Edit: Ok well, it seems there is a fairly high chance for the hunt to not give credit towards the achievement, since it happened to me twice in a row, and it happened to a few friends as well. If that happens, just kill the end boss again. You don't see the bonus objective nor the map event marker anymore, but killing the boss works.

Hotfixes on Dec 15 they changed it to only drop eligible loot once per week.

"The rewards from Gorged Shadehound can now be looted once a week."
