EXTREME LORE SPOILERS!
The fate of Highlord Bolvar Fordragon is now clear and confirmed. He did indeed (as we already know) survive the battle at the Wrathgate. Being tortured by Arthas, Bolvar still refused to become his servant and champion.
After the death of Arthas Menethil, Tirion was ready to take his place as the new Lich King in order to keep the Scourge at bay. However, just before he put on the Lich King's crown, a familiar voice shouted out to him.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, engulfed in fires still burning from the purification of Alexstraza's red flame that was used to cleanse the Wrathgate, called out to Tirion. He convinced him to put the helmet of the Lich King on his head instead. Bolvar also told Tirion that none must know what truly went down in Icecrown Citadel that day, as if people were to realize that a Lich King was still alive, they could not avoid to live in fear and panic for the rest of their lives.
Refusing at first, Tirion finally did what Bolvar asked him to. The eyes of the Lich King opened up once again, covering Bolvar's. The soul of one of the mightiest beings ever seen on Azeroth had corrupted a man who was pure at heart and true to all he believed in. Bolvar sealed himself as the Lich King in a block of ice and told Tirion to leave and never come back. This was the only way that Bolvar could aid the world now. He would forever keep the Scourge away from Azeroth.
The man who did something so great for the world he loves would be forgotten to cover up the existence of the Lich King. The man who boldly put the cursed crown on his head would do so without anyone knowing. And by the years he would always protect his beloved world in silence.
Though no one would ever come to realize it, know that the end of the Scourge didn't come without a price. The world would've been destroyed if it wasn't for him.
Even though his existence was meant to fade, always remember Highlord Bolvar Fordragon. A man who always wanted the best for his people and home. A hero till the end of his own days.
Always remember Highlord Bolvar Fordragon - The Lich King.

I know this might seem like a waste of time to write (and might not make ANY sense what-so-ever, or someone else might of said about some of the bellow previous to this post) however it's something I wanted to get off my chest. It's (to me, at least) interesting to note the sudden differences now between the "new" Lich King, as to when Arthas was the Lich King, in terms of appearance from the Video (for those who have seen it).
- - -
When Arthas Menethil placed the Helm (Helm of Domination) on for the very first time, it's interesting to note how the centre Gem was Blue (I believe Ner'zhul's soul is in the centre Gem? I can't recall) and how his eyes became inglufed in a Blue like aura of flames, which brought forth a new transformation from Arthas, to the Lich King. Considering how now, Bolvar Fordragon has now been given (or rather, requested, had) the Helm placed upon him, a similar transformation has undergone also. The Helm for starters (from what was shown) appears to be a more darker colour slightly, as well as the actual Gem housed within the centre of the Helm, turning from the Blue, to an Orange colour - along with the aura of flames (which were Blue, previous) coming from Bolvar's eyes now (which are also Orange).
- - -
It also seems as if Bolvar is self-aware now, upon becoming the new Lich King as well (were as with Arthas, it seemed as if Ner'zhul was the one in control - as many simply assumed Arthas was no more - replaced by Ner'zhul - The Lich King, however the Frostmourne had a part to play on this act). Does this mean because Bolvar was exposed to Alexstrasza's flames for so long (as it's said her flames cleansed the Wrathgate, assuming it means it also cleansed the fallen there too, and because there is no Frostmourne, as it appears shattered on the floor, which was also the course of Arthas losing his mind, or soul rather) given the Lich King a new direction?

What happens to Frostmourne?
I'm guessing it will be destroyed somehow.
Does this mean that the Scourge has been destroyed?
No, Bolvar took the throne of the Lich King in order to control the scourge and keep them at bay, they will still exist, they will just not bring terror to the world anymore because they are now under the control of Bolvar.
Is it possible that Bovar might be controlled by the spirit of Naz, Just like Arthas?
Frostmourne is like the ring in LOTR; Arthas was being controlled through frostmourne, as long as Bolvar doesn't go near frostmourne, I think he'll be alright, the answer to this question lies with the first question, if they find a way to destroy frostmourne, then the world will never have to fear the scourge again, I dont think its a coincidence that they didnt show what happened to frostmourne in the cinematic.
What will Tirion do, now that Both the Crusade and Scourge have been delt with?
Tirion for king of stormwind. I'd vote for him.
He is told to not tell anyone, however both Sylvanis and Jaina know their must always be a Lich King.
He will probably have to tell them I believe. It would be a secret between the three of them.
Does this mean that the Light is more powerful then the Scourge? As it helped Bovar survive Arthas's endless torture.
Probably, and it helped.. defeat the lich king himself..

What happens to Frostmourne?
At the beginning of the cinematic Frostmourne is shown lying next to Arthas. The blade is broken and shards are scattered around it. Presumably, it is this which allows players to take one and forge Shadowmourne out of it.
Does this mean that the Scourge has been destroyed?
No. The Crown of the Damned, the Lich King's helm, allows the wearer to control the Scourge. They will still exist and will be manipulated (for good or evil) by Bolvar.
Is it possible that Bovar might be controlled by the spirit of Naz, Just like Arthas?
This depends on whether Ner'zhul is alive (or, well, sentient.) There are contradictory sources on this.
In-game, we have the Tirion quest where you help destroy Arthas' heart, which Tirion can only allow himself to do after he's satisfied that Arthas is beyond redemption and no longer human.
We also have a Metzen quote - '"Arthas and Ner'zhul have become a perfect fusion of one being - Arthas' personality and body with Ner'zhul's wisdom, experience, power and EVIL." Note however that I am unable to find a proper citation for this and the Wowwiki page I took it from does not have a citation either.
We have a blue post by Bornakk - 'Before Arthas donned the Lich King's armor, it was the spirit of the former Orc Shaman Ner'zhul whose soul was attached to the armor and then imprisoned (physically) inside the Frozen Throne. Now Arthas and Ner'zhul's spirit are one and together they are the Lich King.' However, the thread this was originally posted in is now AWOL and as such there is again no citation beyond Wowwiki.
On the other hand, we have -
Golden's Arthas novel, which had Arthas slaughter the avatar of his humanity but then tell Ner'zhul that he didn't need him either and murder his avatar as well, after which Ner'zhul dissipated.
The fact that the cinematic for Arthas' deathscene has the Lich King glow fade from Arthas' eyes and he looks basically human again before he dies. Surely if Ner'zhul was still in there the glow would never fade?
We know Arthas is dead. We don't know if Ner'zhul is dead - he didn't appear to die with Arthas, meaning the only thing which could have killed him is Arthas in his dreamstate in the novel. I don't know if he could do that. I also seem to remember the latest Twitter chat with the devs mentioning that they haven't told Ner'zhul's story yet in-game for a reason - because it's a good one and they want to do it right.
If he did? No, Ner'zhul can't corrupt Bolvar.
If he didn't, and Ner'zhul lives? I would say it's more than likely, and I'd say Blizzard are leaving the question over Ner'zhul's death unanswered for a reason.
(Do note, though, that Arthas proved fairly easy to corrupt, in part due to personality traits (he was headstrong and slightly arrogant) which Bolvar does not share. Plus, Bolvar held out for a year against the Lich King already. I'd say it would be a lot harder to break Bolvar. On the other hand, looking at the cinematic, I think Bolvar was frightening (Tirion did the classic backing-away thing, and Bolvar's voice changed at the end) and I think he was frightening for a reason.
What will Tirion do, now that Both the Crusade and Scourge have been delt with?
Presumably he'll go back to Stormwind with Varian, and act as a voice of reason. Or he'll be helping to deal with the Cataclysm events (I seem to remember that the Plaguelands is being changed up a lot, meaning maybe the Dawn will take it back?)
Or, in three expansion's time, when the new Lich King unleases unholy hell on Azeroth again, he'll be banished again when people find out he (literally) crowned the King of the Damned. Who knows.
He is told to not tell anyone, however both Sylvanis and Jaina know their must always be a Lich King.
Well, they know what Uther told them. Presumably they'll keep it quiet for the good of Azeroth. Or they'll listen when Tirion tells them that the Lich King is dead, nod, smile, and make a mental note to keep an eye on Icecrown...just in case.
and lastly,
Does this mean that the Light is more powerful then the Scourge? As it helped Bovar survive Arthas's endless torture.
Paladins were immune to the plague due to the fact that they were imbued with the Light, so we know it's at least particularly resilient to shadow magic and disease. On the other hand, Bolvar is on fire because Alexstrasza breathed on him, and her flames bring life (if you look at the ground, they cause flowers to grow.) I think it's debatable whether the Light kept him alive, or whether Alexstrasza's flames did. As for the survival of the torture in a mental (remaining good) sense? Certainly.
Edits:
Dont get me wrong, im not saying its true or untrue, but the first thing I thought about when I read that was: Onyxia had a human disguise in Stormwind too, Bolvar spent alot of time in Stormwind.. perhaps he planned this, perhaps that explains why he was not killed or purified and/or why Arthas could not break him.. Perhaps thats why Alexstrasza's flames affected him so.
Just saying..
I'm not quite sure what you're saying here. Are you saying that Onyxia took a human form and hid in Katrana Prestor in Stormwind so maybe Deathwing did too and hid in Bolvar?
If so:
Deathwing did take a human form - Lord Daval Prestor. He attempted to cause strife during the Second War by buttering up Terenas so that he could marry Calia Menethil (Arthas' sister.)
You can also see Deathwing in human form during the fight with Yogg-Saron. He looks nothing like Bolvar.
If Deathwing had somehow been Bolvar, why would Bolvar aid in the original Onyxia attunement quest which involved Katrana Prestor being thrown out of Stormwind? You know, what with Onyxia being Deathwing's daughter and everything. Surely he'd just have dismissed your claim when you brought it to him, then had you killed quietly later.

What happens to Frostmourn?
Who cares? It's broke. They'll probably divide and scatter it in all corners of Azeroth and maybe Outland.
Does this mean that the Scourge has been destroyed
As far as I've interpreted, it's contained, now that Bolvar's the Lich King.
Is it possible that Bovar might be controlled by the spirit of Naz, Just like Arthas?
Probably not. Ner'Zhul's original and main node of control on Arthas was Frostmourne, which he was manipulated extensively into acquiring. Bolvar has his spirit intact, and is set on the forzen throne with one simple purpose: Keep the Scourge at bay. Ner'Zhul may be able to whisper, but Bolvar can resist/ignore him.
What will Tirion do, now that Both the Crusade and Scourge have been delt with?
I'd imagine continue to lead the Argent Crusade and act as a second defense should the Scourge break out again.
He is told to not tell anyone, however both Sylvanis and Jaina know their must always be a Lich King.
Yes, but their gripe was with Arthas.
Does this mean that the Light is more powerful then the Scourge? As it helped Bovar survive Arthas's endless torture.
I would like to imagine that Bolvar's will was just too strong to be corrupted to the extent of what Arthas did to him.

Unfortunately according to a friend who read the "Rise of the Lich King" book, it is revealed that Ner'zhul was somehow destroyed by Arthas in a conflict in his mind (crazy eh?). However Ner'zhul can still exist, but I believe at the very least I can safely say that most of his will/memories have been destroyed.
According to Metzen, both Ner'zhul and Arthas were fused into one singular being. According to the book, Arthas dominates the Lich King in this fusion; while it does seem to imply that Ner'zhul was killed, lore implies more strongly that the Lich King is both and neither at once. It's an entity by itself. Quests in the Icecrown (like when the Lich King claims that he was once a Shaman) further implies that both share the body.
The fusion was created as soon as the Arthas put on that crown, meaning that everything that was the old Lich King (memories, powers, etc) was contained inside of that crown too. Once the two fused, that means everything that was Arthas was contained inside of that helm too, mixing with Ner'zhul.
As soon as the helm gets thrown off in the video, Arthas no longer has vision; all he sees is darkness, and his once-glowing eyes become normal. He no longer has a distorted voice, and seems to recognize his father's presence before his death. We can attribute that to "normal" Arthas -- this was due to his separation from both the crown's control, and having his soul released by the Frostmourne.
When Bolvar puts on the helmet, he gains glowing eyes and the Lich King's voice. He fuses with the Lich King entity of Ner'zhul and Arthas, just as Arthas did. From watching the video, he just *seems* very sinister. Bolvar seems inexplicably drawn to that helmet, and appears to be single-minded and focused on it. And with the Lich King discussing how he tortured Bolvar's soul, how he was to be his next great Champion, and how Yogg-Saron showed that he influenced this torture, it all seems to amount to the scenario being far more than what we may think, which I think just makes it more epic.
I'm trying to say, maybe Bolvar *didn't* ultimately resist the Lich King's torture. Maybe it was planned; maybe, all along, the entity that was the Lich King knew that it needed a new host, one that would be left alone by Azeroth while the Scourge recoups. One that needed the world to think the Lich King was dead, and that the Scourge was no longer a danger. And Bolvar seems like the perfect candidate.

What happens to Frostmourn?
Spoilers from the Lich King fight
|
|
|
When you get him to low health,he will oneshot the raid(and you can't release spirit, ofcourse.)
He will then tell Tirion, who has been encased in a block of ice since the begining of the encounter that he foresaw the fight, and that in
training
you,he had strengtened you for his use, that you will serve him as his greatest champions.
He begins to raise you as scourge, but before he finishes the cast,Tirion, pleading the light for the strenght to break the prison, breaks free and leaps at the Lich King, striking and shattering Frostmourne with Ashbringer. All spirits are released, including King Terenas.
As the spirits lift Arthas into the air and strangulate him,Terenas mass ressurects the raid, and the last few percents of the fight are basicly, like Archimonde,a certain victory,as he you nuke the last remaining hp from the suspended Arthas.

So here's something that's been boggling my mind since I've seen the cinematic.
Bolvar has taken the role of the Lich King, with the Helm of Domination sealing his fate. This would, of course, give him the greatest control of death in the Warcraft universe. And, alongside this, he would obviously gain powerful frost powers, just due to the nature of the climate and all that.
But he HAS been infused with the flame of the Red Dragonflight, which is the flame that gives life.
Basically, Bolvar is now a walking oxymoron.
Life + Death
Fire + Ice

i somehow feel this wasn't the last time we heard about him
Now,to continue one old post...
The Knights of the Ebon Blade will probably remain in Icecrown, surveying the remaining Scourge
Tirion and Darion will most likely start to look after Alexandros Mograine now that the lich king has been dealt with... I know,he's presumed to be dead, but a spirit doesn't randomly appear and kill his son(Scarlet Monastery, corrupted Ashbringer event)//help his son out(Light's End Chapel Battle, when Tirion gains the Ashbringer and defeats the Scourge army)
Tirion may even try to reform the Order of the Silver Hand, since he was one of the last survivors of it
altough,if i can say, each expansion had one ''kind'' of say...theme...
TBC had demons
Wotlk had undead
Cataclysm will have...erm...dragons..and elementals as bad guys

That idea that Bolvar could be Deathwing would actually be imaginable. However, was said, Katrana Prestor (Onyxia who is now killed on two different levels) was thrown out of stormwind by Bolvar. I think Deathwing would be proud of Nefarian, being almost controller of Blackrock Mountain. Onyxia, his other kid, was actually doing nothing but standing around in Stormwind. I think he might have been angry at Onyxia for doing nothing. And thereby he was lucky we heroes decided to throw her out, and he kept his state in Stormwind. Deathwing would agree with a false grim and Onyxia would be angered. she decided to go live far away near humans, so she could always return when she was called by her dad. There she stays breeding an army, till the cataclysm arrives.
Thats why he would throw his own daughter away from him.
About Cataclysm: we might also expect combined forms of elementals and dragon.
Edit: I've watched Wrathgate again. He clearly isnt resisting the plague of the Forsaken, making him a not-so-believable paladin. And at the moment he sees the dragons, he kinna scares into death. Deathwing would resist the lich kings grasp because of the flames and after we killed Arthas/Ner'zhul/The Lich King he receives the lich kings power. Then he is the mightiest being on the planet, and able to make an Cataclysm with the elements. Not to forget: he has a complete dragonflight with him. That would be:
A complete dragonflight , The Scourge , The Elemental Planes.
Allies that might gonna help us (again).
We might see Wyrmrest Temple again, The Argent Crusade/Knights of the Ebon Blade, The Earthen Ring (they sure feel a cataclysm),
The Enemies (most likely)
The Twilight's Hammer, Grim Batol sure has some orcs and corrupted dragons left..
The Black Dragonflight who is having their base in Deathwing Scar north of Stormwind, even kind of confirming that Bolvar = Deathwing.

Hell, that pansy ass green dragon in ICC didn't had that much willpower either, or Saurfang, or even Arthas! Although there is a possibility Bolvar will become corrupt somehow from the helm of Domination/Dominion/Dominance.

The ones who said Deathwing = Bolvar are not complete fools. Like I wrote in my last comment (wich is unfortunatly downrated) this
could
be true. Yes, the Ebon Blade might not come back. But a possible comeback of the Scourge could also mean we get a part of the ebon blade against us. For it is said in the Cataclysm trailer ''The mortal struggle for
Dominance
turn to one of mere survival. The message within this might be that mortals lost dominance over that was not to be freed. Example: Death Knight beginquests. The Ebon Blade gets free from the shackles of the Lich King, makes him defeated in the Plaguelands. Without this event, the Lich King might never have been slain.

Go figure, Arthas was originally a paladin, and his replacement is one too. Funny how that works out.
Edit: Sometimes I wonder if Arthas knew his time was coming to an end, and was preparing Bolvar to replace him in the end. It could be plausable (however very unlikely) that the torture was to ready him for the time where he took over. Now whether or not it was so Bolvar would be evil or to prepare him for the intense rigors of ruling over the Scourge in my mind is debatable. However, this is mass speculation. I could be way off.

Well him and his own little crusading buddies decide to take back Hearthglen in Western Plaguelands. Hearthglen becomes a Questing Hub for the mid 40s range. He does not become an advisor to Varian Wrynn. That is just ridiculous. That shows favoritism. The entire time in Northrend he is telling Alliance and Horde players that united they will defeat the Lich King but seperated they will fall. Now that the Lich King is dead, he is not going to say "Well thanks for the help, Horde, you were a big help in that fight but I'm going to go roll Alliance. Later"
It is unknown at the moment if he starts another faction, stays with the Argent Crusade, or returns to the Argent Dawn.

Doesn't make sense, at the Wrathgate, Alexstraza approached and mourned the death of Bolvar. Then she handed him over to Arthas?
Let me get this straight, Bolvar wanted the Lich King position instead of Tirion because he was already presumed dead and other reasons. But he also wanted it instead of Arthas, so that he could
prevent
the Scourge from destroying Azeroth? Couldn't we just simply put an end to the Scourge? The Lich King's original duty was to destroy Azeroth, but now that Bolvar has taken that seat upon the Frozen Throne, what's to come of that huge Scourge Army that Arthas raised? They're still there, will he just let us take them all out?
And what about Frostmourne, it's what corrupted Arthas in the first place, it could do that to Bolvar too, right?

Well I am just guessing but wasn't Ner'zhul's soul and life in Frostmourne? Because Arthas wielded the sword being corrupted by him turning him into the Lich King, so maybe Bolvar won't be corrupted by Ner'Zhul being that the sword was destroyed but also we saw some sort of spirit fly from the broken blade so maybe now he will try to find a weapon he can merge with and wait until another poor soul wields him so he may control.
