They say several different things when spoken to:

"I installed a new device in our car's matrix regulotmeter. This should increase its velocity quotient by a factor of no less than fifteen!"

"My son could design a faster car than that clunky goblin junk heap!"

"If it weren't for the goblins' inconceivable, dumb luck, they'd crash their car during every race!"

"My Gizmotic Almanacotron says that we should beat the goblins by twenty seconds more than we did last time!"

"These races are a great opportunity to show our ingenuity!"

I'm guessing that this airfield is used for practicing for races against the goblins, but that's just a wild guess.

There are 3 difrerent types of Gnome Engineer on the airfield.
