It seems to me the best option may be having Fraya assist since she drops sanity wells to keep ur group from not being MCed.

Did this today we had thorim as the keeper and after like 2 hours of whiping we got the achivement!
sanity was not that big of a problem so i think the best keeper to have is the one we had up

Here's what my group did tonite. Overall, this achievement took literally four pulls to do. The only keeper we used was Thorim - he helps to kill the adds in Phase 3, making the fight only a moderately more-difficult version of the normal mode fight.
Group build:
Tanks:
Protection paladin
Feral druid (in dps gear)
Healers:
Disc priest
Resto druid
Resto shaman
DPS:
Blood DK
Unholy DK
Combat rogue
Survival hunter
Shadow priest
Phase 1, we didn't proc any additional clouds to speed up the add spawning. We just let the adds spawn naturally and only had one add (which quickly died) heading into Phase 2. Odds are, if you're trying to do this achievement you already know not to touch the clouds so I won't get into that.
Phase 2, we put a mark over one of the melee dps and over one of the ranged dps - as "focal" points for the raid to group on, as well as focal points for raid dps. The group as a whole stayed fairly tight on top of each other, so that cleanses, heals, brain links, and everything were much easier to manage. The melee group only moved to kill corrupter tentacles so long as they were within cleanse/heal range of the rest of the group - that way if they got brain linked, it wouldn't be hard to negate it. We didn't have either of the tanks "jousting" on the crusher tentacles, but if your group wants to do this, they can.
When it came to the brain phases, we sent the rogue, the two DK's, and the feral druid down. The unholy DK and the feral druid went left (and rotated clockwise) around the brain room, while the blood DK and rogue went right. Killing the adds pretty quickly usually gives you about 35 seconds to reach the brain - and realistally, about 20-25 seconds to dps the brain itself. You already know to kill the brain quickly - we did it in three brain phases. I'd recommend, if you can spare it, to send a hunter down for Aspect of the Pack to speed up the run into the brain room proper.
Phase 3, the entire group clumped together fairly tight on one side of the room. We let the Immortal guardians come to us. The melee killed the guardians while the ranged stayed on Yogg-Saron for the majority of the fight. Be careful with Immortal guardian aggro, though - it can be a tad touchy for the first second or so, and we lost three people to bad Immortal Guardian spawns. We had to use both of our battle rezzes, as well as one ghoul rez, but we still got the kill pretty smoothly.
Just have your ranged dps turn their backs about 1 second before the Gaze cooldown is up, and never have your melee, healers, or tanks face Yogg-Saron. Splash any damage you can on Yogg-Saron as melee dps - this means Consecration, Fan of Knives, Pestilence (plus diseases) and the like.
Overall, this isn't nearly as difficult as Firefighter is. Good luck everyone.
Edit: apparently, some jerk came running through here and downranked every comment made on this achievement so far. Even the ones with pertinent and useful information.

Note that you do not lose Sanity below 30 except to Lunatic Gaze, so even very bad RNG will not affect you beyond a certain point if you are careful. If everyone is turning around a second or two before Lunatic Gaze, Yogg is pretty easymode.

Is there a good way for a feral druid to position oneself so that swipe hits Yogg without risking sanity loss?
My guild has this fight down pretty well and are slowly working towards 1 light, but with sanity being a bigger deal in 1 keeper will I have to be strictly on add control?

we did this a few days ago, and well its not that hard but not that easy
raid setup
- Dk blood tank
- Feral Druid (half tank)
- 2 Elemental Shamys
- Fire mage
- Pew-Pewkin
- Dk Unholy
- Disc Priest
- Holy paladin
- Resto Druid
we did use thorim guardian for the fight to help manage the fase 3 adds
In fase 1 we let the dk tank stand in the middle avoiding clouds and taunting the guardians as they spawn, the rest of the raid spread in a semi circle avoiding cluods and dpsing the guardians as they spowned, our dk tank said that he would be very very happy if the had 2p bonus from t9, hell he's right
as fase 2 started we tryed to nuke crushers very fast, we can get some time to clean the room from the anoying corruptors, when somebody gets caught by a constrictor we had mele dps and a designated caster to help him out, when portals fases pop up we make sure to send the portal team with abolish spells up, so if they get caught by something hopping not a constrictor or a apathy debuf, they will get cleansed in the way down, our portal team was the feral druid both dks and a elemental shamy, we send down the tank because we wanted to save him as much as sanity as possible, and the shamy for heroism on the brain which almost let them blow 50% of the brain HP in one portal fase.
it is important to manage malady debuff in the raid at all times it cant spread or it will become a sanity mayor problem, this is solved by a good comunication over ventrilo
we as i think where kind of luky in blowing the brain in two fases, we had to use a 3rd to clean the corruptors before fase3
in fase 3 we let the dk tank pick every add as they spowned and the mele dps burned themdown, the feral druid helped taunting any out of control add if necesary, this is most a phase of control than dps, we had 4 and a half minutes to do it, so dont panic save sanity and only dps while the chaneling is on cd, dont risk any loss of sanity and he is dead ;)
nice fight took almost all of our concentration to do the last fase
have fun ;3

Edit: Wow, is it really that long time ago? I can't even comprehend how much have changed since then. According to wowhead, it seems that you can still complete Glory of the Ulduar Raider
Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10 player)
, but I guess you can roflstomp through the achivements with +2 level 90'ties.
From whats it worth, here is how we did it.
Raid composition:
Retribution paladin
Affliction warlock
Shadow priest
Protection paladin
Feral druid as dps/OT
2 x restoration druids
Restoration/Elemental shaman
2 x rogues
Thorim was our keeper as we believed his ability was key to survive phase 3 (
Titanic Storm
)
Im not going into details as I assume people know what this fight is about when engaging this archievement.
The first ~10 wipes we realized a few things:
Phase 1
Our 2 trees where capable of healing everything, so our shaman went elemental, which made the encounter more smooth and allowed us to spawn an extra add like we are used to in the beginning.
Phase 2
Yogg + 1 keeper (Thorim) is not as forgiving as 4 keepers since you can't replenish sanity, run slower, do less damage to adds/brain/Yogg and you recieve more damage -
RNG
plays a big part of your sanity loss.
Although rare, out of numerous tries some of our players got
Psychosis
2- 3 times in a row.
As much as possible, we moved in a group and kept 2-3 yards between raid members, this makes it easier if people are Brainlinked, Deathcoiled, get curses etc.
Remember, if someone is Deathcoiled, get away from him because it chains to people nearby. If you use
Deadly Boss Mod
the person gets a skull above head.
Our protection paladins job was to locate the crusher tentacle every time new one spawned, we didn't find it nessecary to interrupt it. Ranged killed it while whole raid followed him around. Melee killed the constrictors and corruptors in between, constrictors being first priority since they grab people.
Our brain team was retribution paladin, feral druid and the 2 rouges and each of us had assigned our own portal, this is imperative because if you take each others portals, you might not have time to reach another before it despawns. You should aim for atleast 3 times in brain to beat enrage timer so
every
member of the brain team have to enter.
Personally I used the entrance gate to locate my assigned portal for easy access.
Feral + pally to the left in room and rogues to the right which worked fine for us.
Important!
Do not enter brain if you have
Curse of Doom
unless you have a decurse capable class with you like our feral druid. If you dont, then either wait for a dispell or bubble + cloak of shadows out of it before you enter. Our 2 trees outside couldn't dispell us inside brain and it will be instant death.
Phase 3
We all gathered at our protection paladin while he grabbed adds as they came for us. Shadowpriest and Warlock kept their backs to Yogg all the time and dotted him up while melee were hammering the adds.
I'm the retribution paladin and I realised quickly that our dps on adds was great so I used most of the time
judgeing
Yogg, doing
Consecration
and
Divine Storm
to help damage Yogg, this worked nicely since all can damage from behind.
So how did it go and tips
Untill we perfected the above we used 3 hours before the actual kill, the hardest part was getting phase 2 under control and people grabbing each others portals in the chaos.
It worked with 4 dps as brainteam, but maybe 3 dps and 1 healer would do the same trick - its up to you to find out in your own raid.
From a retribution paladin point of view, I did my best to dps but also to support my raid:
Extra adds is really not a problem, but doing this achievement it can be. So we kept melee from adds and only let our ranged deal with the adds, but:
- while we were dodging clouds in phase 1, I judged
Judgement of Light
for extra healing support
- I used
Exorsism
and
Hammer of Wrath
whenever I could on adds in phase 1.
- You can
Divine Shield
out of Constrictor Tentacle (mages can
Ice Block
)
- Dont hesitate to use
Divine Shield
+
Divine Sacrifice
if you are stuck in a Constrictor Tentacle and noone is near to help you (this never happends ofcourse :D ) or you see raid taking heavy damage.
-
Lay on Hands
; use it! whether its on yourself or fellow raider.
GL to all.

We attempted this finally and it didn't seem too bad.
Group Comp - 1 tank, 2 heals, 7 dps.
Phase 1 is pretty simple, don't stand in the clouds and kill the adds. Having someone constantly interupting dark volley will save you alot of wipes as 1 person getting 2 of Sara's debuff + dark volley can kill them, we made our enhance shammy do it at range with wind shear.
Note - you cannot Lose any sanity in phase 1.
Phase 2 - this is what will make or break your attempt. Your group needs to stay together to make brain links and constrictor tentacles easier to deal with. Also assign portals for each of your portal people to take so other don't take the wrong portal and leave someone stranded. Efficiency in the brain room is a must. The faster the brain room is cleared the faster the tentacle and Sara will be stunned and the less your outside group will have to deal with and the more Sanity you will have for phase 3.
Note - this is where you'll take the most sanity loss, efficiency in phase 2 is key to this encounter.
Phase 3 - Tank picks up the guardians as soon as they spawn, the tank must be on his game as the first one spawn right as P3 starts and if hes not paying attention it will kill someone. Assign people to kill the guardians and if you kept Thorim as your keeper he will kill them when they get low. Also Yogg will do his
Lunatic Gaze
, you must pre-emptivly turn away from the gaze.
Note - the only way to lose Sanity in phase 3 is by looking at
Lunatic Gaze
it is a must to turn away from it before he casts it because even looking at it for 1 second each time he casts it will slowly drain your sanity and you will probably cause your group to wipe.
One last thing - His enrage timer is 15 minutes, so take your time and do things right.
For example - on one attempt a tentacle spawned on the opposite side of Yogg to where we were in P2, our mage decided to blink ahead of the group and start killing it and guess what happened. He got brain linked to our boomkin who was still with the group on the otherside of the room and then the boomkin got grabbed by the tentacle, so this mage single handedly caused a wipe for us on that attempt just by blinking ahead to kill the tentacle.
Good luck with your kills.

Gonna do this tomorrow ^^
Hope we'll make it, I'll give you guys an update how it went :D
Edit: This fight was without a doubt harder than Lich King 10 player.. We're all professional geared and still had a 2hour fight.
Phase 1 was pretty simple. at our first attempt we thought we could summon multiple guardians at once, but even with ICC heroic gear we wiped pretty fast and end up doing them 1 at a time. Just avoid the clouds.
Phase 2 was the hardest part. We went randomly in a partal and downed the brain in 2 brain portal runs, don't know what the outside group did all the time since I was in yogg every run. Sanity as a big problem here, specially with all those skulls
Phase 3 was a cake. Just keep those immortals down and nuke yogg

At first our group attempted this achievement with five players (at level 85):
1 Resto Druid
1 Feral Druid
1 Frost Death-Knight
1 Arcane Mage
1 Protection Paladin
I wouldn't recommend running this achievement with only five players. Although its possible, its quite difficult as finding the right balance and having luck is hard to do. If you try to push to phase 3 in one set of portals, you'll be stuck with too many tentacles on the outside, not to mention that the two players stuck outside will suffer heavy sanity loss. Also, if you choose to play it safe and have a third player outside, you'll most likely have to go through two sets of portals, making the sanity loss between the three players greater, as they have to stand out longer. Though with three players outside, tentacles will not a be problem.
Our next group setup added a Shadow Priest. Having the extra dps is the key to phase 2. With 3 DPS in the portals you can push from phase 2 to 3 in one set of portals, making the sanity loss in phase 2 minimal. Plus you'll have an extra DPS outside, making the control of the phase much easier, as you can down tentacles much easier without being overwhelmed. Not to mention that the abilities cast by Sara in phase 2 will be spread out between three players, not two, minimizing sanity loss between the three players.
As far as phase three goes, you must avoid the lunatic gaze, it will deplete you off all of your remaining sanity very quickly. I ended up not being able to fight much of the last 30 seconds as I was stuck at one sanity. Also, the adds will be taken care of just fine with your tank but if you really want, you can put a dps on the adds as well. In short, if you make it to phase three with at least 10 sanity. You'll most likely down it. Just don't be stupid and try to outdo yourself. There's no hurry here. Be methodical, turn around for the gaze a second or two early. You have plenty of time to make the enrage timer, even the seven minute kill achievement.

Did this with three players after a few tries. Surv Hunter (383), Resto Shaman (381), Blood DK in dps gear (390). Was pretty easy.
Phase 1 was a joke. Phase 2 was the hardest as the hunter and shaman weren't that familiar with the fight and the portals take awhile to spawn (they were busy losing a lot of sanity during this). We all went down and blew up the brain in one shot then ported out and cleaned up the remaining crusher and smaller tentacle, and then coasted through phase 3.

Soloable as feral druid (397, head and chest pieces 410), tank spec. Freya helps with ILOTP.
Phase 1, run in, pop 1-2 clouds so that you get enough down from the swipe and thrash AOE before you are overrun. You can ignore the spells since she's eventually cast the spell that heals you for a tons on you.
Phase 2, kill the constrictor that will always spawn on you and get the corrupters down. Don't worry about the crushers, the debuffs hurt you a lot more than the DPS loss. Once all corrupters are down, go cat form and DPS down the crushers. When portals open, go in, put a Rejuv and a Lifebloom on you, and get the yellow mobs down. Pop berserk, trinkets and DPS the brain as much as you can. In the meantiem, our warlock got down the tentacles outside. Shaman provided some extra healing and blew bloodlust when we were on the brain. Hunter kept his pet on the brain for some extra DPS. When you hit 30%, phase 3 starts.
This is where your DPS really matters. Stay in cat form (which you should for brain anyway), and get a shred, rake and rip on the boss. Doesn't matter if your sanity gets low, you still have the wells from Freya. The immoral guardians will become more and more so time is of the essence. Do not focus dealing too much damage on them, just nuke the boss and get that achievement of yours.
Hope that helped someoen.

Duoed with Windwalker Monk ilvl 467 and Arcane Mage 457.
Running with 2 DPS meant we would need to burn the brain down quick in p2 and Yogg quick in p3. Thorim didn't seem like the best option with this setup, so we went with Freya.
Got it on our fifth attempt.
P1
Didn't use any big CDs here.
-
Monk
stood mid and
Provoked
the mobs toward Sara.
Rising Sun Kick
practically one shot them. Kept
Zen Sphere
up which kept health at 100%.
-
Mage
used standard DPS abilites after the mob was positioned.
Arcane Barrage
>
Arcane Blast
>
Arcane Missiles
.
P2 - Exterior, Yogg
Didn't blow any CDs here either.
Immediately after Sara despawned the green clouds, we moved to the 9 o'clock position outside of the pool. This kept us close to one of Freya's wells, and also close enough to enter a portal when it spawned.
-
Monk
used
Spinning Crane Kick
to get out of
Constrictors
, kept
Sanity
up, and entered portal with 75+
Sanity
.
-
Mage
killed Corruptor tentacles. Can
Ice Block
out of Constrictors. Decurse
Curse of Doom
Ignore
Crushers
unless they spawn in an unlucky location.
P2 - Interior, Yogg
Both Mage and Monk went in portals. Continued to save CDs. Worked towards getting the Brain down on our first run inside. On our previous attempts, the amount of debuffs that stacked on us after we exited were a nightmare.
-
Monk
hit Roll and ran counter-clockwise using
Momentum
+
Glyph of Spinning Crane Kick
to plow through baddies.
-
Mage
ran clockwise and used her instant casts.
Fire Blast
,
PoM
+
Arcane Blast
,
Arcane Barrage
, etc.
P2 - Brain
CDs? Save em!
-
Monk
stacked
Tiger Power
and then
Rising Sun Kick
.
Tigereye Brew
was at 9/10 stacks. Popped it, then Rising Kicked for the debuff and used
Fists of Fury
. Normal rotation afterwards
Fists of Fury
>
Rising Sun Kick
>
Blackout Kick
.
-
Mage
casted
Arcane Barrage
until it got to 6 stacks and went through normal arcane rotation.
P3
Blow the big CDs. Bite the bullet: face Yogg and risk the Sanity loss. DPS burn is key, and focus fire unless you're getting something off your partner.
-
Mage
popped
Time Warp
, used
Mirror Images
,
Trinket
and nuked Yogg.
-
Monk
waited for
Time Warp
and then summoned
Xuen
, refreshed
Tiger Power
, and kept adds off Mage with
Spinning Crane Kick
. Saved
Touch of Karma
until I was tanking 3 Immortals, and only used
Fortifying Brew
to boost my
Touch of Death
for the KB.
Yielded 6 achievements for the new Monk toon.

When trying to decide which
one
Keeper to ask for assistance, it's helpful to know what each Keeper would bring to the table:
Mimiron

Freya
自然之韧
理智之井
- Note: This is the only way to regain Sanity during the encounter
Thorim
风暴之怒
泰坦风暴

Solo'd as a 500-ish ilevel moonkin with Freya up. Constrictors were annoying - but some pre-planted shrooms did the trick and allowed me to break out immediately (key for getting Corruptors down fast). Afterwards it's just a matter of a smooth P2 and avoiding post-brain stun debuff RNG and blowing all CD's ion phase three. Not having a disease dispel really bites (I died several times due to stunlock in P3) but with a little luck, it's doable.

So, for anyone wondering what the hell this is about, DO NOT SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE IN THE BIG CIRCLE ROOM (the bosses you killed). Because it EFFS this up, and you can't UNDO it.

This was pretty straightforward to solo in 10m as 530 Arms (I haven't tried it since doing it on a ret pally some time ago). I kept Freya. In P2, you just TClap out of Constrictors, hang out in/near a sanity well, and kill any Corruptors that are close to you. A portal will open shortly. Heroic Leap over to it and strafe/DPS to kill adds while avoiding sanity loss as normal. Do not use any CDs on the brain if you can avoid it, save them for P3 (and make sure not to use anything prematurely during the transition to P3).
Once in P3, pop all CDs and it should be over very quickly. You should be able to ignore
Lunatic Gaze
assuming you got through the brain room correctly. Have fun! This was soloed by a Fury warrior at 85 however so the real challenges would be the 25m version and/or 0 lights I suppose.

The achievement is fairly simple although I found the Yogg-Saron fight itself a bit of a pain.
For the achievement: don't click on/talk to any of the friendly defeated bosses (Freya, Mimiron, Thorim, and Hodir). Then kill Yogg-Saron.
To kill Yogg-Saron:
1. Run up to Sara. You can't attack her.
2. She will spawn adds. Kill them when they are right next to her. After a few of these she will be down to 1% health.
3. Yogg-Saron will now turn up. Don't try to DPS him, kill tentacles instead.
4. After you've killed/been grabbed by a few tentacles, portals will spawn. Click one.
5. You will be taken to a new place. Kill all the mobs there and then run to Yogg-Saron's brain. Kill it.
6. You will be taken back. Now Yogg-Saron is here and he is vulnerable. Kill him, done.
