Veng is located inside the orange path, wandering by the end of the path. You could even reach him by going in the purple path, and at the end, instead of going down to Inner Maraudon, go down the orange path and you will find him.

To attack him, just use the Amulet of Spirits that you got from "The Nameless Prophet".

I would say in terms of difficulty, Veng would be (and fittingly so, being the 5th and "strongest") the hardest to solo. As a 49 rogue (having solo'ed all the others) I gave up on my 3rd try.

Veng has a hooked net skill that has a disgustingly low cooldown and does ~350 to me as a decently geared leather user, and follows up with a 250 arcane shot and ~170 shoot. He gets off about 2 shots as the net lasts 5 seconds. I'd probably try again in a level, after new skills and probably crafting a couple of bombs to disrupt his shooting. Crippling poison might help.

Just solo'd as a 49 Feral Druid. At least for me, here's what I found hard (mostly because of soloing).

-- As stated above, he starts near the front of the path and starts walking away, so get him quick. I died once moving around, reset, and he was right inside.

-- Hard to find a place to attack him without clearing mobs, and the mobs much harder to solo than the purple side. I went into the instance a few minutes (stealthed) and found a gap.

-- He himself wasn't bad, but his "netting then running off" can easily agro those around if you don't/can't clear a good space.

-- There's a pair of patrolling guys walking around too. Just hope after you pull you don't run into those.

He's rather far down the path. Plenty of elite mobs around the spot I found him. There were two dryads and 2 slimes nearby. Definately bring help for this one. That is if you just want the gem. Otherwise just kill him as you go through.

He will path back to the entrance after about 15 to 20 minutes. As a 46 protection paladin, I began by soloing the first two plant enemies, then turning on Sense Undead until I spotted him. For a paladin he was simple; just judge light or wisdom, seal up light and melee to death. If you get in trouble, fear him. :P

The plant enemies were a bit more tricky. Holy Shield turned out to be rather worthless, since I'd run out of mana too fast. Once they do their knockback, throw a holy light up. Judge wisdom or and Seal light to mitigate some damage and keep your health up. Divine shield and Hammer of Justice for a bandage, and keep a potion handy to seal the deal. It's about a five minute fight per plant.

Important things to note if you're after him solo:

He does not path all the way back to his spawn point for a long time, at least 45 minutes. However, he continues to circle the first big loop inside the orange entrance. Solo the four gray plants to safely reach where he circles around.

Keep a watch out for the two Celebrian Sisters who circle around the loop all the way up to where Veng spawns. If you see them, run back to the first bridge until they pass around.

Unlike with other instance mobs, you will leave combat if you move too far away from him. Afterwards he will return to the spot where you first made him attackable with the amulet. In a few minutes, he will transform back into his un-attackable state and begin the path back to his original spawn point.

Or the easiest thing to do do is get him during a dungeon instance as you will have other people to help.
