(( Here you are, sorry if the battle dosn't hold up to your expectations. In truth I'm trying to porgress them in detail and such little by little, untill the final battle is
epic
. Page 15))
- “We’re going to settle this once and for all, Zarrok,” Thrrag said, readying a massive battleaxe and shield for combat.
- “You die today, orc,” the demon replied and then charged at Thrrag. The shaman moved his hand over the totem that glowed a light blue. Massive winds kicked up and blew the Dreadlord into the forests of the swamp. Picking up his totems, Thrrag pursued.
- The shaman looked around the swamp; Zarrok was nowhere to be seen. “Your mind games won’t work on me, Dreadlord,” Thrrag yelled into the darkness. “Come out and face me like a true warrior.”
- A terrible demonic cry echoed through the marsh and Thrrag barely had enough time to raise his shield to defend himself. Zarrok struck again with his weapons, and again, but each time Thrrag managed to block or dodge the attack.
- The Shaman quickly threw one of his totems into the ground, the red one. He moved his hand over it and then breathed out a torrent of searing flames. The Dreadlord, though, beat his wings, causing enough of a gust to keep the flames from searing him. Thrrag switched, throwing down the green totem and moving his hand over it. The earth underneath Zarrok began to tremble, and the Dreadlord barely had enough time to jump back before a giant spike of stone shot up from the ground underneath him.
- Zarrok conjured a bolt of shadow energy and threw it at the Orc. Thrrag replied by raised a shield of earth to block it. Zarrok then began to try to pull the life essence out of Thrrag, creating a green line of demonic magic to try and entrap the Shaman. Thrrag dodged behind a tree, the demonic line struck it instead and turned the once green plant into a lifeless husk.
- Thrrag ran at the demon, his axe raised high he tried to decapitate Zarrok, but the Dreadlord used his slicers to block the attack. “Surely you do not think you can defeat me,” Zarrok said.
- “I know I can!” Thrrag roared back and kicked the Dreadlord in the crotch. The demon roared in pain and stabbed at the Orc’s heart. The attack missed its mark but cut a deep swath into the Shamans leg. Thrrag limped back, trying to gain some distance between him and the Dreadlord, but Zarrok pursued.
- “It’s time for you to die,” Zarrok said, a smug grin spreading across his face. “I will savor his moment forever.”
- “So will I,” Thrrag said and thrust his hand towards Zarrok. Combining the energies of wind and water into one powerful force he unleashed a powerful shock of frost energy. The attack struck Zarrok full in the chest and he slowly staggered backwards. Thrrag took advantage of the distraction and reclaimed his earth totem. Gripping it, he channeled the fury of the earth, causing giant hands of stone to come up and hold the Dreadlord in place, preventing any escape.
- Zarrok struggled to break free but quickly found it a futile effort and eventually gave up all together. As Thrrag approached, axe in hand, Zarrok looked up at his, but something else caught his eye. On the totems that Thrrag held were several runes. Zarrok grinned, he knew their meaning.
- “So, this explains it all then,” Zarrok said, the grin spreading, “this is how you retain your powers.” He laughed. “You think you are above my kind, but in reality you are just like-.”
- Zarrok was cut off as Thrrag decapitated him. “Let’s see you survive that, Dreadlord.” He picked up the head, and then frowned.
I should go back and help that Paladin
, he thought,
he was the one that lured Zarrok to his death. But, then again, he’s not really my problem
.
- He struggled with his conscious for a while, but finally just sighed and walked back towards his hovel.
- …
- “Is this the best you can do?” Nilon dodged a sweeping attack from Garen’s axe and then a jab from John’s spear. He jumped over the two, kicked the Undead Rogue in the face, and then rolled to a land on the ground, reclaiming his sword as he got back to his feet.
- A massive grey-white wolf – Thrrag’s companion Mistwalker – bounded out from inside of the cave and jumped at Morec. The Death Knight of the Scourge swung his runeblade and cut the beast in two. Nilon, angered by the act, released a holy spell of retribution upon Morec. The magical assault weakened its target greatly.
- Morec growled in rage as Nilon’s spell hit him. “Kill him!” he commanded of the three lesser undead. The two Death Knights rushed foreword but the third grabbed at his belt, and then lit a stick of dynamite.
- “Catch this!” he said and then tossed the explosive into the air. Nilon flinched, but managed to look up just as a ball of fire destroyed the flying explosive in mid air. Then a wave of arcane energy knocked all four of the Undead back.
- Nilon looked behind him, Celen was at the mouth of Thrrag’s cave, and Jason and Lord Scalebender were also moving into sight. Jason was ready to charge, and the two casters were readying their individual spells. Nilon grinned, then looked back to the Undead and raised his sword.
- Morec was still scowling, clearly furious with his subordinates. He pointed his sword at Nilon, the tip glowing with necromantic magic. But before he could release it a blast of earth-based energy knocked it from his grasp and canceled the spell. Everyone looked over to the attack’s source, Thrrag was walking out of the forest, Zarrok’s’ head in his left hand.
- Morec’s frown fell even further.
How is this possible
? He thought.
We are Scourge; we are superior to all others
.
- “Well, fearless leader,” Arceus murmured, “What do we do now?” Morec glared at the living, and then nodded his head. “Retreat,” he ordered. Slowly the undead fell back into the forest.
- “You win again, Paladin,” said the Lord Death Knight. “But we are as relentless as any Scourge. I will find you again, and you will die.” Morec picked his runeblade from off the ground and then disappeared into the swamp with the other undead.

Nice. Love how you cut of the dreadlord's explanation to leave us in mystery. Also, noticed two grammer mistakes I believe. Both were on the word "thought" but written as "though".

Win. Pure Win. I loved it, I could see the battle happening in my head.
So, I am presuming the rune are some sort of binding that forces the spirits to do his will, and Mistwalker can't die, he just be raised as a...Spirit Wolf!

Writer's Commentary:
- Sep and Taum figured it out, the runes
are
ment to be a way for Thrrag to control the elemental spirits, but the question still remains: why does he need those runes? Why wont the spirits talk to him? I also have to say that I don't think I could have possibly made it anymore obvious had I tried.
- On the topic of beheading Zarrok, I read somewhere on Wowwiki (I think it was the Nathrezim section, but I can't find it there) that Dreadlords have a 'rebirth cycle'. Reincarnating them whenever they die, unless it is itterupted by their death being A) Highly Tramatic or B) Caused by a source of High Magical energy. That shows why Detharoc ("torn to shreds" by Sylvanas) and Tichondrius (killed by Illidan infused with the power of the Skull of Gul'dan) havn't shown back up.
- Another score for the good guys, but will Morec really give up that easily? And what will Thrrag do now that Zarrok is dead? I know the awnser, unfortunately I'm a horrible tease.

Damn server mainatence, it's eleven where I'm at and theirs still no sign of them being up. So here's an update on Page 17: it's written and sent off for editing.
You'll get your fix Friday, as usual.
