In patch 2.3, spell damage was added to this gem. Now it's a viable alternative (in a blue slot) to the Glowing Shadow Draenite for all spellcasters, not just healers, who prioritize mp5 over stamina. To put it another way, if you don't pvp and care about mana efficiency, this might be the gem for you.
