The stress factor for healers if your people just cannot stay out of stuff on the ground or know fight mechanix.
helps with this affix a lot. Which is probably why they nerfed it in 7.2.
yet another reason to not do the arcway.
mobs that aoe damage with a healing debuff, plus a stacking healing debuff. not fun.
Interesting mechanic but seems wildly inconsistent.
sometimes stacks would fall off out of combat below 90% HP, other times we had to be healed up before it fell off. Stacks seemed to be applied differently to different people, some people would get 1 stack others 3 if they were below 90% HP. No one of in the group was a DK, so no AMS.
5 stacks is 12% HP ever 3 seconds until cleared by getting above 90% HP.
as a healer, this is my least favorite affix.
basically it's just another affix that makes my job 100x harder while the DPS and tanks can just twiddle their thumbs.
Stacks should really drop out of combat (just like what they did to Necrotic), right now it's most efficient to get nude and healed up instantly, then re-equip. That can't be the intended playstyle.
In general this affix could need some tweaking, it's much easier for some heal classes (druids, paladins) than others (disc priest, shaman), due to how their mastery/healing works.
Just having done this in Cathedral of Eternal Night ( +7) as an 896 Holy Paladin... That 3rd boss is really really nasty if you push him as my group did the first 4 tries. You spawn the adds with the oneshot mechanic. And suddenly your tank suddenly drops and then he is dead. ( Played with a DK to partly help myself with the affix)
But this affix simply sucks for healers. Ofc I know by playing a Holy Pally I might have some extra help with dealing with the stacks. But using Sac simply sucks here. Cause if the tank do get topped the effect is useless while if he don't then you have two people with the debuff which requires you to use another cooldown....
As of 5/30/2017 this affix has been "nerfed". It still persists after combat ends however it no longer continues to grow.
Before trying any dungeons with this affix, make two equipment sets: one for your full gear and one that removes everything. Drag the icons from the equipment manager to your action bar for quick access.
If you have any grievous stacks after a fight, click the 'naked' icon to reduce your health to a tiny amount. Since the grievous damage is based on your maximum HP, it will still kill you at the same rate but any healer will be able to top you up no problem.
Just make sure they get re-equipped before anything else is pulled!
As of Patch 7.3, this tactic no longer works. You can no longer change gear while you have the debuff.
I'd like for the debuff to show in my Grid2, but when I add it like all other buffs/debuffs, it's not showing. Any one have suggestions on this?
The debuff applied is
, for those wanting to track it with an addon.
This affix has almost no effect on Blood DK, especially if you have legendary shoulders.
This afflix is particularly nasty and unpleasant..
Such changes make the game unfair towards its players.
Looks like this is easy mode starting with Shadowlands. Rip dungeon difficulty.
