Highperch in Thousand Needles is a great place to mine Mithril and Iron while working up your mining skill.

Badlands offers a few good locations to hit up for mithril. The best place by far is Lethlor Ravine, where all the dragon whelps are at. The entrance to the south almost always has one node there, while the entrance to the north has one or two as well. The center, off to the left (if you're entering from the south) will have one too. You can hit these three, then cruise along the southern border of the Badlands (several spawns near the rock elementals) and then sweep back in time for the respawn in Lethlor Ravine.

If you're a higher level looking for skillups and you're in the mithril range, I highly suggest going to Uldaman. Theres several mithril nodes, sometimes some iron as well .. along with the Indurium veins, which may be pretty much useless but you can still skill up on them. Don't have to worry about competition for nodes, and when you mine them all, just reset and go again. If you run out of instances (too many per hour), just run over to Lethlor Ravine and pick up nodes there to wait it out.

Alright, I did alot of reading and alot of research in order to find a perfect mining place for myself and truth be told I only found it because I looked at the wowhead Arathi Highlands map showing mithril nodes.
http://i10.tinypic.com/673x8a8.jpg
I located 3 seperate spawning mithril nodes that basically nobody touches because the majority of this trek is underwater.
That said, this probably isn't very ideal for you if you don't have a way to breathe underwater or have water walking, this was great for my shaman as the naga in the water drop regeants for both spells, too. On that link I mapped out a path to follow, starting near Stromgarde keep, there is plenty of aggro along this path so don't bother if your trying to be sneaky, its good for leveling mind you. With water breathing and walking I completed this cycle in time for the nodes to respawn just as I arrived, sometimes a little after. That said there is also some iron that you can mine if it gets in your way too, enjoy. :) I made alot of money with this run and powerleveled my guild engineer's skill as well.

If you are lvl 40 with a mount, Tanaris is great for Mithril. Just run around the map follow the mountain edges. You can get an easy 10 nods per turn and it give time to the first nods you mined to respawn, so you can run to infinite. There is also 2-3 small thorium vein on the way

If you are going to mine the mithril because you are leveling mining fast, hes the strat I used. Go to hinterlands at whatever level you learn Mithril (175 I think) and then start looking there for it. Here get lots of Mithril, Iron, and Gold. Then at 225 when you max it out, go train to 300, and go to Tanaris. This is becuase by going to Tanaris for the last 5 points, you are closer to Winterspring (Still far I know, but at least same continent) where the Truesilver is. Works great!

I found 2-3 nodes in Seradane in three circuits of Hinterlands. Hinterlands is very tedious; as said before. I feel Badlands is the same because there are so many small passages between the rocks.
I'm trying to fly through my mining skill, so I'll give Tanaris a shot. I'll do a couple circuits of Searing Gorge once I get >240 skill (230 right now).

Looking for mithril in Tanaris is a total waste of time. I did 3 consecutive circuits around this zone. The result is just only 1 node and that was 100 yards away from Gadgetzan. Hinterlands seem to be more productive but the nodes are mostly nearby hostile mobs.

If you are after mithril for the mithril order quests in STV, (needs 120 bars at this stage, along with 40 iron, 5 truesilver and 4 citrines) I found a good place to find it is the crystalmine down by the arena and zombie ruins in STV. The outside has 1-2 mithril nodes along with a gold/iron. Inside are 3-4 mithril and 3-4 iron nodes, the mobs in here are lvl 43-44 basilisks and are nicely spaced.

If you need both Thorium and Mithril, here's what I suggest. Starting in Gadget, head southeast towards Caverns of Time. From there, head south and follow the outside of the country until you get to the path leading into Un'Goro, where you should make a full circuit before heading back into Tanaris. It's a long trip for the whole route, but I personally find it much less boring than running back and forth over the same path every 5-10 minutes.

For some reason I am not getting much luck at all in the hinterlands. In roughly 2.5 circuits of the hinterlands I only picked up 29 mithril, 3 iron and 2 gold (my skill's only 200 so I couldn't pick up the couple of truesilvers I came upon). I start at raventusk, and I just follow the southern mountain edges until I'm almost to aerie peak, then I just shoot across to the northern mountains and coast along that all the way around seradane and back down the overlook cliffs. Am I doing something wrong or do I just have really bad luck?
Edit - Just did 1 circuit and I got 24 mithril, very good.

The Cartographer plugin is really handy for this (as well as other map related things). There are three parts: Cartographer, Cartographer_Data, and Cartographer_Mining. When you have all three installed, the map will be updated to show you spawn points others have found. The deposit may or may not be at the spawn point at that moment, however: it's just where one was found by someone using Cartographer. The mini-map will also show the direction of nearby spawn points.
Cartographer is an ACE plugin, so if you get an ACE updater, you'll be able to easily get all the updates (it's updated frequently... mainly with new data).

I've found Tanaris probably the best place to mine those. Just go around in circles around the whole zone. Easily 40+, up to maybe even 60 in one run, +few Small Thoriums. The Hinterlands I assume is good too, but I couldn't find as many. Some of them are well behind hordes of trolls, others - behind oozes, I don't think it's worth the fight. The northernmost part, where the dragon spawns, usually has 1 or 2, because almost nobody mines them and there aren't really any mobs that can't be avoided.

Just a note that I saw just barely touched on in Hinterlands and other areas where the spawns of mithril are in WORLD DRAGON spawning areas:
Don't go in there pre-60 without some way of completely dropping all aggro (eg: Feign Death or Vanish). Even then, the elite dragonkin that pat around the world dragon spawn areas can see through stealth pre-60 and resist a lot of the distracts I attempted to throw at them at level 55.

I found one good place to mine Mithril is in the cave in the southeast part of the Arathi Highlands, right where it shows on the map above. It's also a very good source of Iron and has a single Truesilver deposit in the western part of the cave. I suggest only going in if you're at least level 35, maybe as low as 33 if you're strong enough. Just watch out for trolls, they're very feisty.

If you wanna farm Mithril ore in hinterlands just start from south, from Horde base, best on 60+ level so you don't aggro mobs they can be so annoying :P, and just go down the whole mountain side where the trolls are and then straight up to north make circles, but most mithril is on southern part of Hinterlands.

If you have better results in Tanaris please inform me for I need alot of Mithril to level my Jewelcrafting. If anyone is going to farm The Hinterlands, I reccomend hitting Hiri'Watha, Shadra'Alor, Jintha'Alor, Skulk Rock, and the Temple of Zul. Seradane also has alot of veins but also has alot of lvl 62 elite mobs running around.

The Hinterlands is an amazing place to farm for mithril. I farmed 80 bars in a little over an hour, making 30g per stack on the AH. As long as it is not being farmed by anybody else, you should hit an average of about 20 bars per cycle. On a 60% speed mount, it took me about 15 minutes per cycle. So if you're craving for some fast, easy gold, it doesn't hurt to farm here. :)

If you're looking for a place with a lot of mithril mines nearby, get to the Armory cave in the Blasted Lands (just west of Nethergarde Keep). There are a 6-9 mithril mines, but they are concentrated in the same place. I've been doing circuits in The Hinterlands, but there are many mobs and it gets a little time-consuming to kill them (I'm lvl 46), so I find this mobless mithril-rich cave a very nice place.
Greetings from Cuba!

I just came back from doing a full circuit in the above mentioned cave (Garrison Armory) and it's surroundings, here are the results:
Mithril: 10 nodes, 35 ore
Truesilver: 1 node, 4 ore.
Thorium: 4 nodes, 11 ore.
Total time: 13 minutes (expect to improve it as I get to know the cave).
Sounds to me like it's a GREAT place. And no mobs at all (for Alliance players at least: all the miners in there are friendly).

If you are approximately lvl 30-35 there is a great way of farming 15-20 mithril ores just running around Thousand Needles. My favorite route is just run to the Splithoof Hold (make sure you check the whole cave, there are 1-2 mithril veins pretty much always), then run up to Highperch and check every corner. Usually I can find 3-4 deposits there, then I just run to the rustmaul digsite and find 2-3 ores there. And voila.

Mithril ore and bars sell the best and highest on AH, due to the fact that in professions like Blacksmithing and Engineering, it has more widespread applications than any other mineral in the game. Therefore it is more valuable and usually the most in demand. In my experience as a miner, Mithril is always the first thing most people have asked to buy from me or trade me for.

I tried out the Hinterlands route a few times, without going too deep into the hills. The results were as follows:
- first run - 19 mithril, with 3 nodes just in Seradane
- second run - 19 mithril, 4 nodes in Seradane
- third run - a meager 7 mithril, just one in Seradane
- fourth run - 15, with 2 in Seradane and one particularly hard to reach node in Jintha'Alor
Did this as an Unholy DK, with the mount speed increase which adds up to 120%
Along the way i found about 3 truesilver nodes I couldn't mine and 2 small thorium veins.

To make a long story short, the best places to farm Mithril include:
- Badlands (found not to be that bad as long as others are not in the area leveling mining as well)
- Hinterlands (at least on my server, this is a really popular place to level mining. Yes, it has good nodes to mine, but potentially bad that everyone usually hits it up first)
- Alterac Mountains (Not bad. The layout of the land makes it odd to make efficient circuits through)
- Tanaris (Not a bad place either)

i would say that Tanaris and the Hinterlands are probably the best places to do mining of mithril. in Tanaris the mithril is often accompanied by iron and sometimes gold, so its great place to go if you need not only mithril but a good boost to the funds.
the Hinterlands is also a great place to mine because you can often dont even need to look for mithril; if you just go into the cliffs your bound to find some.

Farming 180 Mithril in Hinterlands took me 3 hours.
Also got: 30 Iron ores, 17 Thorium ores, 10 gold ores, 14 Truesilver ores, around 200 solid stones, and some random stuff.
I followed the map somebody linked above, but also went into the cave to the north once every 2-3 laps.
I did this as a level 80 DK with talent for mountspeed, and unholy pressence.
So I guess you can say that you get aproximatelly 60 mithril per hour doing this circuit. If your alone in the area, that is.

The southern edge of Tanaris has been far better for me than Hinterlands, due primarily to the large number of mobs surrounding each node in Hinterlands. Most of the reliable mithril deposits are inside hostile troll areas or in the Skulk Cave, full of slimes. Often I'd have to kill two to three mobs for each node, at least doing this as a level 50.
Instead, you can run along the edge of Tanaris from the Southbreak Shore to the ramp to Un'goro and get 6-8 mithril nodes with minimal mobs, and you can generally avoid any that aggro fairly easily.
My preferred mining path runs from Southbreak along the edge of Tanaris, down into Un'goro and mine the thorium all the way to Marshal's, then fly to Gadget and start again, this will have given the Tanaris mithril time to respawn, plus you'll have a pack full of thorium that you'll need for your Imperial Armor quests anyway.

In post-shattering Burning Steppes, I was able to farm about 10 stacks of mithril ore in under an hour. Perhaps it was a fluke thing, or maybe the veins are just much more densely populated now, but I was finding one literally every 5-10 seconds just from running around the edges of the map. Every cave I went into had at least 3-5 veins as well.

Guys, I can confirm, Badlands is officially the best place for Mithril. Infact, it's a goldmine of Mithril. It's absolutely EVERYWHERE! Since The Shattering and the reshaping of Azeroth, all the Iron Ore has been wiped from the Badlands and places where you would normally find it, have been replaced with Mithril. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself, I'm not joking. There is also now insane amounts of Gold Ore and Truesilver Ore.

Since 4.0.3, Eastern Plaguelands seems to be another good place to mine Mithril. The old places like the Alterac Yeti caves are lower level now and have tin, as does the Hinterlands.

On the Kalimdor side of the continent, one absolutely great place for Mithril has been Felwood; there's a cave near Talonbranch Glade that you're practically tripping over respawns, and places all up and down the zone, you will find REAMS of Mithril.
Really, any place that's 40-50 you're likely to see it in droves.
Come to think of it, you can apply that to alot of things at the moment. 30-40 for Iron, with in general they made searching for ore far less asinine.
Check mob levels before looking to mine; I think it's a break at 25 where tin goes to iron, but I've not mapped all zones level-wise.

As of 4.0.3, with The Hinterlands changing to a level ~30 zone, it is no longer an ideal place to farm Mithril.
Edit: At Aryn2382's suggestion, I farmed for Mithril in Felwood.
Farming for an hour yielded me:
317 Mithril Ore
24 Gold Ore
17 Truesilver Ore
Not sure how it compares to other post-Shattering zones, but seems decent enough.

As of patch 4.0.3a, there are two great places in particular to mine Mithril. The first is Badlands, where Mithril Deposits are found pretty much all over the place. The second is at the bottom of Thousand Needles. This, of course, means that you'll have to swim a lot. It also means that the competition will most likely be smaller. It's your choice, really.

Extremely quick and easy to farm mithril ore underwater in Thousand Needles for Cataclysm using
Speedbarge Diving Helm
which is an automated buff applied while questing underwater. Be sure to walk on the bottom for a speed buff.
One 15-minute circuit yielded 12 gold and 79 mithril ore. Very very very few mobs to aggro, and probably not a popular spot at the moment.

wowhead shows Burning Steppes as having the most recorded nodes. being closest to SW its the first place i hit. with a flying mount i was able to circle the entire zone in 15 minutes picking up about 8 Mithril stacks with an additional stack of Truesilver. i was barely able to get airborne before landing again to mine. i lost count of how many deposits are active at a time, but there are around 10 deposits between both caves in Dreadmaul Rock alone. these only slowed me down so i skipped them on my second go-round. the last one i mined has already respawned during the typing of this post.

Right now, the best place to get mithril (without much difficulty) is thousand needless, plenty of deposits almost everywhere and low lvl mobs. You can also find iron, silver, gold and truesilver in less quantity; and yes, they are submerged but if you did some quests in the zone, you'll probably have the boat and breathing device from the speedbarge... good luck

For an easy find to readers post the shattering:
I can up all the comments, mithril is fluent in every zone mentioned. If you are an ally, I suggest Burning Steppes, simply because it's conveniently close to Stormwind. A not fulfilled loop of the zone netted me five stacks of mithril ore and tonnes of solid stones.
When I was at Dreadmaul Rock I noticed my bags were filling up, and said to myself "ok, I'll make my way back to Stormwind flying in a
straight line
and only picking up nodes that I fly over". Following this 'route', not switching course or falling off this line to pick up nodes on my periferal minimap, I got another stack of ores.

BEST place, any faction is definitely Burning Steppes for mindless farming. No need to fly around the middle to get straggler deposits. Just spin around the outer edges of the zone but dipping in around BRM since theres nothing there. I net about 95-105 mithril a lap. And i dont go in the cave or anything.

86 Mithril Ore
6 Gold Ore
10 Iron Ore
2 Silver Ore
96 Solid Stone
15 Heavy Stone

With 109 posts here, I don't have time to check if this has been said yet, so I'm saying it here.
If you go mining, make sure to take the quest
Down in the Deeps
first. It allows you to breath under water and gives you swim speed of 108%. Walking/running while unbuffed is 100%, for comparison.
Comments on the above link state that once you've done the quest, the buff remains every time you're down here. I haven't checked it out yet.
Edit: Just confirmed. After you hand in the quest, you can still breath under water in Thousand Needles.

the best place to farm mithril is badlands, the deposits are spread all over the map and it is much faster traveling in there as opposed to Thousand Needles, though Thousand Needles is a good place to farm it too but if you are not a druid (with aquatic form) you better go to badlands.
Felwood is a great place too, the mithril deposits are found in the edges of the map, and felwood map is narrow so it is easier to collect the ores...

For everyone mentioning the outer perimeter of Burning Steppes, you don't even need to do that. Dreadmaul Rock, East of Morgan's Vigil (Alliance) & Flame Crest (Horde), is a magnificent Mithril farming location. Besides the mountain itself, there are two caves that spawn good amounts of Mithril too.
But wait, there's more:
If you do the quest chains in Burning Steppes, you get an item
that disguises you as a Blackrock orc/troll/ogre/goblin
. This disguise makes Blackrock enemies in certain locations non-hostile, including Dreadmaul Rock.
You get this disguise twice in the course of the quest chain. First early on, at Chiselgrip, then later towards the end when you're actually infiltrating Dreadmaul Rock. I didn't find this out early enough to confirm if the Chiselgrip disguise can be used at Dreadmaul, but as Dreadmaul's the central location of the finishing quests, that one definitely works.
What this boils down to is: Dreadmaul Rock has mithril nodes aplenty and, if you do it right, you can make all the mobs that would otherwise attack you friendly, allowing you to farm at your leisure.

for 61+ mining DKs needing mithril/working on mining, you should head directly to Needles.
You can just run around on the surface/fly(if you have old world flying) and turn off your Path of Frost when you find nodes you'd like to mine. (thus skipping when there are pockets of iron...
Plus there are no hostile mobs in a LARGE section of needles (the mining section has maybe 10 hostile mobs total)
Just...if you're dropping out of the air...don't forget to TURN OFF YOUR POF...thank you this has been your public service announcement for the day....
also do the starting needles quest to get the air bubble on your head.
Mining in needles is far more enjoyable than mining in vash and you get a seahorse in vash, ffs...

So, end of story, the best place to farm this at low levels is definitely 1k Needles. You get a water-breathing buff and a 160% swim speed buff when you walk along the bottom (after a few quests, of course). With a mount and guild perks, it goes up to 220% like normal, and with darkflight and normal walking, I got to 224%. Not only is the speed nice for low levels, but there are ZERO mobs if you stay away from the giant trench, which has no ore whatsoever.
At higher levels, with faster flying mounts, the best to go would be Felwood for Kalimdor or Burning Steppes for Eastern Kingdoms, as the Steppes gives you a quest item where you can be friendly to the orc mobs near all the best node locations.

Just spent 20 minutes in Burning Steppes to get 140 Mithril bars for my JC to level up. I skipped 1K needles figuring most nodes would be submerged and would take me longer, I am not sure if it would have been a better route considering it may have more truesilver, but here are my findings:
I had 280% flying mount with gathering guild perk, I made 2.5 rounds making SURE I visited Dreadmaul rock (and inside the cave).
6 Truesilver ore
14 Gold Ore
258 Mithril ore (I know I only needed 140 but the place was so dense with nodes I couldnt help myself).
4 Green Gear items
1 Aquamarine
1 Black Vitriol
3 Star Ruby
4 Citrine

Just wanted to post my findings - one circuit of Burning Steppes netted me the following:
96 x Mithril Ore
3 x Gold Ore
7 x Truesilver
4 x Black Vitriol
Not bad for less than 10min work!
Too add to the comments above - Dreadmaul rock on my first visit contained around 7 nodes inside the small cave alone and a further couple on the slopes outside. Definitely a good spot for Mithril in a nice confined space.
Summary - If you have a good flying mount +speed go to Burning Steppes.
If you are lower lvl - grab the water walking quests from 1k Noodles and bounce your way along the floor.

I found Thousand Needles to be a great place to go. I was looking for something simple and easy, and got it. I did a few quests to get the Speedbarge Diving Helm, and ran along the edges of the zone underwater - the helm gives you 160% running speed along the floor. I ran across very very few mobs - there was a small area with some remora sharks (which were easily avoided) and in the deeper scars there were some aggressive divers (easily killed if they were in the way of a mine, and too deep to accidentally run into otherwise).
I ran around the edge of the zone in about half an hour, and that was just the edges - I didn't zigzag through all the tiny island, which probably sheltered a few more deposits I missed. But in my half-hour run, this is what I got:
38x Iron Ore
120x Mithril Ore
18x Gold Ore
8x Truesilver Ore
(I usually run into a few Silver mines as well).
38x Heavy Stone
160x Solid Stone
1x Jade
1x Aquamarine
2x Star Ruby
2x Black Vitriol
EDIT: I now make an entire loop of Thousand Needles in less than half an hour. I somehow can use my ground mount along the bottom, and I achieve 220% running speed because I can mount underwater.
http://i53.tinypic.com/wuqzcx.jpg
Is this a glitch, or is this legit? Either way, currently it is my very fast, very efficient way of navigating Thousand Needles for my mining.

I would highly recommend thousand needles for mithril, after doing the quest to get yourself the diving gear. Just questing the zone, i picked up ~170 ore and, about 20 gold, 30 iron, and 10 truesilver. It actually got to the point where I didn't use the boat they give you anymore, and simply ran along the bottom of the zone, because it appeared so often.
Specifically, I found it most going along the southern edge of the bluffs. It's all over the place around the base of them, and along the cliffs underwater.

I read quite a ways down and the one comment I didn't see was the obvious mining guides that show up as soon as you type in a mineral. Mining guides. Felwood is rich with Mithril and close enough to Org to warrant just staying there for mining. There are 4-6 gold nodes there and some of that quicksilver ore too. Not a great gem drop place, but you can get tons of gems up in Winterspring in the next level of mining so not a big deal.
and this is 4.4.3. Why spend so much time when there is a perfectly good guide for all this stuff? The link (not mine) is

Although the above comments are helpful, I found the best route to be in Thousand Needles starting from Westreach summit and following the edge of the cliff at the water all the way around. It doesn't matter if you go clockwise or counter-clockwise. I didn't even have to check the mountains. Following this circuit will also get you Truesilver and Iron. I skipped the iron due to not needing it, but there were a few along the route. Truesilver was, like always, pretty uncommon, but I did find a few nodes. There are also very few Gold deposits too, mainly in the caves.
In one circuit in Thousand Needles I mined the following:
143x
秘银矿石
184x
坚固的石头
13x
真银矿石
8x
金矿石
4x
黄水晶
1x
红宝石
1x
黑色硫酸盐
The
超级驳船潜水盔
buff makes the mining a lot easier. I basically flew around at the edge of the cliff and dove into the water, swam down, and mined when I saw a node on my map. I skipped all of the Iron Deposits because I did not need them, but there were plenty along the way.
Also, with the
超级驳船潜水盔
buff, you can actually mount underwater and walk on the ground at a faster pace than swimming.

No swimming that obviousely makes your farming much faster. 200 ore in one round trip in Badlands isn't a bad score :)

Searing Gorge is my favorite area for this, for a couple of reasons.
1.) My battlegroup is heavily populated, which means Badlands and Burning Steppes are both hotly-contested mining spots. It's possible for me to mine there, but I never seem to walk away with as much as I would if I farmed elsewhere. (Thanks CRZ!) Searing Gorge, on the other hand, is usually stone cold dead.
2.) The nodes are all tightly clustered and respawn insanely fast. One full fly-over--hitting basically every single potential node spawn point--will take about 8 minutes at
normal flying
, and usually offers about 100 mithril (plus assorted gems, solid stone, and maybe a handful of gold or truesilver if you're lucky) from ~30-35 nodes. By the time you've come full circle, everything's already respawned at the beginning. Half an hour will see you at 350-400 mithril with almost no effort. If you have epic flying, that number jumps to about 600.
The downside: Searing Gorge is so small that it can't really support more than one person farming at a time. Any competition at all will affect your numbers dramatically in ways that you wouldn't even notice if you were farming in Thousand Needles, where someone can be farming on the opposite end of the zone as you and you'd never even know they're there.
Still, I find that it outperforms Burning Steppes every time, and if you have any competition at all in the Badlands, you'll find a no-competition Searing Gorge a better return on your time investment.
sweet mother of god i love the searing gorge.

And no Crazy path to follow, just go in a circle around the perimeter. And fly over the Ogre mound, I didn't even go inside - takes too long.

I'm a little surprised that almost no one has commented on mining mithril in Thousand Needles. As long as you have completed
this quest (horde chain)
or
this quest (alliance chain)
you will gain a buff that lets you breathe underwater and swim faster for the rest of your life as long as you're in Thousand Needles. If you haven't completed the quest, accepting it is enough, though it speaks for itself that you will not gain the buff if you abandon the quest and decide to come back later to mine more.
There are a lot of mithril deposits in Thousand Needles, next to some truesilver, gold, and iron. Make sure that you stay on the bottom of the ocean (so you're basically walking, not swimming) and you'll go much faster. You can even mount like you normally would. And the best thing, at least if you're around level 50 or lower, is that there are almost no aggressive mobs. Within one round I personally encountered three and they were all rares. I did not see any competition for the mithril deposits either, but that may vary depending on what server you play on.
Good luck mining! :)

By far the best place to mine Mithril is Thousand Needles, it may seem tedious to dismount and swim to the node and swim back, but honestly if you have done the starting quests for this zone, you get underwater breathing, and when you hit the ground you are able to mount up, so just mount up run around on the ground underwater, farmed for maybe 15 minutes, and got 100 ore out of it. The ammount of mithril by far outweighs the annoyance of being underwater

15x Gold Ore
17x Truesilver Ore
along with a small assortment of gems
Not too bad a result considering I only did one run of Irontree Caverns and there was anywhere between 1-3 other individuals farming at the same time.

The Burning Steppes is very giving, if you want to harvest Mithril ore. I've added a screen shot of my map, showing all the deposites I encountered in a single run..
After the first run around the whole area, I ended up with:
139 Mithril ore
7 Gold ore
6 Truesilver ore
176 Solid stone
3 Black Vitrol
There were two others doing some harvesting, but nothing serious. I took a second round right away. After I were all done, I had the following:
267 Mithril ore
13 Gold ore
19 Truesilver ore
198 Solid stone
5 Black Vitrol
2 Star Ruby
2 Citrine
1 Moss Agate
1 Aquamarine
I can recommend Burning Steppes (EK) for harvesting Mithril.

You will mine nuggets till you reach 150 mining.

These used to give you
秘银矿块
until Mining 150. At least as of 8.1.5, you now just get
秘银矿石
- even if you just learned mining and have no rank in it.

In the shadowlands expansion, the only place i've found to have Mithril ore is the northern part of Eastern Plaguelands. Literally every other suggestion on google recommends zones that have no mithril.
Edit: Searing Gorge had great deposits. A lot of online guides say Hinterlands but thats false.

Dragonflight Patch 10.2
There is a way to farm
秘银矿石
really fast in
千针石林
but only works with mounts that can swim and fly like
神谜掠波者之道
. With this method you will farm with extra 310% speed above AND under water.
Please note that as of now this is the only all-rounder mount in game that can both fly and swim under water, if blizz adds another, it may work with those as well.
This is how it works:
Do the quest
深水以下
(H)/
深水以下
(A) and get your
超级驳船潜水盔
permanent buff in
千针石林
. Then when you are under water all you need is to touch the ground once when using your
神谜掠波者
and Voilà, you can now swim the way you fly with 310% speed under water!
Please note this may get patched later, but for now this is the fastest method to farm
秘银矿石
.
