I was perusing the village and saw he had some quests. I was looking and I saw he had a dialog option "Markhor, I wish to stable my pets." So I clicked it and the weirdest thing happened. It opened the stable window. Only other thing I'M A SHAMAN.

This NPC does indeed allow you to purchase stable slots / stable pets regardless of your class.

Interestingly enough, as a death knight I am able to use this to obtain a permanent ghoul pet even when I am not talented for it - as a 51/0/20 death knight I can drag the "empty" icon of current pet onto the first stable slot after purchasing it, then drag it back causing a perma-ghoul pet to appear after I close the stable window. The pet has all the abilities of a DK ghoul and persists through mounting/dismounting, etc.

Free 800 dps for my next raid till I or the ghoul dies I guess.

His name is a bit wierd, considering a Markhor is a species of middle eastern mountain goat...

His quests must have been Baa-a-a-ad.

Don't, as I did, go and expect his quests to give any reputation towards the Darkspear Trolls, because they don't.

Usually in World of Warcraft, a NPCs race is a give away for what reputation you'll get, so I assumed the Revantusk Village - being a Troll village - had quests that awarded troll rep, but nope. I should have looked for the Darkspear Trolls title on them before wasting half a day questing for them.

Fairly nice rewards though, and a good amount of mob experience on the way.

Looks exactly like 基苏. They are also both stable masters. It seems like Markhor's long lost triplet forgot to hit the gym in patch 3.0.2 though.
