Blizzard is applying a hotfix for faster legendary cloak upgrades that will allow you to buy Malefic Cores from MOTHER.
Edit: Blizzard has confirmed that you can repeatedly buy Malefic Cores from MOTHER to raise your Corruption Resistance up to the current maximum (currently 92 Corruption Resistance).

Legendary Cloak Corruption Resistance Cap Increased to 92
With the Weekly Reset on June 23rd (NA) / 24th (EU) the Legendary Cloak's Corruption Resistance will be increased to a maximum of 92. If you hit a Rank 15 Cloak and start collecting Malefic Cores this week, you are unable to catch up to players who are caught up and you will hit the cap of 125 Corruption Resistance the week after other players.
