Ideally you'll stick with

. However in terms of damage
reigns supreme, this is especially true on fights where you can achieve a high uptime of it.
Default choice in all encounters:
: You move 1% faster for 3 insanity you have. Max movement is 20% faster.
increases your movement speed by 40% for 3 seconds.
dot heals you instead of damages you when cast on yourself and also gives you 10% damage reduciton.
It's a toss up between
. Both are viable depending on what you need. The healing from
is very good for long sustained fights.
on the other hand, is good for short bursts of movement while also giving you a shield to prevent some damage. Mania is not a good talent as you'll never spend a lot of time at 100

: Reduces the cooldown of
: Allows you to maintain control of your character while using
The choice here doesn't really matter. The stun from
is nice, however having a pseudo pet from
is wonderful as well. Since you'll rarely use your fear,
is fairly useless in a PvE setting.
: When Voidform ends, its haste bonus fades by 2% every second, instead of ending immediately.

A lot of times the question is asked, how do I use this talent? What is the optimal way to play it?
The answer to that is simple. Firstly you'll want to take these talents:
You would execute the fight like normal, then when the boss will die in ~90 seconds, you would enter StM and do the normal priority rotation.
Save Void Torrent at least 60 seconds prior to using StM
Save Power Infusion at least 60 seconds prior to using StM
Have your dots at full duration before you enter StM to ensure you don't need to recast them
Dispersion can save your life, use it in an emergency or to bridge the gap between shadow word: death when you have run out of charges.
Pop Power Infusion as late into StM as possible. Ideally this will be around ~70 stacks.
Use your Shadowfiend and second Potion of Deadly Grace with Power Infusion
