Cenarius is dead.
Well, some believe he is still alive, but only in the Emerald Dream.

As anyone who's read the trilogy knows, Broxigar was actually able to "harm" Sargeras by hitting him with his enchanted axe.Simplest answer? Brox like all the characters in War of the Ancients, were Knaak's Sues.
As for the actual reason why there isn't hundreds upon hundreds of enchanted weapons out there..... the Night Elves haven't seen a reason for them, and Cenarius only built the Axe for Brox as most of the Night Elf weapons were ill-suited to him. And for all we know, Cenarius had some small amount of prophecy powers, and knew that the Axe was needed to help stem a massive threat; aka when Brox jumped into the portal and laid waste to a mountain of demon's, making it possible so that the orc could "cut" the demon lord.
It just doesn't seem right that they could go on for however many thousands of years knowing the weapon affected Sargeras the way it did and not have them made en masse...You realize most don't know that the Axe cut Sargeras, Brox was alone when he attacked the portal, all the allies saw was the massive green-skinned figure dive into the portal, and at some point after the Sundering, the weapon floated back onto the shore. Yes, Krasus in the guise of an orc shaman told the story of Brox, but he only told what he knew, that the mighty Broxigar stopped an army of demons coming through the portal and gave his life doing so.

TL;DR - Why aren't the people of Azeroth smarter?...lol
dramatic effect..
examples?
Why didn't harry potter stupify wormtail in
Prisoner of Azkaban
so they could bring him back to the castle?
why didn't lady sylvanas destroy Putress herself after the debacle at the wrathgate?
why doesn't thrall just knock garrosh into his
goddamn place
once into a while?
because if these things happened, then where the hell would the story go from there?

Not true.
When they were closing the portal, they needed time. Brox bought them time, but they needed one more second. To get that one second, Krasus found that Brox had cut Sargeras' leg and managed to multiply the cut so it afflicted Sargeras so much that he stopped his progress for just one second.
In that one second, the portal was closed and Sargeras was foiled.

Perhaps the
Horn Axe
could be on par with Brox's axe in power. So maybe another weapon that is powerful enough to 'cut' Sargeras is out there. Maybe this is why Illidan sought the axe.
Also, an epic death coverts Sue points into Awesome Hero points.

Yes, an axe with enough power to damage Titans would make power-hungry Demon hunter traitors try to find it :P

very good question i dont exactly know all the Lore but if Cenarius enchanted the weapon for being able to harm Sargeras then he could do so again (He is in the emerald dream)
Cenarius ain't comin' back. Hellscream killed him.

As far as
I
personaly know all the axe did it cut him and slow him down for exactly 1 second we dont know if sargares simply healed directly after the cut but was to late to continue his campain
Remember Sargares=Demon God I highly doubt the powers of a nature god who was slaughtered by 30 or so orcs could "stop" a being like Sargeras
There is a reason he is called Destroyer of Worlds XD

" Oh Garrosh where art thou?"

The Destroyer, The Fallen, The Daemon Lord, The Great Enemy of all life, The Destroyer of Worlds, The Ravager of Worlds, The Lord of the Burning LegionThose are his titles off of the wowwiki page.
And he might be stopped by a Nature God.... if it's penned by Knaak.

I think you are all a little too awed by Sargeras.
There is a concept of WoW about mortality - and immortality. All beings are very mortal. There are no Gods. The Titans - Sargeras included - can die just as easily as any other being in the world, as long as they are facing an opponent of equal strength.
This being said, Broxxigar was not so powerful that he could wound a Titan. He was lucky to do so. Do I not recall something about some mad charge, or jump, only so he can hit Sargeras? Yes, the fact that he broke the metallic skin gives credit to him and his weapon, but it was mostly the opportunity to get close to the demon lord. After all, one of Sargeras' biggest strengths is the fact that he doesn't not simply
walk into Mordor
walk around, provoking people to attack him. Aegwynn was able to defeat him - and trust me, it may look like he had designed the whole "I let you destroy my mortal body, so I can infest your very cells" thing, but in reality he was really surprised and really scared to be losing a battle against a mortal. In fact, the transfer of bodies was kind of his last minute plan.
