This guy along with Alenndaar Lapidaar (a Hunter trainer) and Bolyun (a pet trainer) must be the weirdest placed NPC:s in the game. Maybe not lorewise but who exactly is supposed to find these guys? As far as I know there are no pointers to these guys anywhere so most people have probably never seen them. Too bad, I like NPC:s, quest givers and mobs that are kind of hidden away.

Wow. After about 4 years of playing this game, I thought I'd seen everything. And suddenly I find these guys... it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)

He still exists post-4.0.3a, but is "chained" by some kind of spell (perhaps from a quest?), and thus will not allow you to buy anything.

As a level 41 gnome rogue i went to this location with honored status with darnasus and i was not able to purchase this recipe so i dont know if i should do some questing in the area to be able to purchase it?
