4-27-22 PTR update: now reads - "tuning out the musical and vocal projections of those around you".

Probably blocks out the sound effects of items like 玩具火车, 航海家的滑哨, 暗月哨子, etc.

However, it does specify vocal exclamations, so it might just stop the vocal combat grunts of players/npcs around you. (Edit: Musical now too)

Would be really nice if it blocks certain mechanical mount sounds from choppers, golems, etc.

Can be purchased from the wondering Gnome with a cart (克拉格·摇塞) in Stormwind or the wondering Goblin with a cart in Orgrimmar (布雷克斯·瓶装火箭) for 45g - 50g (Thanks to stevethepotato for the info on the horde NPC).

I was hoping this toy would silence the harp toy from Bastion but alas, it doesn't.

I'll try to experiment, but does anyone know if this will drown out the other players fishing bobber noises? That'd be helpful.

After testing it out with a friend to determine what sounds are and aren't blocked by these, it seems the main use of this toy is to block out voice lines said by others who are transmorphed by the Transmorpher Beacon, barring lines made by your own character. We really couldn't find anything else of note that these earpieces blocked out.

I figured this was a new toy because I visit Orgrimmar and a few other major cities daily, and I just saw this. I can't complain though since this is an easy toy to get.

From the Patch Notes of May 5th 2023 : The toy "Earpieces of Tranquil Focus" now costs 1 copper (was 50 gold).
Developers’ notes: This toy eliminates many musical and vocal projections of characters around the player.
