Learn how to defeat the Fury Warrior Artifact Challenge encounter,

Fury Warrior Challenge
Introduction
The challenge can be attempted with any gear, though it's recommended for players of at least 915 item level. It is a raidboss length multi-stage encounter designed to test players survivability, dps, and mobility. Remember, these challenges are supposed to be difficult, so don’t be discouraged if it takes a few attempts to get it down. The challenge does not scale with your gear so the more gear you have the easier a time you will have.

can be useful, though I found it difficult to stun more than 1-2 at a time, due to the loose grouping of Imps, whereas Double Time is extraordinarily effective given the amount of movement during the encounter.

is a strong multi-target option, however given that most Imps are burst down during cooldowns, most Wrecking Ball procs will be unnecessary, and while it's a stronger attack than Furious Slash, using it significantly reduces Enrage uptime and single target damage.
战争印记
is better than it sounds, given the frequent damage taken during the encounter; however, I prefer Furious Charge when using Double Time for the extra sustain.
Useful gear
Normal dungeon or raid gear is appropriate, at this stage in legion you should be able to collect a set of appropriate gear from argus/antorus LFR. You can follow the guidelines detailed in the
Fury gear guide
, including any set bonuses. But it's not necessary.
Legendaries
Any legendary is better than no legendary, but these stand out the most. Keep in mind that the encounter is more about control and survivability than DPS.

can be useful for handling Imps, but since they're largely killed inside Battle Cry, it's not necessary.

is one of the better trinkets for bursting down groups of Imps, if you can't quite handle them normally.

can be kept on cooldown, making it one of the stronger legendaries for this encounter.

gives you a ton of sustain allowing you to focus more on damage and less on surviving.

Given the choice, the best options are generally

- getting more DPS is easy, but additional survivability isn't. Prydaz will allow you to stand in puddles, survive through blocked interrupts, or get hit by boulders, and Mannoroth's will help you heal back up quicker. Keep your health up, and you can keep the fight going as long as necessary. But ultimately any legendarys should do at item level 1000.
Trinkets
Any damage trinkets should be helpful, below are some suggestions but some of them are rather difficult to obtain and won't provide too much of a benefit, but if you have a decent item level of these trinkets they will help you out.

is perfect for taking down Agatha's shield quickly, even without cooldowns, which allows saving Battle Cry for AoE.
凝结的命运
allows more frequent use of Battle Cry this can make it not line up with Umbral Imp spawns but brings a lot of extra damage.
戈隆獠牙战争号角
is up very often, and adds a large damage boost due to all of the enemies being demons, despite being an old and low ilevel trinket.
晶化幼蝎之爪
causes frequent multi-target damage which can help slowly kill imps while maintaining focus on the boss.
巨型观赏珍珠
is somewhat gimmicky, but can be very useful for players who have issues dealing with Scorching or Umbral Imps during Agatha's shield.

useful for bursting down groups of imps quickly when synced with other cooldowns. Similar options include

Which trinkets should be used depends wholly on the player. Remembering that Imps should be killed en masse during cooldowns rather than individually, an AoE trinket would help defeat them quicker. If breaking through Agatha's shield quickly is more difficult, Draught of Souls may add more use. Finally, Convergence of Fates and Gronntooth Warhorn are very good "all around" trinkets, especially for players with a keen grasp on the encounters timings.

The Encounter
The challenge consists of
阿加莎
and various Imps which will spawn throughout the encounters two phases.
Agatha
The main boss which must be defeated:

is a low damage auto-attack.
阿加莎的狂怒
is cast at the players feet whenever an imp dies, but is easily dodged.
黑暗之怒
is channeled once Agatha reaches 100 energy (roughly every minute), causes a stacking debuff which quickly ramps up in damage. An absorption shield must first be broken in order to interrupt the channel and remove the debuff. Note that the shield
cannot
be broken while Umbral Imps are present.
Imps
Summoned frequently throughout the encounter, they present unique threats which must be handled in addition to the main bosses abilities. Although they can be dangerous en masse, they are largely meant to serve as a distraction for the player, overwhelming them with mechanics to the point where the player falls behind and makes a fatal mistake.

which damages and slows players. They can be kited or killed, but are mainly meant to distract the player and cut off movement.

spawn two at a time, these imps run toward Agatha and channel a minor heal unless stunned, interrupted (the heal will restart after a short period), or killed.

spawn either three at a time together or one at a timer along with Umbral Imps, these imps shoot fireballs at the player adding minor damage. The damage is low, but adds a stacking debuff, so they're only dangerous if ignored for prolonged periods of time.
阴暗小鬼
spawn one to three at a time, these imps occasionally teleport around Agatha and make her (and her Dark Fury shield) immune to all damage until they are killed. They are the real threat and set the pace of the encounter.
General Strategy
While your instincts may tell you to kill each imp as they spawn before returning to Agatha, this can be incredibly inefficient, and could cause the player to fall behind, significantly lengthening the encounter and overwhelming the player. Because Fury Warriors have frequent high burst cooldowns and AoE attacks, a much more effective strategy is to ignore the adds, focusing on Agatha until Umbral Imps spawn (rendering her immune to damage), and then wipe out the group up imps together within a few short seconds with Battle Cry and Odyn's Fury. This allows the player to push Agatha quicker and time cooldowns easier without the need to constantly move around chasing new targets.
Phase 1
Agatha begins the encounter in the center of the tunnel and remains stationary pop your cooldowns on the pull and pre-pot. Three Smoldering Imps are summoned at the start, and can be quickly taken down during the opening burst. Soon after she will summon two Imp Servants and a Fuming Imp. Because it can be easier to
control
the imps rather than kill them individually, so you can move to the side of the tunnel and let the Fuming Imp drop its Plague Zone in the corner, out of harm's way; the damage is minor, so you can easily stack Plague Zones atop one another every time a Fuming Imp spawns. If your character is relatively geared you may find it is easier to just kill them wherever as the challenge will be over fairly quickly and with warrior mobility you don't run into too much risk of running out of real estate later in the encounter. The Servants only heal ~100k hp/second, which is easy to out dps, so don't worry too much about killing them quickly, but take them down as you can. Shortly after Agatha will cast Dark Fury and gains an absorption shield. Another Fuming will appear while the shield is up, simply move to her side to drop it near the first Plague Zone (if necessary), and continue attacking Agatha to deplete her shield and interrupt once it's down,
but do not use Battle Cry yet since Umbral Imps will spawn immediately after
(Avatar may be used if desired, since it will last long enough to cover both).
Three Umbral Imps and two more Servants will spawn 12 seconds after Dark Fury begins, and her shield needs to be down by then, or it will become immune to damage until the Umbrals are killed. Since Agatha is immune to damage, hard swap to one of the Umbrals, or an Imp Servant, and AoE them all down with
Whirlwind - Battle Cry - Rampage - Odyn's Fury - Whirlwind x2 - Bloodthirst
(and any AoE trinkets, if equipped). Kill off any remaining Imps and return focus to Agatha. The field should now be clear of Imps.
Another Fuming will spawn, followed by another Dark Fury and and two Imp Servants. Depending on your DPS, these last events can be skipped, but should be handled the same way; at 50% Agatha will teleport to the far end of the room. Heroic Leap and Charge to catch up and begin phase 2.
Step-by-step Recap
:
Kill Smoldering Imps at the start of the fight.
Single target Agatha.
Move to Agathta's side if necessary to drop Fuming Imp puddles atop one another, then move out and continue DPS.
Dark Fury shield will appear - break and interrupt - do not use Battle Cry yet (Avatar can be used on this).
Umbral Imps will spawn along with a second group of Servants - change target to Umbrals or Servants, use Battle Cry and AoE them all down.
Return focus to Agatha.
Repeat until 50% - phase 2.
Phase 2
In addition to all previous mechanics, Fel Boulders will now drop from the edge of the room and roll down the hallway. Each one takes up 1/3 of the platform, will stun and do extremely high damage (potential one shot for the lesser geared) if they hit. Proper placement of Fuming Imps can help ensure you aren't slowed and unable to get out of their path, though if you are hit Enraged Regeneration can be used to quickly heal back up.

will now also periodically spawn beneath you and create puddles of fire, simply move out of them (unlike Fuming Imp Plague Zones, these puddles despawn).
Aside from the added threats, this phase largely follows the same rules as the first - drop Plague Zones out of the way, break and interrupt Dark Fury, and AoE down Imps when Umbrals spawn. Instead of getting three Umbrals each time, Smoldering Imps will spawn in place of one or two of them, though they are no added threat if handled the same way.
At 35% and every 1.12 minutes after, Agatha will teleport to the other end of the hallway - Heroic Leap and Charge her to catch up. You can also use

to slow any imps that are now going to try to catch up with her buying you some more time to dps her. Since Imps and boulders will have to catch up to her, and we are much faster than they are, you can get a good chunk of damage in here. Simply repeat the process until Agatha is defeated.
Step-by-step Recap
:
Chase Agatha to the end of the hallway.
Dodge boulders.
Continue dropping Fuming Imp Plague Zones to the left or right of Agatha - leave yourself enough room to run from left to right without being slowed.
Scorching Imps will spawn alongside Umbrals, make sure they die in a timely fashion with the rest of the imps, or their stacking debuff can ramp up quickly.
Handle Dark Fury as in phase 1
Use Heroic Leap and Charge to chase Agatha to the other end of the hallway when she teleports.

Tips + tricks

is incredibly useful here, the extra damage will help kill Imps faster and healing procs offset the constant incoming damage.

can save your life if you get hit by an unexpected boulder.

can slow Fuming Imps or Servants, so that they take longer to catch up to you or Agatha, however take care not to desync sets of Servants - the idea is to kill them all together, not space them out.
狂怒战鼓
can be used at any time, the beginning of the encounter is static and more dps can be gained, though the end of the encounter is more of a race, as Plague Zones stack up.
Avoiding boulders is crucial in phase 2, as they can sometimes tick twice and instantly kill the player. Avoid dropping Plague Zones in the middle of the hallway so that you aren't slowed and unable to escape their path.
The challenge is a mechanics check more so than a DPS one. Stopping damage to avoid a boulder or place a Plague Zone is more important than dealing it yourself, so focus on handling imps and avoiding damage to win.

her lair is considered "outdoors" so a bunch of buffs that wouldn't normally function work in dungeons or instances work against her.
For example, Lightblood Elixir, Sylvan Elixir, the Armies of Legionfall buff all work inside her lair.

I found a way to make this a little bit easier.
I got the npcscan addon, added the npc ID: 115640 in the NPCs -> custom tab,
set detection interval to minimal and put on the sound alerts.
So it alerts every time a fuming imp spawns.
It made the challenge easier because I had 1 thing less to keep track of.

This is so damn frustrating. I have been trying to do this since iLevel 880. I am now 940. Fury Warriors cannot survive because we take that ridiculous and pointless extra 20% damage while enraged and we have no decent ability to heal or mitigate damage. Enraged Regeneration is useless. I keep hoping for Prydaz but it hasn't dropped. Everything else has so at least it should be next. Sigh.

Ok after having done this at 940ish ilvl (crafted heal belt+ Manno bracers), there's a few pointers.
First off, contrary to the above guide. I would actually recommend doing damage to imp servants as quickly as possible all the time. Don't go to them, wait till they are near Agatha. Do as much damage as possible till they are dead or if close to a Dark Fury, as low health as possible. Hopefully 1 should be down during Dark Fury so they don't heal shield too much.
Secondly, get Lightblood elixir. It is a must by now. It drastically reduced the time doing the encounter, with being my 2nd highest damage ability through the whole fight. Adds and Dark Fury shield is no longer a problem. It stacks with whatever main stat flask you have.

Anyone know the exact timing on the Fuming Imps? Otherwise, anyone know if there is a way to have DBM keep track of that timer? Those keep screwing me over, and I die in P1, with her at about 60% as I run out of places to move to.
