Rather than the usual cloak designs so far in Cataclysm, this one has a more banner-like shape to it. Certainly it'll be interesting to see how casting animations will look with this new design of cloak (not that they would have a separate animation to them).

As an interesting side note, this is one of the few epics sold for gold that can be disenchanted. As a result, the price of Maelstrom Crystals seems to have settled between 200g and 225g.

Edit: Well time has made a liar out of me; the crystals are now 100g per at best

Hopefully Flowing Flamewrath Cape appears in the game soon. It's very much needed.

This is by far one of the best in slot back pieces for healers as of 4.2. It's nice that you get it by rep although it really doesn't match any of the red gear which is odd since it's a "Flowing Flamewrath Cape". I would have assumed something with the word flame in it would have been red not purple.
