Quite possibly named after our favourite 21st century sci-fi/fantasy series, "
A Song of Ice and Fire
." Haven't read it? You've got until WoD open beta to catch up! :-)
Possibly a reference to 300. The Persian messenger demands a symbolic "gift of earth and water" from Sparta as a sign of their submission. (You know the scene:
Not easy achievment. When u engage ogre he'll spam 2 adds - fire and earth elemental. You need to kill the boss w/ those 2 adds alive. We do this simply w/ 2 tanks, 1 healer and 2 RDPS. you kill ogre and OT go for adds. When the boss enter, you can pop BL or wait few secs and then pop - depends on your DPS. Just nuke the boss asap and be sure to interupt elementals and also don't forget about little adds - nuke them fast. Also be sure to avoid flame circles and spikes on ground. I had to kite the boss because we were taking way too much dmg, but we done this on 1st attempt and w/ decent geared people it's really simple (we had around 620 ilvl).
Good luck guys!
This achievement is very self-explanatory.

Interesting...didn't get the achievement on mythic difficulty despite not doing any damage to adds. I had the same issue with a similar achievement on the 3rd boss of Auchindoun. Other achivements seem to work fine on mythic so it is a little odd. Will come through again on Heroic difficulty later since it seems you can only be on that difficulty.
PS: Yes, I know the achieve says you have to be on Heroic but usually with these things a higher difficulty also lets you complete them.
If your attempting to do this achievement at 110 be forewarned that you have to dps Forgemaster Gog'duh slowly so he can summon both adds before killing him! If both adds are not up because you killed the Forgemaster too quickly when Magmolatus dies you wont get credit.
To earn this achievement you have to visit

boss. Deal some damage to the boss, he will summon Calamity and Ruination mobs, keep them alive. Boss will release Magmolatus then, you have to defeat while Calamity and Ruination alive.
Achievement is a part of
Make sure to do this on Heroic. I tested mythic and it is a no go for this achievement.
easy solo in legion
don't use AoE abilities
I'm just gonna throw in my 2 cents- it's definitely buggy. I made darn sure I was in Heroic, and both were alive when I downed Magmo- no achievement. Guess I'll try tomorrow.
Came back next day and it worked just fine, just fyi, if it bugs on you, just do it again.
Easy for Battle for Azeroth 120 solo and beyond...
1. Attack Forgemaster Gog'duh but with your weakest attack.
2. He will spawn Ruination, do not attack or kill add.
3. Attack Forgemaster Gog'duh ever so slightly.
4. He will spawn Calamity, do not attack or kill adds.
5. Do not kill the adds.
6. Kill Forgemaster Gog'duh, do not attack or kill adds.
7. Kill Magmolatus while both Ruination and Calamity are alive.
9. Achievement Complete.
as a 120 rogue i found it necessary to get naked ... took no damage, punched things to death.
You must punch the first guy a couple times to get the fire elemental. then punch your way to victory
It's very easy to do this at 120 with
at your side, he will engage and slowly attack the boss, so you only need to wait until both adds are spawned and then kill Forgemaster and Magmolatus.
Using Croman is a good idea. Even if you already have him as a follower he can still be picked up as a fighting buddy in the dungeon. He will match the level of your toon, at 120 he has 130k hp but still doesn't do much damage to the boss. He does go bonkers on all trash on the way so be prepared to take it all on. Also, just before you enter the boss room if you go to the left of the fire in the centre Croman will stop moving. There is an ogre suspended from a lift above his head and he will agro him even though he can't reach him.
Make sure you stand well back so that when Ruination and Calamity spawn they will come to you and Croman doesn't start attacking them. I also noticed if I just waited for Croman to dps the boss down so Calamity is spawned, the damage is so slow that Magmolatus gets impatient and enters the fight before Calamity has made an appearance. On the second attempt I unequipped my weapon and punched the boss until both had spawned and then used spells to finish it off (being careful not to use any aoe).
If anything goes wrong and spoils the chance of success just run out of the area to reset the boss.
