Garalon is a one phased encounter and requires 2 tanks, 2-3 healer and 5-6 DD in 10 man mode.
To understand how to approach the boss, an overview of his abilities is needed:
愤怒横扫
deals damage to all targets within a large cone in front of him. It has to hit at least 2 targets to prevent him from getting
狂怒
, which will cause him to kill your raid after a few stacks and attacks.

is the debuff which indicates the target that is fixated by Garalon. Every 2 seconds it deals 15,000 nature damage to the raid, causes a voidzone called

deals by 10% per stack and expires after 2 minutes without being affected by

After 40 seconds the pheromones should be given to the next player simply by standing close together and moving on asap. 3-4 damage dealer are required for this task to let the debuff expire. It is recommended to use a cooldown when you are taking the

debuff, because most likely you will stand a short time in the

If your raid needs the damage very desperately in order to beat the enrage counter, try to use tanks and healer for this task.
In order to slow down the boss asap and thus making the whole fight easier,

should be cast very shortly after the pull, which helps to bring down the four legs and allowing your raid damage to focus on Garalon's Body. With only 1 leg active at a time the single target classes should stay on Garalon, while the classes with cleave/multidot potential continue killing the (respawning) legs.

A couple points that should be noted in addition to 3xul's good explanation of the basic mechanics:
Single target DDs (any class that does not have real cleave) should only hit the legs in the first couple seconds of the fight and then concentrate the damage on

. The legs have quite low hp and single target dps would only steal the chance on extra damage gained by (for example) rogues or warriors from them without proper benefit. Legs do respawn but you will be spending a good time not having legs on the side your melee is attacking at (the legs on the other side are too far away, in the
信息素痕迹
and hard to target).
Assign a good number of "kiters" the hand the
信息素
to another which leaves the
信息素痕迹
behind the current target of the debuff. Number of kiters depends on raid size and estimated time for the kill. In a 25-man raid with estimated 8 minutes kill time, you should have 12 or more kiters (8 minutes = 480 sec = 240x debuff = 12 kiters with 20 debuffs). Better assign a couple more "reserve" kiters in case any kiters die in the process or the debuff gets handed over before it reaches a stack of 20. The handing over is quite simple, the next kiter only needs to walk through the current kiter. The important part is, that the previous kiter must leave the area immediately, otherwise he risks to regain the debuff and thus gaining a too high stack which causes a whole lot more damage on the entire raid.
Build caster and healer camps, so that aoe healing can be utilized best. Healers and single target ranged DDs do
not
need to stand next to the legs.
Kiters place the

which forms small orange pools in a line all around the bosses terrace. A new pool spawns every 2 seconds, which is insufficient time for most spells with a cast time that are intterupted by moving. Place the pools overlapping, by walking just outside to the edge of the last pool before placing the new one.
Make sure to use damage reduction or immunity cooldowns if the kiter happens to be in the
愤怒横扫
zone. If the kiter dies, make sure the next one moves through the dead body asap, to pick up the

LFR Garalon in four easy mechanics:
1.Step on blue circle, not purple circle
2.Kill legs only
3.If you have Pheromone, STAY ON WALL! Pass debuff off (get near a player) on 10 stacks max
4.DONT STAY IN FRONT OF BOSS, unless you're a tank, then you NEED TO!
My macroable (exactly 255 characters) guide that I spam on LFR to get things right.

Changed #2 to kill legs only. On a group that doesn't know what they're doing (and those who doesn't have AoEs), it's best for them to kill the legs only since chances are, they'll have the 100% buff on them, essentially doing double damage on the boss as a whole.
Changed #3 to make it clear that they have to be on wall. Otherwise, they'll leave pools everywhere.

LFR Strategy:
Tanks
: 2 tanks must stand in front of the boss at all times. It will rotate slowly in the direction that the people with pheromones move. Nobody else (except the pheromones players) should ever be in front of the boss due to his frequent, massively damaging Swipe attack. If two players aren't hit by a Swipe, the boss gains a minor enrage stack called Fury. It falls off fairly quickly (on LFR anyway) but is a problem if it stacks. (If one of the tanks is clueless, a good rogue can use Feint, eat a Swipe with the non-stupid tank, and clear the Fury stacks every two or three times.)
DPS
:
Attack the legs as much as you can, particularly melee. They break, then heal, it doesn't matter, just keep killing them.
Never, ever, ever go under the boss.
It will crush you and damage the entire raid. No excuse for getting crushed, ever. There is a big purple circle on the ground that indicates this region of badness, avoid it. Try to focus down one leg at a time, as there is a stacking slowing debuff on Garalon as a consequence of it having a broken leg(s.) Additionally, each time you break a leg it does 3% of the boss's maximum health in damage, which is not coincidentally the same health that the leg has. Crazy how that works out. You can attack the boss (particularly ranged) but the legs are the preferred target to kill when available. Each leg has a bluish circle beneath it. Any player standing in that circle gains 100% damage against that particular leg.
Melee can attack the boss when all the legs are down, but before doing so, please evaluate yourself honestly. If you are the sort of person who stands still and stares at his or her action bar to watch the numbers light up before pressing them and then winds up standing in the fire as a result, just back away and do whatever ranged damage you can until a leg comes back up. It's better than constantly getting the raid crushed because of a lack of raid awareness. This and a pheromones fail are the LFR killers.
Pheromones
:
2 DPS need to control the pheromones and one healer needs to make sure that they don't die. They will do no DPS, but
for LFR purposes they've got the most important job in the raid
. The fight depends entirely on how well these two do their job.
Getting this means that the boss will turn to face you and will walk toward you very slowly. It stacks and damages you slightly, and you drop yellow puddles of poison about every 3-4 seconds. Pheromones is transferred from player to player when they run through one another. The player with pheromones has an evil eye symbol over their head.
When the tank pulls, he or she will get Pheromones. Pheromone DPS 1 needs to immmediately run through the tank to take the debuff off of the tank and transfer it to himself. Pheromone 1 then runs, immediately, directly to the outer wall. Once he gets there, he stops, waits 2 seconds, then steps forward a bit along the wall. Repeat. At 15-20 stacks, Pheromone DPS 2 runs through Pheromone 1 to gain the debuff and continues making a line of tightly packed pheromone pools on the ground. The idea is that you want the pools to overlap by 50% if possible so that there is a bright yellow line of pools circling the entire courtyard. The next lap around, move in slightly and continue as before. The most dangerous spots are right on the corners, you
must
take them slowly or the boss will swing rapidly and Swipe dps/healers. It takes a try to get it right, but it's not too hard for someone with decent raid awareness.
Pheromones should try their best to be at least 40 yards from the boss (not as hard as it sounds) or they will get hit by his Swipe. It's very likely that pheromones players are going to be hit by at least one Swipe during the encounter, so healers should try to keep them near full health and those players should be prepared to use personal cooldowns to survive the damage.
We went clockwise, but it doesn't matter as long as everyone knows what is going to happen and the motion is consistent.
This really isn't that hard of a fight, but it depends on 25 strangers who aren't communicating with one another to not be clueless, and that's kind of a challenge sometimes.

:
Tanks: Both stand in front the entire time. You need to be swiped or the boss gains a minor enrage stack.
DPS: Attack and kill legs whenever possible, attack the body only when all the legs are dead. Never, ever go under the boss. Ever. Don't stand in yellow puddles or get in front of the boss.
Pheromones: 2 players deal with pheromones, a healer needs to make sure they don't die. The boss turns to face whoever has pheromones and that person gets a stacking DoT and drops puddles of poison. Tank pulls, Pheromones Player 1 (PP1) runs through him to get the debuff and then heads directly to the outer wall. Drop a puddle by the wall, walk forward to its edge, wait two seconds, step forward again, repeat. Get puddles to overlap and slowly make your way around the platform. PP2 walks through PP1 when PP1 has 15-20 stacks of the debuff and continues the line of puddles. Take the corners slowly.
Macroable Version (in 2 parts):
/raid Tanks: Both stand in front. Get swiped or the boss enrages.
/raid DPS: Kill legs, stand in blue circles for damage buff. Never ever go into the purple circle under the boss, ever. Don't be in front of the boss.
/raid Pheromones: Two players deal with this. Get it from the tank and go to the wall. Slowly circle the platform clockwise. Drop puddles very close together. Swap debuff at 15 stacks by running through one another. Healers - don't let Pheromones die.

In LFR, the best method seemed to be having the tanks kite. The kiting tank at the far edge of the furious swipe range, the other tank closer to a leg, switching around 15. Tanks drag it slowly, dropping puddles closely stacked around the perimeter.
Telling melees to kill legs and ranged to kill boss also seems to be a simple way to make sure good dps was going out on both things.
If your tanks are on-board with this, then everyone else's job is trivial.
(In LFR, with non-tanks kiting, it seemed far too easy for kiters to lose fixate to clueless players who got near them.)

This boss isn't lfr destroyer, no. Otherwise, Garalon is the best thing what happened with lfr.
People MUST communicate, ppl must build streategy, we aren't zerg anymore, instead of it we are intelligent protoss.
The fight is simple, - meele should take weak points on legs, everyone should stay off the violet circle. soak boss's attack, and if all these things will be discussed, - then boss will fall from first attempt.

from ele sham (combo class with bit of heal) perspective - keep healing a bit, go to weak point distance when attacking leg, and watch violet line.

It's about time blizzard adds more mechanics to LFR. Tank and spank is just too boring and doesn't help anyone that is new to PvE transition in to normal/heroic modes.

just a little tip for you guys we use two dk tanks in dps gear and then get hit for next to nothing. around 50k and they manage to hit around 60k dps which will really helps. you can also use 1 tank and a rogue but rogue will take alot of dmg!

Only 3 NPCs will be up at a time and this daily is not always available so it can be helpful to hold on to the quest (do not complete it and turn it in) and check each day to see which NPCs are up.
