Even though the stats are random I don't believe the item pieces are going to random players. Just looking at the Socket Bonus (since these are fixed on them) you know what classes/spec are getting the pieces.

Short How to: Conclave of the wind (the boss page leads to this boss)

For all bosses: The bosses have an energy bar, and at full (90), they cast their "big" ability. 3 tanks recommended (2 for 10man), 2 is possible. From now on, whenever I talk about numbers of players, Im talking about 25man numbers, for 10man, just half the amount of healers.

Nezir: Start with only having a tank, 2 healers and maybe a few dps on Nezir. He does frontal cone aoe, some frost patches on ground and stacks +frost dmg taken for everyone on the platform. When he reaches full energy, channels a blizzard, which deals damage spread around everyone on his platform.

Anshal: Start with 2 tanks, 2 healers and your ranged dps on anshal. He spawns green zones which pacify/silence and heal the boss if not moved away. Also spawns adds which are picked up by the another tank and killed by ranged. Do not stand close to these mobs as dps.

Rohash: No tank needed, just spams spells at random at players. 2 healers and melee dps on rohash at start. Avoid the tornado thingies and simply nuke.

When bosses get close to 90 energy, movement happens (make sure you move BEFOREHAND!)...

The offtank and ALL dps from Anshal jump to Nezir (adds MUST be down)
Everyone except one healer move from Rohash to Nezir

At full energy, eat the sleet storm at nezirs platform and nuke like crazy, the one healer at rohash keeps himself up with instants, and the tank/healers at anshal just chill there

After power channel is over, more movement happens...
The healers who were at Nezir at start move to Rohash and the one healer at Rohash moves to Nezir
Original Nezir tank + All original Anshal DPS moves back to anshal.
Original Rohash dps move back to Rohash.

And from there, the original situation is started again. Repeat until bosses die and make sure you kill them within one minute of each other!

Once more to make it clear...
Anshal: Tank/Healers stay, offtank/dps move to nezir and back and OT switches with Nezir tank.
Nezir: No one stays, tank to Anshal, healers to Rohash
Rohash: One healer stays, everyone else to Nezir, then all dps back and healers switch with the healers on Nezir.

Easy fight as long as no one gets confused.

This fight is pretty easy from my guilds experience. We didn't switch at all for the group on Nezir.

DK tanks can AMS right before the end of sleet storm to drop all their stacks every time -should only have 7-9 at most before you have the opportunit to drop them.

Mages and Paladins can iceblock/bubble out of it, so we used that group composition for him, and aside from the healer switching once on a later sleet storm to drop his debuff it was cake -he bubbled on the second sleet, not the first.

Strategy Guide & Video:

Below I will write a guide and demonstrate what we did in our attempts to kill this boss.

Our Group:

2 Tanks - | Paladin | Druid |
3 Healers - | Druid | Paladin | HPriest |
5 DPS - | Death Knight | Rogue | Hunter | Mage | Ele Shaman |

General Boss Information:

This encounter consists of 3 elemental lords. Anshal, Nezir and Rohash.
They each have unique abilities. Each one is based on their energy bar, which goes to 90 and is growing by 1 per second once engaged
They are each on a separate platform with wind paths used to fly back and forth from one to the other.
At 90 energy they each cast their ultimate ability, at which time you cannot leave your current platform.
They all must be simultaneously engaged.
They all must die within ~90 seconds of one another or they will Gather Strength and come back to life.

~Anshal

Anshal is the Lord of the West Wind and is on the left platform while facing Al’Akir.
Anshal uses the power of life to try and thwart his enemies.
If Anshal is not engaged, he will cast Withering Winds… resulting in a raid wipe.
Periodically throughout the fight, Anshal will cast Soothing Breeze which summons a healing circle on one of Anshal’s allies (including himself) and heals any of his allies for 20k per second and silences any raid members inside.
At 30 energy, Anshal will cast Nurture, a 5 seconds cast that summons 1 Ravenous Creeper every second. They have 125k HP and since they do an ability called Toxic Spores, (which deals damage and places a stacking DoT on anyone in range) they must be killed.
Finally, Anshal’s ultimate ability is Zephyr, an ability that heals him every second and does a stacking DPS buff to him.

~Nezir

Nezir is the Lord of the North Wind and is on the opposite platform from where you enter.
Nezir uses the power of frost to try and thwart his enemies.
If Nezir is not engaged, he will cast Chilling Winds… resulting in a raid wipe.
Periodically throughout the fight, Nezir will cast Wind Chill, which hits everyone on the platform for ~10k frost damage and increases their vulnerability to frost for 35 seconds. Stacks indefinitely.
Along with this, he will also cast Permafrost, which deals damage in a cone in front of him for 3 seconds and leaves an ice patch when he is done.
Finally, Nezir’s ultimate ability is Sleet Storm. This causes 30k damage per second to everyone on the platform. The damage is split amongst everyone there.

~Rohash

Rohash is the Lord of the East Wind and is on the right platform while facing Al’Akir.
Rohash uses the power of wind to try and thwart his enemies.
If Rohash is not engaged, he will cast Deafening Winds… resulting in a raid wipe.
Periodically, Rohash will cast Slicing Gale, which deals nature damage to a random raid member.
Along with this, Rohash will summon tornados around him. Basically preventing melee from attacking him.
At 30 energy, Rohash will begin to channel Wind Blast. When this happens, he will face an area and begin to channel this clockwise. Any players caught in the path will be knocked off the platform.
Finally, Rohash’s ultimate ability is Hurricane. It is similar to Malygos’ vortex. Deals minimal damage and must be healed through.

Overall Strategy:

This is a fairly simple encounter once you get raid positioning down.
Anshal – You will want 3-4 DPS/1 Tank/1 Healer here. The reason for the DPS is in order to kill the adds before the Ultimate. If not killed they will grow in power and overwhelm your group.
Nezir – You will only want 1 Tank/1 Healer here. He will be the last to die.
Rohash – You will want your remaining raid here. Usually 1-2 DPS/1 Healer. The reason for this is because he is the easiest of the 3. You will be able to do constant damage to him, and without adds, will die faster.
Position your raid like so, stated above.
You will remain this way and deal with each of their abilities depending on your platform. At ~80 energy you will want to prepare to switch. During the switch, have the Nezir and Anshal Tank/Healer switch platforms. (Due to the Wind Chill debuff)
You will also want all DPS to go over to Nezir until Sleet Storm is done. This is in order to split the massive damage as much as possible.
After the ultimate abilities are over. Have all DPS go back to their original positions. The switched Tank/Healer should stay there, only switching back with the next ultimate.
Rinse and repeat until Rohash is almost dead. At this time kill both Rohash and Anshal ASAP. After each is dead, everyone on that platform should go to Nezir and burn him before either of the other 2 resurrects and BOOM, you have your kill!

Tips:

Don’t be bad and this will be a very easy encounter.

Thanks a lot for the guide! It is very thorough and gives a great visualization. However, I would like to clarify something that I wasn't able to from your video.

When you say...

...is it correct that you're switching because of the Chilling Winds spell? Or did you mean the Permafrost spell?

Additionally, will their raid-wipe abilities only be used if they are not all engaged at the same time upon BEGINNING the fight?

That is, with everyone switching platforms and whatnot, there is going to be a brief period of time where one (or more, as it looks in the video) of the three mobs is not going to be attacked by anyone. Will that small window cause the raid-wipe ability to be used?

Here are several tips from things I noticed during my guild's run, some being from a healing perspective. Gravedigger has a good guide up, but I had some things I wanted to add to it to hopefully help out. I organized my thoughts into different subjects for people that might need a little help in each certain area.

Switching Platforms
- When you are preparing to jump, but it isn't quite time yet, make sure you don't get too close. We had a couple people get sucked up into the wind tunnel when they weren't ready. One time, it was the Tank. :(
- When switching platforms before an Ultimate, you want to try to have everyone jump in at the exact same time. Or as close to the same time as possible.
- If the tank leaves too soon, he may not have a healer when he drops in on the next boss. He also runs the risk of the healer/melee tanking hits from the boss before they are able to jump.
- On the same note, if he leaves too late the healer/melee WILL get hit by the boss. Be ready for it.
- On both platforms the Tank should be kiting him closer and closer to the wind tunnel to make it a shorter run to jump. But on the same note, you don't want to leave the boss right on the edge to catch the next group as they jump back over.
- Priests: Leap of Faith can become very useful. For example in Nezir, I found my tank would sometimes get trapped in by Chilling Winds when it was almost time to switch. I could Leap of Faith him over the ice, to me... and we could jump in the wind tunnel at the same time. This is really good also , because it keeps the boss toward the center of the platform when the next group comes over.
- When a priest leaves his platform, so does his lightwell. Just an FYI.

Raid Configuration
- You want at least 2 ranged for Rohash. It gives them more time to DPS because they don't have to start running for the wind tunnel until about 80 energy. A melee would have to run at about 65 or 70 to make sure he makes it.
- On Anshal melee or ranged work just fine. If you have options, you want your best burst damage on him. We put our Affliction Lock on Rohash for this reason.
- Put your worst healer on Rohash. I would imagine a healer in only half heroic gear could handle this just fine... it is not very intense. If all healers are about equal, keep your least effective group healer on Rohash.
- One healer is going to be in Nezir's Sleet Storm Ultimate twice, while another healer is only in it once. Because this is the most heal intensive part of the fight, I would suggest putting your best healer on Anshal to start out the encounter.

Balancing Your Damage
-What worked best for us was to start out with 1 dps on Rohash and 4 on Anshal. After the first Ultimate phase, we had 2 dps go back to Rohash, and only 3 go back to Anshal.
- When Anshal Died for us, we had Rohash at about 10%, and Nezir at about 40%. We left 2 DPS finishing off Rohash as the others moved onto Nezir. Once Rohash died and the others made it to Nezir's platform, we popped all our CD's for damage.
- If a DPS goes down, do not bring any less than 2 DPS back to Anshal. Otherwise you most likely will not be able to kill the adds.
- You want to kill Anshal first no matter what. With the adds he spawns, and the healing he recieves. If this means laying off dps somewhere else, it's worth it. You can always come back after the third Ultimate phase and finish it then.

Nezir
- Paladins are able to bubble, and cancle it out, to remove the stacks of Wind Chill. This can be useful to mitigate a little bit of damage toward the end of each Tank/Healer Phase. I'm not exactly sure on what the macro was our tank/healer were using, but they said it worked. They waited until about 7 stacks to cancle it out.
- Chilling Winds can cause big problems if you get caught right in the middle of it as a healer. The tank should be slowly kiting the boss around, and the healer should be moving around a bit too inbetween heals. This reduces the chances that it will spawn directly underneath you.
- Healers: Keep you tank topped off, ecspecially once the Wind Chill stacks get significate. Spike damage in the range of 50-75k is common.

Anshal
- Soothing Breeze has a slight delay from the time the boss casts it to the time it takes effect on the ground. The tank should immediately move him once he sees the cast. If done fast enough, he won't get a heal out of it.
- When Anshal begins to cast Nurture he spawns 5 Ravenous Creeper's at a 1 second interval. Before the each flower spawns you will see a grassy knoll. You can use this to get a head start on them. Melee should be on top of them before they spawn if they keep their eyes peeled.
- Do not try to AOE the Ravenous Creeper's. I'm not saying it's not possible to kill them with aoe, but it's going to be more effective to focus fire. Each time you kill one, that's less aoe damage you take. So if you take out 1 or 2 really fast, in the end you will take less damage.
- As a priest, when healing wasn't necessary, I tried to throw out a little damage at the adds. I also feared them in place (Glyphed) to effectively CC 3 of them while the dps took out the first 2. This seemed to make it a little easier on the DPS.
- Healers: When you switch over with your tank for the Ultimate (Zephyr) be on your toes. You and the tank more than likely came over with around 50-75% health anyways, so get some quick heals off, and get the tanked topped of asap. The tank will take some significant spike damage during this phase.

Rohash
- Although he is the least of your raids worries, he caused us the most wipes by far.
- DPS needs to zoom out enough to see exactly which way Rohash is facing for his Wind Blast ability. This clockwise spinning attack moves slowly, but depending on how far out you are from the boss, it could move faster than you can run.
- If Wind Blast faces directly toward you, it is best to run to the right, as long as you react quickly enough. This way you are on the right side of it when it is cast, rotating to your left.
- Healers: His Ultimate(Hurricane) does very little damage itself. What you need to avoid is the fall damage.
Priests > Leviatate. Druids > Cat Form. Paladins > Bubble. Shamans > ?.

Wind Tunnels
-Make sure you're not levitating when you jump through a wind tunnel. You will float past the platform and DIE.
-Paladins, do not bubble in a wind tunnel, you will fall.
-Make sure you run in the middle of the wind tunnel ramp. If you're on the side you run the risk of missing the next platform.

Thats all I got. A lot more than I originally intended. This was my first time trying to type up something like this, I hope it proves useful to someone.

As far as I'm aware you'll always have at least one person at the platform (unless you have perfect timing switches for Anshal and Nezir) - reasons being your dps will probably switch a few seconds before your tanks and healers switch for Anshal and Nezir and your healer will still be on Rohash's platform.

In regards to only being cast at the beginning, they will cast it at any point during the encounter if there is no one in their range.

Changes to Heroic compared to normal.

The mechanics stay the same, but everything simply deals a ridiculously more damage. All bosses and their abilities deal more damage, but the big differences...

Anshal: Toxic spores cast by adds. Instead of ticking for 1k/stack, they tick for 20k/stack. Thats right, 20 times higher than normal. You have 3 ways of dealing with this:

1. Have a designated kiter frost DK. Everytime adds spawn, DK takes aggro from all adds and kites them around the platform. On latter spawns, hungering cold -> frost nova x2 /pet nova the old adds while you pick the new ones up and continue the kiting. Also, make sure you dont plant heal ring under boss when boss is reaching 90 energy.
2. Kill the adds. Possibly with the Anshal tank taking them (veeeery risky) or having a separate offtank. Just get them down before sleet storm starts
3. Stun the adds when they are about to use Toxic Spores (and then kill them). This is a bit luck based on my experience, as the timer is not 100% accurate and varies a bit. But if the adds are stunned when toxic spore should cast, they wont gain it.

I recommend #1 option, as all it does is take one dps off the fight (who can still dps anshal a bit) and is 100% foolproof. 10-man might have some limitations.

Nezir: Nothing really changes. Same thing, but you absolutely must have most of your raid in place during sleet storm or you will die. Same goes for tank, you must reset stacks at some point, or the cone will kill you.

Rohash: Everything is pretty much instagib. Hit by Wind Blast = 95% dead. Hit by tornado = 95% dead. Also, he uses a new ability called Storm Shield (At least in 25man, dont know about 10), which absorbs damage and deals 30k/sec damage to everyone on the platform. 4 ticks is max you can eat, so make sure you have at least half of your raids dps on Rohash when shield hits.

You should be able to kill Rohash/Anshal after two or three sleet storms, just make sure Nezir is <30% once you do to safely have enough to time to kill Nezir.

Our guild just downed these last night, the encounter isn't all that hard, but we swapped tactics a few times to find one that we liked and executed well. What we ended up with was:

Balance druid / warrior tank / holy paladin on Anshal

Prot paladin / disc priest / 2x hunters / frost dk / ele shaman on Nezir

Resto shaman on Rohash

On about 40 energy, our DPS on Nezir swapped to Rohash, and DPSed him until ~80 energy. We remained on Nezir til he was at 10-15% (This usually happened at about 35-40 energy). After this, we returned to Rohash, got him low as well, and this would happen right before the second ultimate, at which point we would again go back to Nezir. We got him even lower (3-4%) and after the ultimate we all went for Anshal. This is when we popped heroism, and burned down Anshal real fast, after he died, we just returned to the other two bosses and quickly finished them off.

I guess this tactic requires quite a lot of switching, but we kill them off before the third ultimate.

Our balance druid stayed on Anshal all the fight, part from when he came to Nezir (to share ult dmg) and when he was dead, obviously. We found him to be the most efficient on killing adds, and he had them down every time they reached 80 energy. It also helped as he could toss our priest innervates.

DK add kiters on heroic:

- Use 迅捷药水 for emergencies
- Avoid having a Soothing Breeze circle cast anywhere near the middle of the platform before Zephyr (90 energy), as he grows in size his hitbox also grows, so he will start healing from it if it's anywhere near the middle when he ports there to cast
- Hungering cold adds either right before Nurture, or right before the first Toxic Spores cast so it doesn't go off if you don't have a mage assisting you.
- You can AMS toxic spores and it will absorb the entire cast of all adds, as the application of the debuff itself does no damage so AMS won't break early
- Hit Anshal with blood/frost strikes as you can to gain death runes for more howling blasts, especially before Nurture (won't be an issue in 4.1, but is an issue now in 4.0.6)
- Don't rocket boots unless you have no choice and will die otherwise - if they fail you lose aggro on all adds, wiping your platform and thus your raid
- Don't go near the bottom of the stairs on platforms while kiting, being ported to another platform will wipe aggro on all adds, wiping your raid

We have a prot paladin, and a holy paladin, which allows us to utilize a strategy for 10 man that requires less tank switching. Dps will still switch a moderate amount, but timing for that is often times a little more lax.

1 healer and 1 ranged, (or 2 ranged with good self healing, depending on your comp and strength of your players) go to Rohash, For the most part they will never need to leave this platform.

1 paladin tank, 1 paladin healer, all other dps on Nezir to start.

1 tank, 1 healer on Anshal.

We put all dps on Nezir at the very beginning, as he has the most health to burn through. Also, we don't actually need them on Anshal until the adds spawn, which is at about 30 energy. When the adds spawn, all dps from Nezir switch to Anshal's platform and stay there until it is time to switch for the second ultimate.

This leaves the 2 paladins on Nezir's platform. When the bosses begin their ultimates both paladins bubble, removing the wind chill debuff and making them immune to over half of the sleet storm. With good healing and use of cooldowns, neither paladin should have any problem surviving the remaining few seconds of sleet storm's damage.

The main dps group remains on Anshal's platform until the second wave of adds are all dead, at which point everyone from Anshal's platform switches with everyone from Nezir's platform. Pop cooldowns and burn Nezir. By the third wave of Anshall adds we usually have Nezir pretty low, and Anshal has already been low but will heal up a bit from his ultimate ability.

At this point it's just a matter of checking to see where the dps is needed and adapting. You can split dps at this point, sending one to Rohash to help if needed, leave one at Nezir to finish him, while the rest go to kill adds. More group switching may be required, it really just depends on who you can finish before the third ultimate.

From a Disc priest:

Nezir is probably the most challenging boss to heal in this encounter. The good news is that his damaging abilities are very regular in their timing, so your cool-downs can be easily coordinated with the tank's. Tricks to keep people alive are:
1) Use a renew on yourself when he does the small aoe. You only need a heal yourself a bit, but you can't take your attention off of the tank for long, and you must be at full as much as possible for his ultimate/ice patches.
2) Make sure you have a fresh shield+prayer of mending+penance for the ice breath, then spam greater heal.
3) Be prepared to leap of faith if the tank delays getting out of the ice patch for even a second.
4) You should only have to heal one or, worst case, two ultimates. I would save my divine hymn for the ultimate and, right before casting it, throw a PW:B down on top of him after he warps to the middle of the room. These two will, essentially, negate the ultimate (combined with some Prayer of Healing spam--make sure you are in a "party" with your tank and three of the four dps who will be on this boss and Anshal).
5) Finally, make sure that the other healer is doing their best to send you people from Anshal's platform at full health. Half-dead people will probably be all dead after the ultimate. Spam PW:S on the really low ones as Nezir begins to warp and channel.

Our guild had first raid in Throne yesterday and I think I need little help in here.

Problem seemed to be while switching platforms. Healers told they got silenced. Is there anything we can do about it or what makes silence?

Couldn't help but notice; I was tanking Nezir during the ultimate, the dps went off back to Anshal as he was on ~20% to get him down, I was nuking Nezir down on my own as Nezir was only on 200k, but he started to cast his "Gather Strength" already on 50-100k HP, meaning 5 seconds before he really died. Same applies to Magmaw on heroic mode, dying on like 1%.

Now working on these guys on heroic mode, we have them properly on farm on normal mode, and we've made a fairly instructional video of our farm-method to train new guildies who join for raids.
Setup: 2 tanks, 2 healers, 6 dps.
Raid splitup, movement/swapping platforms and how we actually do it is explained in the video.

Sometimes we'll go with a warlock and elemental shammie or warlock and boomkin druid on Rohash, leaving them without a proper healer. The one with most self heals will stay on Rohash's platform throughout the entire encounter. This usually cuts down the time spent on these guys substantially, as we have way more dps on Rohash that way.

Hmm. When I fought this boss we had a usual raid configuration: 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer on Anshal,
2 dps and 1 healer on Rohash, and 1 tank 1 healer on Nezir. When Rohash started gathering strength at 1 health, Anshal was still at 300k, however we moved to Nezir and killed him with Anshal still alive.

I was on Rohash, so I didnt see Anshal, but he was definitely still at more than 1 health when we killed Nezir. I was under the impression that they all had to die at the same time, so can anyone else confirm that they killed Nezir with one of the other two still alive?
