Templar's can be soloed in good gear, or duoed with junky gear easily. They drop an Abssyal Crest used for a turn in at Cenarion Hold for a sack with a Green Item and Food or Pots in it or to summon Dukes.

Each templar occasionally drops a blue item specific to it too.

The abyssal templars summoned from the Lesser Wind Stones are no longer elite as of Patch 2.3.

They still give 10 rep for Cenarion Circle (at level 60 at least).

how come i cant seem to find them, i tried following the pins on the dot, but there not there... are the rare or just hard to spot?

How on earth do do you summon specifically an Azure Templar? I have 11 Abyssal Crests and no Azure Templar. Earth, Fire, and Air ones all over the place, but no Azure Templar.

This NPC is 1 of 4 that may be summoned at a Lesser Wind Stone in Silithus by players wearing a full Twilight Trappings set (cowl, mantle and robe).

Rather than relying on chance to get the NPC you want, you can control which of the 4 is summoned by creating the appropriate Crest of Beckoning. This requires the necessary Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning, which can randomly be found within Decoded True Believer Clippings.

Summonable NPCs

Earthen Templar requires Crest of Beckoning: Earth from Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning.
Hoary Templar requires Crest of Beckoning: Thunder from Scroll: Create Crest of Bekoning.
Azure Templar requires Crest of Beckoning: Water from Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning.
Crimson Templar requires Crest of Beckoning: Fire from Scroll: Create Crest of Beckoning.

Notes

Each of the eastern Twilight camps has 2 Lesser Wind Stones.
The Twilight Trappings set drops randomly from any Twilight Cultist in Silithus.
The Decoded True Believer Clippings is a quest reward, mailed to you approximately 6 hours after you complete the True Believers (repeatable) quest.
