I assumed it was a cosmetic armor set, so I bought it on my hunter. Turns out I didn't get the set when used. When I went to check on a leather class, I saw it all. Turns out the Tuskarr Trader's Leather Armor was actually a leather-only cosmetic set. Poo on me for assuming it was just a leather-themed set, and not actual leather.

Set looks awesome regardless.

If you learn this on any other armour class except leather, you won't be able to see or use it.

If you log into a leather wearing class, you will be able too.

Please note, your leather wearer must be level 58 to use the transmog for this set.

I was wondering why I could not pruchase this, then realized that the UI was not displaying the required 750 Dragon Isle Supplies.

EDIT: As of patch 10.0.5, this comment is no longer relevant since the orginal issue was that the UI could only display 3 currencies as the cost, and it required 4. Since it now costs 3 currencies, it is no longer an issue.

They really should get these things in order, if I can't wear it as a mail wearer then the item should not be there for me in the first place... Cuz I just thought that they finally get us a lil bit of other types of armor mogs, turns out nope, you can buy it but can't wear it.

The Tuskarr, a people mainly made up of hunters and some shaman, get a leather set. I just don't get Blizzard. They did the same with the Frostwolves. If it so desperately HAS to be a specific armour type for whatever weird reason, it should at least be mail.

So let me get this straight, Even if you as a hunter or shammy, and likely a LW and skinner can't get this unique and beautiful set since it's leather only? Are you kidding me?

Any class can wear the Valdrakken Clothing sets, but only leather wearers can wear this set.
They don't tell you in the tool tip before purchasing, like you're just supposed to know this apparently.

Have they fixed this yet? My Hunter can wear mail, leather, and cloth gear as always. (Not that I normally would) But for some reason, we can't wear THIS leather. Is this still the case or have they patched it yet? If not, that makes no sense.

As others have noted, this is leather wearers only, but it will allow you to purchase on other armor classes.

On top of that, be careful when buying this to check that you don't already have it. The tooltip didn't say anything about it being already known, so I purchased it thinking I hadn't done so yet. Unfortunately, I apparently had snagged it on another alt, because when I tried to use the item it said the appearances were already in my collection, but I also couldn't sell it back (for a refund or gold). What a waste. The mats were not cheap, either! All the other renown ensembles say in the tooltip for me when I already know them, but for whatever reason this one does not.

I don't get it, I could see it at the merchant as a mage, I bought it as a mage but when I try to use it, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't display any error red message (like you own it already). I can't refund it, what am I suppose to do ? :(

I just purchased it with my mage. Could not unlock it because it already was in my collections? My hunter most likely did not see it listed because I already had it. It's also not refundable so fml i guess.
It has to be a leather-exclusive transmog then, because it did neither turn into seperate gear pieces I could equip, nor does it show for any of my cloth/mail/plate characters in the collectable tab.

Maybe some more info on the item itself would be useful.

The game does NOT stop you from buying this again if you've already bought it on a different character and there is no tell when you look at it in the shop if you already have it or not. I bought it again and you don't get a refund and can't use it and can't even vendor it. Yikes.

I made a hunter specifically for this set. I was going to level 'em, play them as a survival hunter so I'd be able to use the cool Tuskarr Harpoon (海象人渔夫的鱼叉) with it, get an ottuk as pet and mount, and then it doesn't let me because it's a leather set?

Blizzard, please. I just want to play my (honourary) Tuskarr hunter. Please make this usable on all armour types.
