Rotation changes for Feral Druid in Patch 9.2
How Do Tier Sets affect Feral Druid's Rotation
There are very few to no changes to gameplay caused by the tier set, even if the tier set were tuned to a reasonable level this would likely still be the case however at the level blizzard have tuned there's none. The tier set's primary value is all passive, if the set were tuned to be competitive enough then it's likely that there may be fight specific gameplay changes, such as holding the tier set use for AOE.
There is a slight inflation of the value of

once you have two legendaries, and you'll want to continue syncing the cooldowns of

How Do Double Legendaries Dffect Feral Druid’s Rotation
There are no changes to gameplay caused by double legendaries, none of Feral's legendaries have any interaction with the covenant legendaries.

Feral Druid Advanced Tips
Bleed Strength
A unique mechanic still present in Feral, unlike other specs, is snapshotting. Snapshotting is when a buff that is present when a bleed is applied is maintained over the duration of the bleed. Feral now only has limited snapshotting with specific abilities,

. Tracking bleed strength is important if you want to take the biggest advantage of the Pandemic mechanic. You will always overwrite a weaker

with a stronger bleed as long as the timer is 80% duration or less. You'll always want to apply the strongest

possible and it's worth dropping rip for up to 5 seconds to ensure you

Energy Pooling
Feral is an Energy-based class with a strong emphasis on damage over time. Due to the limited nature of Energy, you will always have the same amount of Energy generated per second over the course of the fight. Because of this, doing nothing and allowing Energy to regenerate is a net neutral DPS change.
Pooling is the method by which you turn this neutrality into a positive effect. The general idea is that you ensure that you have your DoTs ticking, you generate 5 Combo Points and then you wait, or “pool”. This allows you to regain Energy, increasing your damage immensely, and maintaining your current damage at worst. Successful pooling will result in higher Energy amounts when you cast your finishers, smoothing out the rotation and allowing you to react to procs, additional mobs, or other changes in your situation as efficiently as possible. It also has benefits in playstyle and limiting the impact of RNG on your uptimes.
Pandemic Mechanic
The Pandemic mechanic is any DoT (bleed in our case) or buff that is refreshed early will add up to 30% duration and apply it to the new DoT. That means as long as you refresh your bleeds when they have 30% or less remaining duration you will not lose any uptime.

The racial for Night Elf druids is also an offensive cooldown for Feral. Using

considers you in stealth which causes your
斜掠
to deal 100% additional damage if cast from

or Shadowmeld. For this reason, it is preferable to play Night Elf for maximum throughput as feral.
Owlweaving
I hate that I am writing this section of a guide. goddamnit.
Owlweaving is essentially what it sounds like, anyone who played Guardian Druid in legion will be familiar with the general concept of catweaving. This is basically that, but owls. Enough time has now passed of this being a thing that it deserves an addition to this section. Bear in mind that this may be nerfed at any point (PLEASE).
The general guidelines
You will owlweave if you meet the following conditions
Less than 40 energy
Rip up and duration greater than 4.5s or less than 5 combo points
Tiger's fury on cooldown and greater than 6.5s cooldown
If Berserk is up then it has more than 5s duration
No Clearcasting or Apex procs and no Heroism
What do I cast
If you have Heart of the Wild off cooldown or active then you'll want to:
Heart of the Wild or Moonkin Form
Starsurge
Sunfire
Moonfire
Cat Form
If you don't have Heart of the Wild up or Active
Moonkin Form
Sunfire
Moonfire
Cat Form
You can also use this
weakaura
to help tracking when you should be doing it.
Commentary
This part of the guide is a commentary on the way this plays and the concept of it. Some people may enjoy this, I have even semi stockholm'ed myself into almost enjoying it. However I think conceptually and in practise this is extremely stupid and I hate it.
The gameplay feels extremely clunky due to the sudden shift in the length of the GCD, going from a 1s static GCD in cat form to a 1.5s GCD. It makes everything feel extremely slow and awkward. Conceptually I hate it as well, I do not enjoy the thought of pressing Moonkin Form every 11 seconds in the general rotation.
Blizzard please nerf this.
Baseline Abilities for Feral Druids
Cooldowns

: Feral's main offensive cooldown, it grants a stealth benefit to Shred and Rake, and gives a chance per Combo Point spent to refund Combo Points when you cast finishers.

: An offensive cooldown that restores Energy and increases damage done by 15% for the full duration. This damage increase snapshots onto our DoTs.

: A Feral passive which causes all Combo Point generators to give an additional Combo Point if the ability crits. For AoE abilities a crit on any target will trigger this affect but it will not generate more than 1 extra Combo Point per cast of the ability.

talent this is not a rotational ability, however with the talent it becomes a maintenance DoT that deals damage and generates a Combo Point.

: The basic AoE Combo Point generator. Deals damage and generates a Combo Point.

: The basic AoE DoT Combo Point generator. Deals damage over time and generates a Combo Point.
Defensive, Mobility, and Utility Abilities

: A defensive ability that reduces damage taken by 50%.

: Feral's other defensive ability.

: A 15 second duration sprint that increases movement speed by 70%.

: Both a small charge and our interrupt. If out of melee range but within

You link with another member but now both members receive a "pool" of damage, containing 20% of damage dealt by each person,. This pool is then spent as additional damage on each ability, or healing, or as a shield when taking damage.

Summons a steward who allows you to do things like change talents and repair/sell items. The meat of the bonus is

Stacking damage boost on a 3 minute CD. The Idle period can also be stacked by non combat abilities such as

The Necrolord Class ability for druids is

, a DoT that deals damage and also increases the damage of periodic effects. It lacks complexity on the surface, though there is some complexity around maximizing DoT uptime in single target. This covenant ability also has a significant impact on the talents you'll take.

This is a simple ability, casting a channel granting a pretty hefty shield. Channeling this will also grant a damage reduction.

This ability casts 16 spells, 10 of which are form specific spells, with the rest being distributed between non form specific spells. This ability does have a degree of variance to it, which can be frustrating.

The rotation section of this guide needs to be rewritten.
There are many parts that are ambiguous.
For example:
If Talented 4 or 5 Combo Points - Regrowth for Bloodtalons
If 4 or 5 combo points is talented? If regrowth is talented? This is very confusing to someone who doesn’t already know all the ins and outs of Feral druids, i.e. someone who would be reading this guide.
After reading other guides I have have learned that this should be:
Cast Regrowth if at 4 or 5 combo points and if Bloodtalons is talented.
Another example:
Maintain Rip, if below 25% or with Sabertooth Talented make sure to refresh this with Ferocious Bite.
I have no idea what “if below 25%” means. If the target is below 25% health? If the Rip debuff timer has less than 25% remaining? If my health is below 25%?

Even if i follow the guides here, i still only do a baseline of around mid 4000 damage on single target dummies, when other classes do a baseline of much more than that.
im a 120 feral with an ilvl of 309 atm, it should be better i think? maybe i am wrong
Feral has been shuffled around so much at this point that im at a loss. I struggle a lot to understand how i should talent and do my rotations at this point.

Feral is simple, be an octopus (6-8 button min), and u have half damage like other dps with 2-3 buttons..
And, "Old soldier" said: don't die.

Apparently Guiltyas took a look over the rotation page, and thinks it all looks correct, but hasn't considered that Jagged Wounds, nor the execute mechanic behind Bite no longer being in the game after 8.1...
Yet updated only 12 hours ago...
WoWHead can do so much better in getting someone to maintain their guides.
Edited again almost a week after patch release.
Fantastic to see Jagged Wounds no longer being referred to for pandemic timers, yet the execute mechanic is still on multiple pages after these edits.
Wonderful job in spreading misinformation in what should be a respected guide.

3 things: A clarification request, a "why this?" question, and pointing out a minor error that isn't the usual "Update Rip" that others are saying (which you should still do).
So, in the Bleed Strength section, you say "As long as the timer is 80% duration." Okay, what does this mean exactly? I know the Pandemic stuff for DoTs is that when they're refreshed they retain up to 30% of the max duration depending on how much time was left on the DoT, but what does "the timer is 80% duration" mean in regards? That can be taken as "under 80% duration" or "over 80% duration", but as the reader, for all I know, it could mean that 80% duration of the DoT has been used up and only 20% remains because I can see all of those depending on how you personally view durations and how ambiguous the line is. My gut says "under 80% remaining" but as I'm not the one who's done extensive testing, there's the chance I could be wrong and I'd like to avoid it, but the better option would probably be to instead just say the actual time is for each DoT like you do in the Pandemic section.
Also, I can understand using Ferocious Bite at 5 combo points, increased damage, but why would I wait for 5 combo points for any other reason? If I'm at 4 combo points, and the attack to generate that last point crits, that's a wasted Primal Fury proc, and it's even more confusing when you say to use Regrowth at 4 points if you have Bloodtalons while stating to only use finishers at 5 combo points, and also on top of that taking into account what you mention about snapshots. This isn't a criticism, I'm actually curious about this as other sites show the same but don't go into why. Feral is often compared to playing a Rogue, and Rogue guides do use finishers at 4 combo points, so I'm legitimately curious at the difference.
Lastly, a minor note, but your coding is screwed up on the rotation part. It defaults showing Brutal Slash as the last step with the talent unselected, then shows to use Shred when selecting the Brutal Slash talent.

Comments on this guide now that Shadowlands (9.0) has been released for just over 1 month:
Tiger's Fury will try and avoid casting most DoTs if they are already applied to the target.
Tiger's fury doesn't cast DoTs. Do you mean Convoke the Spirits?
This ability casts 12 spells, 8 of which are form specific spells.
Convoke casts 16 spells.
"On a great number of targets, it may be worth it to use Sabertooth and use 1-2 Combo Point low Energy Ferocious Bites just to maintain the maximum number of Rips."
Why would you not just use Primal Wrath on AoE? A 1 CP bite with Sabertooth extends rip by 1 second.
How many targets is "A great number"?
When do we swap between the Cleave and AOE rotations? There is no differentiation between number of targets.

You will always overwrite a weaker Rake with a stronger bleed as long as the timer is 80% duration.
This sentence is difficult to understand. Above or below 80%? I can't tell when I should attempt overwrite a weaker bleed with a stronger one.

the tigers fury +moonfire combo will also cause the mentioned bug if you use it while apex predator is active, so if you arent able to time your uses of it to make sure apex predator doesn't proc just before you use it, you're best off not using the macro at all on fights you use apex predator for

The pandemic window for a
5-combo-point Rip
is 7s. However, if Rip was applied with fewer combo points, the window is shorter (e.g., only 4s for a 2-combo-point Rip).

This is the worst class guide on WoWHead, I read so far.
Wrong legendary and talent suggestion. Advice us to NOT chose talents and Legendries that not 99%, but 100% of top logs pick.
Also, Feral GCD is 1 sec since 9.0 day 1. what are we talking about here?

WoW head was the on place where I can quickly jump on, and get accurate info, was really helpful to fulfil my role in the guild, this unmoderated misinformation is not acceptable, at least copy the icy veins guide here, if you to lazy to write a proper one.
