Kin'garoth will from time to time summon Diabolic Bombs, that are purple Iron Stars that will explode when they reach a player, inflicting a burst of damage to the whole raid. He seems to summon, as for PTR, one before the first intermission and 4 between the others. This means you need at least 3 intermission before you complete this.... of course if you don't blow some of them by accident. To make things harder, they seems to accelerate as time pass.
This achievement isn't actually all that bad. I imagine there will be some incidents of people accidentally earning this one on messy kills where lots of people are dead and the last bit drags on.
These bombs spawn very frequently throughout the entire fight (not counting intermissions when boss is immune and you're killing robots). On Heroic, they were spawning in sets of 3 every ~20 seconds or so, and in Normal they spawn in sets of 2, and they simply rotate clockwise around the room from where they spawn.
If someone walks into them, they'll do some raid damage and despawn. Normally throughout the fight you have your offtank purposely run into them across the room to stagger the raid damage from their explosions. For this achievement, you should basically handle them normally until you're out of the last intermission phase (this will depend on your DPS) and then stop having anyone touch bombs.
Simply put, about a minute before you think the boss will die, stop running into the bombs. Might also be worth getting a few extra bombs just in case someone accidentally hits one right before the boss dies. You can also slow if the boss is about to die and you don't have enough.
We found that while we had issues with a large group (27 people) where people would run into them. We found what was easiest for us was to have melee on the very inner circle (as close to boss as possible)and ranged on the very edge of the outer ring (one footstep away from taking a nosedive off the side) and let the balls rotate in between us. Melee can get clumped with Reverberating Strikes quickly doing this, so you should have them in one group and moving as needed if necessary.
FrostyShot#1667 with any questions about the metas. (Horde-US)
I haven't test this strat yet but I think is viable to do this achiev really ez in normal or heroic:
1.- Dps the boss until under 6% (normal) or 4% heroic) and stop dps.
2.- While you are doing this last push from x% to 4-6% make sure to let balls spawn and don't kill them, you can probably have some balls (4-6) up all the time for safety and just spawn the lasts ones to have 9+ during this time.
3.- Wait for the boss to get 100% energy and start activating adds.
4.- Send your whole raid to kill one add, this will put the raid out of the ring removing any risk of somebody killing the orbs by bad movement/placement.
5.- GG Add will die and do the extra 4-6% damage to the boss and should get your achiev.
Will update if this worked when I do my run next week :)
For this achievement you will want to have your entire raid group stay in melee range of the boss and only detonate the
s that spawn in melee.
Once 9 Diabolic Bombs are active, nuke the boss and you'll get the achievement.(##RESPBREAK##)396##DELIM##Nightswifty##DELIM##
We DPS the boss to 50% then started the achievement. We soaked orbs in melee range of the boss and the middle lanes (by standing in the purple puddle to stop them spawning or soaked any that got made after) Any orbs on the outside lane that formed we left alone (range had to move closer to the boss so they didn't get bowled over). We had to be careful not to run into orbs when we had an add phase - giving way to orbs as we came back from the orb platform. Once we had 9 orbs we hero'd and burned the boss.
The Dedicated & Openraid achievement group completed this on the 3/12/17. Average ilvl of the 30M group (2T/6H/22DPS) was 940+

To make it explicitly clear, you can get this achievement with MORE than 9 bombs active. It does not need to be exactly 9, as the achievement text seems to indicate.
Is this achievement bugged now?
Tried two weeks in a row. Raid group (11 people) stacked right in front of the boss and soaked the melee orbs. We waited till we 10+ orbs to kill the boss, and both weeks nobody got the achievement.
Put in a ticket also, but as usual gm's say sorry we can't help you.
who still missing this achievement , just did it solo in LFR.
Just go Dalaran talk with
and que for Hope's End and get your achiev.
Actually got this with the LFR solo queue in Dalaran.
I did solo this as a 120 pretty easily since nothing can hurt you in this encounter, but I didn't get credit. I guess I only had 8 bombs? I came back later with 4 and we all kept count which made it pretty easy.
How to solo
pull the boss and stay in your melee range to avoid
kill the adds when they appear
check if you have 9x
kill the boss
'worlds' orbiting the boss, makes Blizzards stance on Pluto pretty obvious
Easy Solo for Level 120 Battle for Azeroth, Level 60 Shadowlands, and beyond...
1. Normal Difficulty or higher.
2. Begin Fight. Minimal damage for now.
3. Purple Balls are going to roll around the platform. Stay as tight against the boss as possible.
Do not run into purple balls.
4. Eventually boss gets shielded and you have to kill the other adds, kill them, but do not run into the purple balls doing that. Once adds dead, boss is attackable again.
5. Once you get to 9+ purple balls rolling around the platform, you are good to kill the boss.
6. Nuke Boss.
8. Profit. Achievement Completed.
Hello! We were doing Glory of Argus Raider today, as 8 people. Well, the achievement is bugged out somehow, no matter how many enough balls do you have, it just not gives you achievement, we had over 9 balls, but we didn't received achievement, we tried on Heroic, and same bug again. Then we tried on Mythic and we got it.
enabled, on Normal and Heroic it wasn't working properly, probably something is bugged out? On Mythic it was working properly...
Just leaving this note. As
the achievement is bugged. Do on
diffuculty to get your achievement!
I was able to solo this on normal difficulty extremely easily. You can just stand in on the any green floor where the balls aren't rolling and wait for the them all to spawn.
