in your Great Vault. The first one's ilevel would be based on the highest level dungeon that you completed. The second one's ilevel would be based on the fourth highest level dungeon that you completed. The third one's ilevel would be based on the tenth highest level dungeon that you completed.
Upgrading Gear
Patch 10.1 introduced a new universal gear upgrade system to WoW. This system revolves around collecting
飞珑石
and Crests, allowing gear obtained in the current Dragonflight season to be upgraded a couple of item levels.
Any piece of gear from Mythic+, Raid, or the open world can be upgraded. When upgrading an item, you must spend
飞珑石
and a certain crest to increase its item level. Each step will cost you one crest and a number of
飞珑石
. The number of
飞珑石
depends on the item level of the item and item slot. Once you upgrade or obtain an item at a certain item level, any upgrades to other items to reach that item level for that given slot will have a discount.
飞珑石
is a reward from completing a Mythic+ dungeon, in addition to other sources, such as raids and the open world. Crests come in different forms, and better crests come from completing higher level Mthic+ dungeons.

Considering all of the weapon skins in this expansion and how amazing they are, it makes me wonder why BM hunter weapons ( guns) are so incredibly underwhelming in comparison..

I dont really know the point of running anything past 5
is the extra 15ilvls actually going to make a difference if you go all the way to 10? doubt it.
Just an epeen measurement by that point.

Okay to clarify - the chest at the end drops 2 total loot, not 2 for each player?
I assume then that the loot will be group loot rolled for? Personal loot at that point makes no sense at all..

Really good post thank you! Just want to ask if the "duration" on the keystone is 1 week long or does it go along with the weekly Wednesday reset? Lets say I pick one up on Monday, will it say 2 day duration or 7?
And once it the duration ends do you have to start over from level 2?

So what sort of loot drops in the Grand Challenger's Bounty? Does it just go off of the mythic dungeon loot table? Can it drop loot from raids? Or is it a unique loot table?

Are you supposed to get a depleted keystone at the end of a successful run? Just beat a level 2 Neltharion's lair and got upgrade to 4 for doing it fast enough but keystone was depleted.
EDIT: Logged back in and it was fixed. How strange.

After finish the Dungeon will select a new one but I finished Naltharion´s Lair within the time and the Keystone was upgraded but It was set up for the same dungeon. Is it normal? Can randomly choose the same dungeon?

So if you complete a run, say Mythic 6, and you don't complete the timer, but you do complete the dungeon. I've also cleared a Mythic 5. Will I get a 865 or 870 piece? In other words do you have have to beat the timer to get credit for the weekly chest level?

Does anyone know WHEN the chests will be visible on class hall? Will it be exactly after weekly reset or one week after the Mythic+ dungeon was done? I cleared a level 2 within the timer (3 chests) and a level 5 after the timer (1 chest) but the chest in my townhall does not open and tells me I havent completed any the week before.

I realised my mistake too late, so I ran a few more Mythics hoping to get a new key - 0 result. So, might be a bug, but just in case - do not delete it.

What happens if you don't complete a dungeon? Not leaving a group, just failing to complete it. Will you still get gear in your class hall chest based on the level you participated in? Or get nowt?

So, a question about quests: I know you can't complete dungeon world quests in mythic+ dungeons. The rare mobs/sub-bosses don't spawn, and even "kill n elites that are already there" quests like the bears in darkheart thicket don't get credit in mythic+. What about order hall quests that just require you to complete a dungeon? It seems like they would work with mythic+, but I wondered if anyone knew for sure.

We accidentally queued BRH with 2 tanks but still had plenty of time. Strategy witht he 2 tanks is dont steal aggro but you can hop from trash group to trash group with the 2 tanks leapfrogging near the end of 1 trash group and this saves a bunch of time during trash encounters.

this week in europe we have tyrannical. tooltip when you use the key says 40% health and 20% dmg.
in reality the bosses get 80% health and 40% dmg. possible bug

There was one answer I was looking for and I couldn't find it here. The question was 'where did the first mythic keystone come from'.
The answer is that normal mythic doesn't require a key but gives a key on finish providing you do it in a certain time.

Honestly, this system is

flawed. This system is for people in guild's.
End of story.
Now, if you're like me and don't like to socialize in a game, and instead, want to spend your time actually playing, well, you're screwed.
It's possible to do this in LFG, however, if you apply for a guild carry group, you will almost never get in because another applicant will either 1. have a higher ilvl than you, 2. be a more "preferred" class or spec, or 3. have a keystone that the tank likes more than your's, which makes getting into these groups INCREDIBLY hard. Now, you could start your own group, but see, that doesn't work so good either. Both experiences I've had starting my own group, or joining a random PUG group, rather than a guild carry group, have gone awfully. We've had tanks that don't clear the areas around the bosses, thus DPS pulling add's during the fight, and wiping the group, then the tank decides to leave, claiming the DPS "sucked." And thus, deplete your keystone.
I, myself, do not roll alts. I find it's too much work, and prefer to stick to one toon. Now, I know that people like me are a minority, but I'm sure there are others out there who also don't roll alts, or have stopped once Legion was released, as.. Legion appears to be very.. unfriendly, towards alts. So, you could say, it's a bit frustrating when someone depletes your only chance at gear from Mythic+ and from your Class Hall chest for the whole week.
My question is, how in the world does Blizz expect players who aren't in guilds to be able to gear up and enjoy the game when they can't get into any Mythic+ dungeons? And LFR requires a pretty high ilvl to be going off of Heroic and Mythic gear only, that's quite a grind.
Very, very flawed system. Very unhappy with it and with Blizzard for implementing such a silly thing. If someone DC's during your keystone run, for whatever reason (and &*!@ does happen), you're screwed out of any chance at gear.

I'm gonna use 3 terms here,
Live Keystone: A keystone that's still ticking down
Timed-out Keystone: A keystone that will be dead once you finish the dungeon, but you'll still get one chest when you finish
Dead Keystone (Depleted Keystone): a keystone that does not give a chest when you finish.
Now I know that you are able to leave the dungeon during a keystone run to buy flasks, fix gear, or change talents, and you'd be able to come back no problem but the timer will keep counting down. So even if you take hours to do so, you'd still at least get one chest at the end.
I am in a situation where we were doing a M+10 Vault of the Wardens run where we wiped for hours until we finally got to Cordana Felsong. At this point, all we cared about is clearing the dungeon to get the chest and the weekly reward from the M+10. However, since we took so long, one of our members had to go run some errands and would come back in a few hours. I have a 2 questions here.
1. I've heard that if EVERYONE leaves the dungeon during a live or a timed out keystone, it will be a dead keystone, so even if you come back after everyone has finished, you would not be getting a chest at the end. Is this confirmed?
2. I've had an experience where someone got lagged out in a run and reconnected with no problem, so the same questions as above, if all 5 members were to log off in inside the dungeon, can we log back on at a later time, complete the quest, and still get a chest at the end?

◾Participate in a Mythic+ dungeon using another player's Keystone to receive a level 2 Keystone
◾Once you have done at least one Mythic+ dungeon, open the Grand Challenger's Bounty in your order hall after a weekly dungeon reset to receive a new Keystone
Now the ignorant question: How, exactly, does a player queue for a Mythic instance to get the ball rolling?

the ilvl drop list seems to not be accurate. ive done a +9 with 2 chests yesterday and today ive gotten an 875 titanforged mythic 9 item out of the class hall chest.
according to the list this item should be atleast 890 due to an 875 base ilvl + atleast 15 ilvl cause its shown as titanforged

The remaining times to get two or three chests are:
Dungeon: 2 chests < --- > 3 chests
BRH: 7m;36s <->15m;12s
CoS: 6m <->12m
DHT: 6m <->12m
EoA: 7m <->14m
HoV: 9m <->18m
MoS: 4m 48sec <->9m;36s
ARC: 9m <->18m
VotW: 6m;36s <->13m;12s
So when the timer is higher then these you'll spawn either 2 or 3 chests at the end. Have fun!

Mythic+ dungeon affixes are not chosen at random. They follow a strict rotation/schedule. Different regions can start at a different point in the rotation:
Raging - Necrotic - Fortified
Bolstering - Overflowing - Tyrannical
Sanguine - Volcanic - Fortified
Teeming - Necrotic - Tyrannical
Raging - Volcanic - Tyrannical
Bolstering - Skittish - Fortified
Sanguine - Overflowing - Tyrannical
Teeming - Skittish - Fortified
Since the start of Legion, the EU region has been two weeks ahead of the US region, e.g. when US is on Raging - Necrotic - Fortified, then EU will be on Sanguine - Volcanic - Fortified.

So, I did HoV +8 without my stone (which is a HoV +8 keystone) and at the end, the pop up says, Keystone Upgraded +2, but my keystone still is HoV +8, why it doesn't upgrade?

I'm a little confused about what keystone you will get out of the Challengers Cache. I completed a +14 for example and was given a +10 key out of the cache the week after. While in previous weeks when I had completed a +10 i got a +7 the week after. I can't seem to find any info about what keystone level you will get the week after according to what level you completed in the current week.

I'm a little confused on how the weekly chest loot works. According to the chart it looks like finishing a M+10 should give me a minimum 905 item with a chance to be 915 (Warforged) or 920 (Titanforged)? I got an item with ilvl 905 but it says it's "Mythic 10 Titanforged." Shouldn't it be 920 since it's Titanforged?

Have they changed how keystone levels are rewarded within mythics? One week I did a +11 on my paladin; the next week I got a 10 from the chest but I never did a keystone (nothing completed for the week); the next week I ran a mythic +0 to get a key and received a +9 of the same key from the week before. I did not receive a +2 at all. In other instances, if I missed doing a keystone a week and I run a +0 to get a key, I get something along the lines of a 4 or a 6 ( I assume scaling to the specific toon's highest completed key and then down 1) but not receiving a lower +2.

This is a great guide, so first off... Thank you for the work you've put into this.
However, something that I didn't understand is how to get into the initial Mythic 0 dungeons. I looked all over in the dungeon finder which was the wrong place to go. Blizzard doesn't show it at all in game (at least where I could find it) and if you check the Mythic Keystone tab, it doesn't say anything there either.
Can you add more information to the 'Acquiring the Keystone' section to explain where to find groups for Mythic 0 dungeons.

Now that we are in Season 3 (Patch 8.2), there is a lot of confusion (at least there has been for me) about item level drops at the end of Mythic+ dungeons and also in the weekly chest. Here is the best info that I could find (straight from Blizzard, see link below, I added some clarifying comments in parentheses at times, but it's still very confusing how they wrote it, Blizzard should invest in some grammar and sentence structure classes)
Mythic Keystone Dungeon Updates
- Mythic Keystone rewards have been increased by 30 item levels. During the first week of Season 3 (July 9-15), rewards from end-of-run chests will be capped at item-level 415 for Mythic Keystone at +6 difficulty (or higher), and the weekly cache (available July 9) will be a Season 2 reward (from the highest keystone done in Season 2 the week before).
- Beginning the second week of Season 3 (starting July 16), the weekly cache will not be affected by the (above) cap and will reward Season 3 items at the higher item levels. Completing a Mythic Keystone at +10 difficulty during the first week (July 9-15) will then provide the new highest item level in the weekly cache when it’s available in week 2 (July 16).

So basically for those who never had done anything in Legion due to Artifact Weapons, just have to do a 15 in time now (season 4) to get an Artifact Weapon skin...... is that really what Blizzard is rewarding?
Okay, I guess it's nice for those who didn't got those skins, but most people have, and well, I had expected a little better from Blizz on this tbh.

Weekly chest reward is wrong for +9. You only get a 460 item for it, NOT 465 like you would in a +10.

please check and correct end of dungeon loot ilevel. For example, we did a 6 on alts and they got 450 gear not 445.

Thanks for the guide, extremely helpful. As someone who just started doing Mythic+ runs, this helped me get a better understanding of the different affixes each week, and why some weeks would be more difficult than others based on pairings.
I am still a bit green on the Loot Tables for the weekly chest, and am curious if there are any benefits to doing more Mythic+ runs each week other than just upgrading your key and chance at a higher level Loot item. Say for instance, if you did 6 runs in a week starting from Mythic+5 to Mythic+10, is there any benefit gained outside of gear and keystone? Like do you get a cumulative amount of Titan Residuum, or just the base amount for your highest key used successfully? I am currently at M10, and did pretty much them all from M0 to M10 this week in various order of what the keys came to me from the chests.
Also, I do not see anything listed here, but are there any other potential rewards available in the Dungeon Loot / Weekly Chest? Just curious as I know Island Expeditions offer a lot of different variants from Transmogs, Pets, Mounts, etc...

Dear Blizz community, I'm just throwing this out there, but I would like to see BFA Mythic+ playable in the following expansions (nice if Legion could be too). My vision on how it would work and the benefits to the game:
The keys just keep getting bigger, and so does the % increase in dmg and health in mobs. This would mean that at some point people would run mythic+200, which would be just as challenging as it was the first day the expansion came out. As gear ilvl increases, the mythic+ increases with no need to recode the dungeons. As far as rewards, you can figure out a gear system that would fit too (5 ilvls per every 20lvls of key or whatever works out in the math department). Or you can award tokens that one can spend to get gear in the current expansion. You can make the call if you want to increase the affix on the keys as the get higher. While I think that at +100 the dmg and health increase would be like 400% or something crazy so that would balance out, but if you want to add a random affix every 20lvls that would/could work as well. Overall, as the player gear increases it will hit a mythic+ that will challenge the player, it may jump from lvl20 to lvl100 in the first week, but it will hit a wall as long as the dmg/health of mobs goes up 2% per key lvl or whatever it is.
Benefits:
You now have more content to play when doing mythic + content (and maybe during MDI).
The content is now not throw away work going forward (playable for the life of the game!)
New challenges for players, like who can get the highest key completed. The goal and challenge would change and grow all the time, making those older dungeons played more and with "current content".
Will allow players to play their favorite dungeons from past expansions with new friends.
Down side:
I really can't think of any...
Maybe you have to recode the keys to keep increasing, but that is a one time thing.
Possible bugs when keys get to high.

The reduced amount of loot drops in Mythic+ during Shadowlands is ridiculous, especially when you get shafted by RNG. As of now, I have completed 23 dungeons in time where there are 2 chances at loot (40% chance). This would mean I should get about 9 pieces of loot, but nope I got 4 pieces from 23 dungeons. GG blizz.

Please update this line "The Keystone received will be one level lower than the best Mythic+ dungeon you completed last week, or a Keystone Level 2, whichever is higher" with the updated information. I had a Blizzard customer support rep reference this incorrect information in a ticket just now.

It's important to note that the End-of-Dungeon reward from a +10 has now increased to 207 and doesn't increase further until +15.
A little confusing that the table hasn't been updated to reflect this, or maybe the table is right and this statement is now wrong.

M+ dungeons reward 2 pieces of loot if the dungeon is timed
or
overtimed. If it is overtimed, one of the pieces of loot will be at an ilvl slightly less than the other, where as the other will be at the ilvl that the dungeon keystone level is supposed to drop. I've heard that anything above a 15 has a chance to drop an additional piece of loot (total of 3 pieces), but have yet to confirm this.

Sorry if this has already been answered, I scanned through the comments but did not see it:
As I understand the system, only one member of a party needs to have the Keystone to insert into the Mythic + apparatus.
If I have a Mythic Keystone in my bags (let's say a level 2 for Dungeon X), I then get into a Mythic 5 for Dungeon Y (which Player 2 activates in the Mythic + apparatus), and we complete Dungeon Y with a +1 timer what happens to my personal Keystone in my bags? Does it get an upgrade or does it remain unchanged?
The point is: Is the only way for me to advance my own personal Keystone to be the one who activates the apparatus each and every time?
