Elder Bladeswift is located in the Cenarion Enclave, at 33.5, 14.4 outside the entrance the the tunnels of Enclave.

When doing Elders of The Alliance on Horde, it may help you to know that you'll be entering Darnassus from the west. If you don't have a method of tracking Cords, it helps to just try to aim for the letter O, in "Cenarion Enclave" when looking at your map.

Notes for the Horde....

If you end up out of the city, stick to the north. You can approach this elder from the north, loop around his tree to the west, and go up his ramp without attracting any guards.

Once you're done, you can teleport to moonglade with your scroll. The nearby NPC is friendly and will give you a scroll if yours has expired.

This guy is easy for the Horde, ran into portal at harbour, ran to the enclave, only aggro'd one npc guard then ran out, no resistance from the Alliance Toons what so ever.

I found it very easy to get to this guy as Horde as well. But instead of running out, I let the guards kill me and respawned within eyeshot of the other elder on Teldrasil..

Cata update -

Is now at 38.8, 32.3 in Cenarion Enclave

If you have flying this is EAAAAAAAAASY because you can fly from Darkshore to Teldrassil and fly directly up to get to Darnassus. No fighting guards and corpse crawls :)))

When you get to Cenarion Enclave, the elder is right in front of a guard, the guard will smash u off ur mount and u will die. if u kill one, others will follow. im sure a mage will survive this though, as for others, i dont know.

Confirming above posts, very easy. As an 85 fire mage, I did aggro the guard, cooked him alive and also cooked the flight guard that came attacking me. Didn't drop below 50%, mounted up and flew away. =)

As a low level Horde trying to get to this guy and Elder Bladeleaf you have a couple of options since 4.0.1 (The Sundering) since there is no longer a boat from Auberdine to Rut'theran Village. If you have already found yourself in Stormwind or the Exodar you can take the boats from there.

If not, I suggest a potion of water walking, mounting up and running across from 39,11 in Darkshore. I was able to do this with just levitate and normal running speed as a priest, though I did die from fatigue, and while you do still get fatigued while dead, I was able to get far enough out to remove fatigue the second time. Mounted you shouldn't die at all.

as a level 58 rogue, it was possible to get to Rut'theran Village , but you have to go to the northern part of the village and get killed. that puts you up there right where ELDER BLADESWIFT is. i used the ress sickness to get there but, there is a sentry there that kills on the spot. have to have someone with you to detract him from killing you so you can get the quest. hope this helps low levels.

Hordies: I just visited this Elder (as well as (刃叶长者) on a level 60 Horde DK. It's not impossible at all, not even hard really, just very annoying :)

Here's how I did it: from Darkshore I swam on my mount to Teldrassil (where the portal to Darnassus is). I did not have 冰霜之路 yet as that's a lvl61 ability, so I just kept hitting spacebar to get up out of the water. This did increase my speed for just a moment and allowed me to reach Teldrassil before getting killed by Fatigue. You can make this even easier with and / or 水上行走药剂 (both of which I didn't use, so they're optional).
Having an addon like TomTom and setting a waypoint and / or increasing your view distance to ultra will both help to start your journey in the right direction.

Once you reach Teldrassil, expect at least 3 corpseruns before you can manage to get through the portal to Darnassus alive. Once you're through, you'll die before the loading screen is done and find yourself at the graveyard in Dolanaar. Talk to the Spirit Healer, mount up, and make a beeline for the Elder. I got killed before reaching the Elder, but my corpse was close enough to res standing next to the Elder. I strongly advise using an addon like AutoTurnin so you don't have to click through the dialogue before getting one-shot again. I also bound 'interact with target' to a key, so I could click to res and then smash the key to talk to the Elder (target the Elder before ressing).

Congratulations! Now, res at the spirit healer again and make your way to Darnassus. Avoid the sentinels at the gate and head up the gate on the right. Now circle your way along the outer edge of Darnassus in a counter-clockwise direction. I kept hugging the hills and even went up a bit wherever possible. I reached the Cenarion Enclave without getting aggro at any point (which is what you want, because dying will put your spirit back at Dolanaar). Eventually I got close to my destination and circled around the Cenarion Enclave on the western side. Once I was close enough to /target the Elder, I did so, ran in, hit the key to interact with the Elder, the addon did the rest, and I was all done just before dying to a freshly spawned guard.

Conclusion: it's possible, but it will take patience. Good luck everyone :)

VERY important note, especially for the hordes: Do not seek the 38.8, 32.3 coordinates when still in Teldrassil, enter the city of Darnassus first! Dear god this is hard! FYI for Horde under lvl cap: expect to die a whole hell of a lot with long-a** corpse walks in between. There's a Protector just a few feet away that aggros the instant you're close enough to grab the quest. Flying in does nothing but get you killed fast, but at least your corpse is there so there's a slim possibility that you can res long enough to get the quest before you get killed again. I'm on my 10th try now and still can't manage it.

Despite to even latest comments I have to say this was so easy for me. Especially with a lvl 90 char. I just fly there, landed, gave the quest and quickly flied away. Piece of cake if you do not panic.

Besides..even things get worse and you pull that guardian near him it is easy to kill it. In the Ironforge today I killed 3 lvl 90 guards with my ilvl490 Survival Hunter. Unfortunately there were 5 of them :/

It's very possible to do it without dying, as a paladin :) Especially if you are an engineer with Nitro Boosts ;P

Fly in, land on his head, pop your bubble, complete the quest, and run like hell out into the lake. Swim towards the large bridge and hopefully you will loose them at one of the islands "under" the bridge.

If you have Nitro boosts, pop them right after you've completed the quest :)

HOW TO SOLO AS A LOWBIE HORDIE:

Macro this and put it somewhere on your toolbar that is visible but not hotkeyed. Give it a bright icon so you don't forget it's there.

The /tar Elder allows you to find the Elders if you're within range and having difficulty locating them. This function also works while dead! In the future you can replace Elder with anything you'd like to find, such as hunter pets or critters.

Corpse-walk to your Elder. Once by the NPC, angle your camera so that your "Resurrect now?" button is right over him. Temporarily switch the macro (shift+drag icon is default) with your trigger finger hotkey, so it's the first thing you think of to do upon resurrecting. Rez, click NPC, and 'shoot' away! Die, rez at graveyard, open envelope, and move on. Be sure to swap macro's again if you plan on hitting anything along the way.

The /script lines of this macro allow for fast-complete of quests on an NPC you're already talking to. Its purpose is for reputation-grinding quests which require multiple turn-in's and can become quite tedious, but it can also be used for instances like this one when it's near-impossible to guide a mouse cursor from rez, to NPC, to quest button, in the time it takes enemy guards to one-shot you.

NOT recommended for ordinary quest-line turn-in's as it selects the reward for you, and with the advent of transmog, those early quests can have some pretty unique appearances.
