you can see, this achievement will give you "Argent Champion" title.
As many would have guessed The Argent Crusade will be The Argent Dawn in Northrend. This is the same thing Blizzard did with Cenarion Circle and Cenarion Expedition. This should be easy to attain with a bit of work since at lvl 80 the main enemy will likely be Undead in Northrend and Argent Dawn rep will be extremely easy to get by just soloing Shathholme ^^
PS: Anyone else noticed how Blizzard did the whole main enemy at lvl cap thing? It went Undead (60, pre-BC, Eastern Plaguelands), Demons (70, BC, Outland) and now Undead again (80, WotLK, Northrend)
Lol, maybe in any possible expansion after WotLK they'll let you travel to Argus or the homeworld of The Burning Legion as a lvl 90 to follow the pattern of Undead, Demons, Undead, Demons :P
Such a fitting title for my Warrior.
For those interested in repping up with the AD, grind the invasion mob. Regular mobs give rep till revered, the Shadows of Doom 100 rep regardless of standing. Afterwards you can farm Strat and Scholo, don't forget your
= 50 rep for turning the quest in and a
(100 rep). Same goes for 10
The trash itself gives roughly 1 or 2 rep, bosses around 10 rep, aside from Ras Frostwhisper who gives 100 rep. Saving the hostage in Strat Undead gives 350 additional rep. Combined this'll grant you about 2/3k rep per hour.
If you're going to farm rep for the Argent Dawn on this achievement, I would suggest
going to Scholomance at all costs. Scholo is such an easy place to get lost in, and trying to avoid mobs can be quite annoying.
Stratholme, as mentioned above, would be the best place to farm rep here. On my pally, I can get 4k honor is less than an hour by just farming
, as they net 150 rep per use, including the 50 rep you get on the turn in. Doing the Baron run will net you an additional 350 rep, and a total of 6 scourgestones for killing every boss (And also 60 rep for all the bosses, except Baron).
Also, you may also want to kill
, as they both have a
and are relatively close to the entrance to Stratholme.
And for a final note, you can also attempt to farm up
, even though you probably won't get lucky... Happy undead slaying!
Just got this title, very easy to obtain. Ran UD strat solo for the AD rep, Heroics for AC rep.
Quite easy to get on a Rogue. Got Argent Crusade exalted from Honored to Exalted by doing 2 days (8 heroics each day) while wearing the tabard. Decided today to get the title, so I went to farm UD Strat. Came out with quite a few goodies. 250g or so in vendorables, Rivendare's Mount, and of course, the title.
Each run was about 25 minutes long, I would enter UD Strat from the side door, stealth through to The Unforgiven and Hearthsinger Forresten, which is 2 Corruptor's Scourgestones, (Forresten also has a chance to drop the Piccolo of Flaming Fire). I would then do the regular UD Strat timed run, including Magistrate Barthilas.
A little trick I found to make it slightly easier on classes without AoE, was to, once Ramstein came out, is aggro him and pull him back into Baron Rivendare's building, as the doors would shut and you could go straight to him.
Managed it in about 3 hours, and I got to 400 lockpicking by picking the gates here.
As of 3.0.8
Farm Stratholme for the Baron's Mount All mobs give 10 rep.
Two birds, one stone.
Got my Argent Champion title last night, as well as my Deathcharger.
Seal of Dawn really helped with those hand-in reputation items.
- Thebomb the Argent Champion (Kael'Thas US)
soloing hc zangamarsh-dungeons
Soloing? Every played who was seriously PvEing in TBC got all his chars exalted with this. Plus you can hit half of Revered by doing only Outland quests (which you not begin till you get honored by hand in the
DEHTA in Borean gives also Cenarion Exp rep for their quests.
hm, randomly this title goes good on an RPing Death Knight, a Fallen Argent Champion ;)
This title is a must have for the upcoming Argent Tournament. You can become champions of your respective cities. Why not also be the Champion of the Argent Dawn and Crusade?
Pallys (even Ret): Pull huge amount of mobs in strat, kill them all, keep valuable items, the various stones for Rep and runecloth.
Use the runecloth for the Ambassador achievement - I recommend Gnomeregan if you are Alliance, as it is the hardest to get reputation with.
I get more than 1k worth of rep in runecloth for any of my main faction, and since all undeads gives reputation in Strat now, this seems to be a very effective all-around method for reputation if you want both Argent Dawn and Main faction reputations.
This title is perfect for the Argent Tournament. Some players asks how I got the title so early on patch release ^^
I've taken the liberty of making a few sets fit for RP'ing with this title. The outfits I've selected are all vanilla-WoW-based (exept for the tabard, obviously) and go from very easily obtained (vendor/BS) to very very hard to obtain (BWL and MC raids). The weapons are interchangeable. Advised mounts are your own
if you're Alliance, and the
Swift Forsaken Warhorse
if you're Horde. Go with
Silky Spider Cape
if you want a fitting cloak.
Argent Champion sets
No one has mentioned this yet, If you complete the Baron Run in the timeframe (45mins very easy at 80) and rescue the Argent Dawn prisoner it merits an additional 300 rep.
This is not an escort, just kill the Baron and she comes out of the cage.
too bad there aren't any mobs that give Rep with the AC :(
We can clearly tell that you are lying, because obviously, you are not the only person on WoW with an achievement log. And plus, pretty much everybody knows how to get this title, or at least how to look into their achievement log to see how to get it. So please, don't post useless dumb stories on here just to get a few minutes of attention. And plus, it's not even an Argent Tournament title, it's a reputation title. Duh.
This title can be pretty easy to get. I'm just gonna farm Stratholme for hours. It might take a week or so, but spread it out a little bit. Do like 5 runs here, 5 runs there. Shouldn't take too long.
Might help to have an Argent Darn Commision on for Scourgestones to turn in for rep with the Argent Dawn.
And plus there is a nice amount of dailies for the Argent Crusade, plus you can wear a tabard in heroics too. And, if you're not a DK, you get extra reputation for them with Argent Tournament dailies.
And to DSKBfoeva,
That's just dumb. A Paladin-only title? Seriously? I have a Death Knight that's going for this title, as well as a Hunter, and a Druid, even a freaking Warlock. Please explain why you think only Paladins should get this title. You already get 2 free horse mounts from your quests, not to mention the one from the Argent Tournament, which I still think the Argent Tournament mount is just dumb, because that's just one more mount you Paladins can get, and one mount closer to the Red Dragonhawk/Blue Dragonhawk mount. Is it just me, or do you guys think Paladins get more than their fair share of extra stuff as it is? I mean you don't see a Shaman riding around on their own Kodos with cool looking totems where the drums usually are, (but man wouldn't that be pretty beasty), but really, come on, seriously.
This was fairly easy for me to do on my Death Knight. If your a class that can aoe, your in luck because that will help you alot. It took me a few days to get this title, but I went on and off of farming.
First off, you should focus on the Argent Crusade. They are much easier than the Dawn. What I recommend is to put the tabard on, and run heroics non stop. What you can also do, is complete all quests in Northrend given by people who are apart of the Argent Crusade. This part should not take you long if you do multiple dungeons every day, which is now easier thanks to the Random Dungeon Finder.
For the next part, you need to focus mainly on stratholme. As a death knight, it was easier for me to get there because of death gate, and if you are an alliance, you may become bored of the 5 min flight you have to take to get there.
When you get to Light's Hope, you should do all the quests that are non dailies first. I would not recommend doing the long chain quests, because they are.... long. But, if you do decide to do them, you get a nice reward of rep at the end. Once you have finished the quests, grab an Argent Dawn Commission, put it on, and head up to stratholme.
The first few times your here, id highly advise you completely clear the place. It will take some time, but its worth it. Loot all the bodies except for the humanoids (which means you can avoid the crusader's square if you choose to). Every 30 stacks of bone fragments or crypt fiend parts you can turn in for 250 rep. Note killing bosses gives more rep than normal trash and they give you corruptor's scourge stones which can be turned in for an Argent Dawn Valor Token, which gives 250 rep. Also random mobs may drop Invader's Scourge stone which can also be turned in as stacks of 10 for an Argent Dawn Valor Token.
As a last resort, if you get bored with farming strat, you can go down to your local auction house and buy some Crypt Fiend Parts, Dark Iron Scraps, Bone Fragments, or Core of the Elements. They can all be turned in stacks of 30 by different people in the Light's Hope Chapel for 250 rep a stack.
Last bit of information. You can farm Dark Iron Scraps in Molten Core, Black Rock Depths, UBRS, and LBRS or off of dark iron dwarves in searing gorge/burning steppes. Core of the Wild can be farmed in Ungoro Crater.
I hope this helped, I spent most of my time in Stratholme and my auction house, spent close to 1200g on the stacks, but that was just my server's economy.
Thanks for reading.
I would really love to see Blizzard revamp the classic Argent Dawn tabard, upgrade the quality and detail to be par with all the other tabards that they've released, and make it a reward for this achievement along with the title of course. What can I say? I miss the classic Argent Dawn Tabard being obtainable.
what I would really like is a remake of both stratholme and scholomance, their environments are just awesome, maybe not a remake as a 5-man but as a 10, something like what they to naxx, although I know that was a 40-man but c'mon, the scenarios and the space on them, have a lot of potential for some epic battles.
oh yeah, on topic: just farm stratholme and take the related quests from light's hope chapel, it's easy to grind 5k rep on just one run, counting the scourgestones and the rep from the kills.
I'm working on this achievement for my Mage. I have all of the Argent Dawn done and am doing the standard heroics for AC. One thing I wanted to add that makes the Strat runs so great is all the runecloth that drops. You can put in good work on your faction reps with the bags and bags of runecloth. I was able to finish off the Ambassador title while working on the Argent Dawn which in turn is essential for the 50 mount achievement. Really a can't miss proposition for all your achivement needs to go blow up Stratholme a few times.
Argent Dawn rep can be farmed by running thru Stratholme, various quests at Light's Hope chapel in Eastern Plaguelands, and Scourgestone turn-in's, by using the Argent Dawn Commision.
Argent Crusade rep is easily farmed by wearing the Argent Crusade tabard while doing Heroic WotLK instances and by doing quests throughout Northrend.
I'd say, if you're going after the <Argent Champion> title, start with Argent Crusade first. Run Heroics wearing the Argent Crusade tabard. Argent Crusade quartermaster is located just NE of Dalaran in Icecrown. With just a few completed Heroics, you'll get to Exalted very quickly.
After Exalted, head to the Eastern Plaguelands and get ready to do either turn-ins or Stratholme runs. I personally did turn-ins to get as close as i could to exalted, since while doing other things, i usually have ALOT of the items needed. Dark Iron Scraps seems to be my biggest use. Cheap on AH, easily farmed from BRD/BRS. Running Stratholme undead side nets quite a nice chunk of rep per run, easily cleared in ~20 min. With 3-4 runs/resets an hour, you'll be at Exalted in no time.
I got this a while back. I was showing my friend all my titles, and my title is gone. :(
Working on getting this title on my 3rd char now, and most of what I did to get Argent Dawn rep, was to do full runs of Stratholme. My tips:
- Empty your inventory.
- Get an Argent Dawn Comission (a trinket).
- Pick up all possible quests regarding Stratholme (obviously).
- Go inside Stratholme and kill all undead mobs you come across, as well as rare mobs (Hearthsinger Forresten, Skul ). The bosses drop Corruptor's Scourgestones, wheras the other undead mobs (elite and non-elite) drop Minion's and Invader's Scourgestones.
- If you went in the main entrance, head straight, go left and then another left. Kill the Courier, and loot him. He has keys, to postboxes in the instance. Open these, and eventually the Postmaster will come. He's a boss too:D
- Possible, but not advisable: Kill the bosses within the Scarlet part. Non-elite undead mobs will spawn and kill scarlet crusaders (if there are any alive). Killing the non-elites is a chance of more Scourgestones.
If you've got the key, you could go Scholomance as well. It's the same as Strath - Scourgestones, rep from killing mobs, but (not confirmed), I believe Scholo got more bosses than Strath, thus more Corruptor's Scourgestones.
Kill, loot, reset. Take a break when you want to kill yourself from boredom and/or smash you PC.
And, I have yet to see the purple horise drop. QQ
Good luck, and have fun (not in Strath, for Strath isn't fun)!
Got that Title after LOOOOOOOOOOOONG farming in strathholme and questing
if u wish to farm for the mount and grind ad rep then there is no need to do a full clear. kill only the necessary bosses and avoid as many mobs as possible. by the time you get lucky enough to loot the mount you will most likely be exalted. i ran it without a commission enough times to get to honored then got the commission and started looting only corrupter's scourge stones and blue and green items. im now exalted with ad have the title and made around 400 g, but still no mount :(. i personally see no reason to kill unnecessary bosses or mobs if ur still going to be running the place long after your exalted.
Since 4.0.3 Stratholme & Scholomance mobs don't give Argent Dawn reputation any more.
The quests inside Scholo don't give rep either.
If any has a way to lvl the rep it would be appreciated !
Very attractive title indeed, with cataclysm they made the Crusade rep availeble from Eastern Plaguelands and not only Northrend. Therefore it's alot easier to get the title for players under lvl 80.
Im getting this title to my 70 twink and it will be a nice addition to my title collection.
Followed advice by lommie regarding Argent Dawn rep and did all the quests in Eastern Plaguelands for Crusade rep. When i done all the quests in Eastern i farmed hc's with my friends to get jp for purchasing
I am now at 17K/21K off Exalted
To raise your Argent Dawn reputation in Cataclysm you need to complete the first part of the "Visitors" chain, up to the part where Fiona sends you back to Light's Hope for the quest Boys Will Be Boys.
After you complete the quest Argent Call: The Trial of the Crypt you will be offered two follow up quests, both are repeatable and both worth 2000 Argent Dawn rep each:
- Annals of the Silver Hand
- Aberrations of Bone
Simplest way to gain rep from there is to clear Strat Live (not so live anymore..?) and complete the Annals of Silver Hand quest 11 times. You don't even need to reset the instance each time, just run through the cleared instance 10 more times, fly back to LHC to turn in, and repeat. Using the LFD tool would be even better, if you can keep the completed instance open long enough.
Important things Iommie didn't mention is Argent Call: The Trial of the Crypt completion instantly grants you Revered with Argent Dawn plus more reputation based on your passive reputation gain (
5%, 10% guild perks +
human racial). Complete 9-11 repeatedable quests (also affected by reputation gain) = exalted. Also, the reason why you don't have to reset is the book is on a table, doesn't drop from a boss, but is unique.
Argent Dawn rep is a joke now.
From 0 to exalted, couldn't take you more than 3 hours tops.
It should be noted that the achievement requires the reps to be exalted on that character rather than to the have the achievements for being exalted across any characters like most metas do now. I got Argent Crusade maxed on my mage and decided that I could grind Argent Dawn on my shaman cause Ghostwolf + Spirit Walk + Nitro Boosts + Two Hearthstones = fast farm. I was wrong.
Grinded this today on my Human Paladin and I may be able to speed things up for fellow 120's looking to also grind out the Argent Dawn rep part.
This is assuming you've completed
and are currently revered with Argent Dawn.
at Light's Hope Chapel (LHC) gives both of the following quests:
, for Stratholme and Scholomance respectively.
Average flight time from LHC to Strat:
Average flight time from LHC to Scholo:
Average run time to run Strat (entrance to entrance, going through the rat gauntlet shortcut):
Average run time to run Scholo (entrance to entrance, including summoning & killing Rattlegore)
Total average run time for Strat:
Total average run time for Scholo:
While Scholo IS the quicker run, I would highly advise doing both each time, but to each their own.
