Clarification: this is a DEBUFF. I've seen friends thinking that it is actually a "good affix" because it would grant absorption shields on top of the heals. However it is a "heal absorption" effect - which means you will have to heal through this debuff to be able to heal that target again.
I...i think i've found holy priest's hell
Holy word:Serenity will become Holy word: middle finger if you misclick it.
Also, the debuff is equal to the 300% of the overhealing .
edit: goodnight sweet prince of affixes, you WILL be missed
so does this work on all Hots? as that will suck for druids.
I just did a +8 key with this.
As fury warrior i can tell you, that direct heals do the overheal.
Bloodthirst heal does not count.
Just wanted to clarify if this effects Demon Hunter's self heals? as 99% of the healing I do is overheals and this would practically just kill me, does it only effect healing classes? Similar for Death Knights, does their Death Strike count towards this?
I'm assuming they wouldn't effect us like that because it would mean we literally couldn't tank it without using our survival abilities under 50% hp.
I was afraid of this as a disc priest.. But if you watch out for shadowmend spam, you should be good.. Atonement cancels out eventually (DHT +9 story)
For the paladins out there: Your light of the martyr does NOT overflows. Beacon of virtue is kinda mixed up. I tested it and it overflowed only once on a really strong holy shock so its kinda safe to use that. Be careful about your lay on hands - if the target is high on hp and you misclick it, it will overflow for A LOT.
The debuff from the Overflowing affix is called
. Its spell ID is 221772. This can be useful for some tracking by addons, e.g. Bouquets in VuhDo.
If you are a Holy Paladin, and this Affix is active - go afk for this week :D
Having a Blood DK in your group is very good for this affix, since his own heals will cancel out the overflow automatically
Does anyone know if Inspiring Presence affects this?
Is disc priest decent for this affix?
This affix will be removed from live-servers as of p7.2.
I, personally, am a Holy Paladin main since earlier/mid-WoD and this, this demonspawn, was the most pain in the ass thing to deal with in M+ dungeons.
But, apparently, Blizzard decided to
this M+ mechanic in 7.2,
according to this link
So there we are, my fellow Light followers. We can, now, use our
without being blamed just because tank healed himself/herself a milisecond before you and got full absorb. My prayers have been finally answered.
And yes, I'm losing my @#$% at this second, thank you for asking.
Removed from game in Patch 7.2.
