Gear and Stat Prioritization
Strength: This is our primary stat. The primary benefit is that it gives us Attack Power (AP).
Haste: This reduces our GCD (Global Cooldown), which caps at 50%/100%. It also reduces the cd on most of our rotational abilities, thus increasing SotR uptime.
: Increases damage reduction from
by 4%, and increases your chance to block melee attacks by 8%. Also increases attack power by 8%. (As with all masteries, this is just the base and is increased with our Mastery percent.)
This increases the damage reduction (DR) of our Active Mitigation (AM)
and it increases our Attack Power which increases the amount of damage and healing we can put out, through
Crit: This increases both our damage and parry. Due to our key heal (HotP/LotP) not scaling with crit, it's a lot weaker than it could be. Overall it's good for dps, but very mediocre for survival.
Versatility: This is the all around stat. It increases damage done and healing done, as well as reduces all damage taken at half the value. Since there is more magic damage in Legion, this stat looks much better since it can reduce magic damage as well as increase the healing we do.
For survivability, we are looking at: Vers / Haste >> Mastery > Crit
For DPS : Haste >> Crit ~ Mastery ~ Vers
These stat weights may change between now and launch as more testing and sims get done.
in dungeons, drops in value for raids.

Tier 19 set:
Two piece bonus:
Consecration increases the effect of Shield of the Righteous and Light of the Protector by an additional 10%.
Four piece bonus:
Shield of the Righteous has a 25% chance to reset the cooldown on Light of the Protector.
Tier 20 set:
Two piece bonus:
Judgment has a 30% chance to reset the cooldown of Avenger's Shield.
Four piece bonus:
Enemies hit by Avenger's Shield deal 5% reduced damage to you for 10 sec.
: Our BiS legendary for damage, that also works well in single target..
: Not that good in raids, but fairly decent in dungeons for extra haste and movement speed.
: Static damage reduction, solid legendary.
: Good, but not amazing for multi-target fights. Fairly mediocre on single target.
: Very solid for damage and survival in raids and 5 mans.
: Helpful with mobility, since we focus on haste.
: Fairly good legendary after 7.1.5.
: Generally good legendary, has very strong synergy with our tier.
: Not the best, but can help as an extra cooldown.
: So-so legendary, which is lacking stats, but gives opportunity to use
: Fairly good legendary, which offers a nice AoE DPS boost and offers more frequent access to defensive cooldown.
: Situational, due generally not needing blessings for the entire duration, albeit nice with
Recommended Tomb of Sargeras Gear
This is a guide for the gear you want out of Nighthold raid. A number of those items can be replaced by mythic+ items, or high rolled world boss items.
Recommended Dungeon Gear
This is a general recommendation for gearing in early dungeons in Legion. With Warforged and Titanforged possibilities, having a set list of items as being "best in slot" is impossible. In almost every situation, an increase in item level is going to be better, even if the stat allocation isn't perfect. Here are some pieces you can try to gear for:
Recommended Emerald Nightmare / Trial of Valor Gear

Finding Gear on Wowhead
From simple recommendations to advanced filters, Wowhead can help you find the gear you want.
is a great way to search for gear if you are new to Wowhead's filtering system.
Choose what item category, gear slot, and class specialization you're interested in, and it will return results for you. You can further narrow it down by source--including gear from LFR and heroic dungeons.
You can find the Item Finder via Tools > Item Finder or Database > Items > Item Finder.
returns personalized gear suggestions for you and shows which content has the most upgrades.
Simply load up the
with you preferred character and it will list gear recommendations in a 20 ilvl range for you. It will also list how many gear upgrades each boss has so you can plan out bonus rolls. Finally, the character planner will perform an audit and let you know if you have any missing enchants, glyphs, or gems.
If you have a character in our
which is great for tracking vanity collections and viewing your character in our 3D modelviewer, you can click on the "Planner" button in the header to access the tool. If you don't, you can just enter your information in at Tools > Character Planner.
Wowhead utilizes a powerful system of item filters to narrow down the gear you need.
, you can enter in some basic options at the top--the name of the item, its item level, the level the players needs to be. The "Usable by" dropdowns cover factions, class, and role.
The dropdown menu right above "Stat Weights" opens to display a variety of advanced options. These cover the following:
General item info such as Added in Expansion/Patch, BoE/BoP, Unique-Equipped, Class-Specific.
Stats: All primary stats, secondary stats, defensive stats, and weapon stats.
Source: All in-game sources, ranging from raid difficulties to the Black Market Auction House to sold by a vendor.
Miscellaneous: Many of these filters are not relevant to equippable gear such as Crafting Reagents and Toys, but you can filter for items that are currently obtainable.
Once you've selected a filter from the menu, click on Apply filter for search results. You can repeat the process to filter for multiple criteria at once--for example, Agility gear that is found in Mythic Foundry.
Over on the right-hand side of the page, you can select a particular Gear Slot or Quality to narrow results even further.
Finally, you can quickly view a subset of items at once using the Database Menus. Head to Database > Items and mouseover the Weapon and Armor options for quick links to gear arranged by armor type and slot.
