Out of all the Achievements Required for Mecha-Done to get the mount, this one will take you the longest and be most the frustrating. Completing a construction project means you have to be the person to finish the project, not just contribute to it. Some days with the smaller projects scattered around the island active will make this easier than others, however expect a lot of competition and A LOT of spare part farming.
Honestly, it does feel like this Achievement needs to have it's requirements lowered or condition changed, as it by far exceeds the investment the rest do.

Edit: As people have stated in the comments. The projects no longer require you to finish them, just contribute to them and be in proximity when it is completed to gain credit. This is a big improvement over the previous condition, however will still probably take a while.

Best way to do this achievement is in conjunction with Head Financier of Mechagon. Simply wait for the Flame Turret, Rustbolt Armory and/or Drill Rig construction projects to be up and just do rounds contributing to those projects. All these projects require fairly 'few' materials which makes them soloable and yields a lot of progress on each click. You can also benefit when Cogfrenzy is a visitor in Rustbolt, which means all construction projects are active making your life easier.

You can talk to Waren Gearhart to see what construction projects are up on a given day.

This took me most of today to complete while all construction projects were up. I had 200 energy cells and about 6k spare parts stockpiled (along with Pathfinder Part 2 completed).

Only thing I can suggest is work together with your shards community and contribute the bare minimum to projects and give a call out in /1 for others. The majority of my completions were actually about 60% drills and flame turrets with armories making up the rest.

I wouldent worry about this one. Realm hopping with flying in few months and it will go fast, or just get a few every week. You gonna farm this zone for months anyway. I have 54 atm, and just did all that I saw up as I spend time.

I completed this today. The easiest way I found was to farm the 自动烈焰炮塔 when it is a day they are up. Especially on a lower pop server late night/early morning.

They are clustered in areas of 3, only 1 of these 3 can be up at at a time. If an opposing faction puts it up it is attackable. One of the 3 will respawn in 3-5 min in my experience after it's destroyed, otherwise they seem to last until mobs destroy it. There may be a time limit but I'm not sure what it is. Just do flying rounds where they spawn.

Here was my technique:

First some information.

1 - Be a day when flame turrets are up.

2 - Note the map of where the Automated Flame Turrets can spawn, copy them into Tom Tom.

3 - The turret spawn in groups of three - there are six such groups around Mechagon.

4 - If someone of the opposite faction to you builds a turret it will be attackable and killable by you, if someone of your faction builds it, the other faction can kill it, otherwise they will despawn in 10 minutes after being built.

5 - Flame Turrets can spawn, from my experience within 1-3 minutes of despawning, regardless of how long they were active from the previous build.

6 - When a Turret dies it will pop up in one of the three possible spawn points for the area.

And how I did it.

1 - Make a macro /t Automated Flame Turret

2 - Fly to the middle of one of the groups and use the macro.

3 - If you do not find an active Flame Turret wait because one will be spawning soon.

4 - If you find a hostile Flame Turret, kill it and then wait.

5 - If you find a friendly Flame Turret you will be able to see by looking at its debuffs how much longer it will be active for, judge for yourself whether or not its worth waiting - if it was more than a minute I moved on.

6 - Travel in circles around mechagon going from group to group using this method.

I usually got one build credit every 3-5 minutes on average doing this. However there were a couple of opposite faction people also building turrets. I think this actually sped up the process, quieter or lopsided servers might be slower for this achievement.

The group in the Western Spray and the group on the western edge of the main island might be slightly too big to find a spot where you can stay still and see all three spawn points.

If you are going for the Junkyard title and are in no rush for the mount I'd probably suggest not bothering because you'll get this eventually while doing Head Financier of Mechagon

This one isn't so bad if you have the Flame Turrets construction project up. During a late night session of 3 hours I was able to get 50 projects completed doing nothing but circling the zone and activating a turrets. If you target an activated turret, you'll see how much time is left before it powers down and that's the trigger to let you know *another* one will spawn (it might be in some other place though).

If you leave yourself the entire 24 hour time window, I bet you could get the whole achievement done in that day.

The turrets are great since they're relatively cheap (100 spare parts) and you do *not* dismount on activation.

The way i did it in 8.3 patch is just to use the N'yleth, Sliver of N'zoth toy which you get from the "Servant of N'zoth" achievement
Then just contribute 3 flame turret spawn point. Build it then kill it right after you built it and go back to it again in just 2 minutes.

In an hour you should be able to build around 50-60 projects.

Use the Sliver of N'zoth toy, complete a turret, and destroy it to force spawn another. :D I just did 25 in 30 min. Bhaha!

Seems to work for the stations that you get the jetpack and gun things from too.

While the Automated flameturret locations are great, I found myself more often than not having to remove them and reload after because the actual gear icon would be obscured.

This set of waypoint, put you in the middle of the pack, so you can actually see the turret if it has spawned.

Building and killing your own 自动烈焰炮塔 via 恩莱斯，恩佐斯的裂片 (if you even had access to one) as a strategy to quickly rack up construction project completions doesn't seem to be possible anymore as of patch 9.2.5.

May have been adjusted even earlier since all comments referencing the idea pre-date Shadowlands/9.0, but the turrets remain friendly when using the toy now.

You can still kill turrets built by opposing faction though, even with war mode off, so finding a willing friend with an opposite faction character to kill your turrets/trade killing turrets is probably the way to go if you want to complete this achievement quickly.

Cross-faction grouping introduced in 9.2.5 should make this easier, though you'll still need a sizeable stockpile of 备用零件.
