You only need Sous Chef for the Hail to the Chef achievement, which means the only one that can't be completed is The Northrend Gourmet.

I'm at 426 atm.. my suggestion is this... once you hit 400 buy the recipes that you have the most meat for already, that way you're not farming as much. Then once you hit 415 buy the last two recipes so you can skill up more with higher recipes.Still irritated about the lack of recipes to get the Chef title.. glad they're going to fix it in the patch, but geez, I've had everything else done for that achievement.. although I still need some of the other recipes.
I try to get to the top of each skill on at least one of my toons. This will make it a lot simpler. Thanks for the warning about the dailies. I was just casual about them but now they are on the must do list. Thanks again.
Nerfing chilled meat drops isn't good because you need it for the dailies. I wasn't happy to get that daily that required Northern Stew for three days in a row because it depleted my supply of chilled meat drastically. I have bought most of the meat-based recipes (I don't fish at all) and they are ALL green at level 420. At this point I don't even care about leveling up to 450. I never saw past 370 in Outlands. I do the dailies for rep and gold and for the spices so I can cook the food. Everyone in my party always loves the Feast. :) The first time I put it down I got some interesting reactions.
For all thoes irritated soon-to-be chef's that are in dire need to get Chilled meat. Go to Sholazar Basin and on you map where it says "Frenzyheart Hill" go to the "T".There you will see a bunch of white and black gorillas farm them and aoe em down youll get around 12-20 in about 10 min of farming.
Based on a comment on Stormchops it is (unconfirmed?) possible to get this recipe from the Dalaran cooking daily just like Delicious Chocolate Cake, but your guide says only The Rokk's quests give it. Seeing as I only do the Dalaran daily can anyone else confirm/deny that Stormchops comes from the Dalaran quest? All I've seen to indicate it does is the one comment on the Stormchops recipe itself. I got the cake recipe already and I'm only (and still) missing this one. :\
N.b. that once you obtain all available recipes that can be purchased with Dalaran Cooking Awards -- there are 22 of them, at three Awards each, so you should be able to buy them with 66 Awards -- there is nothing left to spend awards on, except Northern Spices. One Award gets you ten Spices. In the course of leveling to 450, my suggestion is to choose a recipe that you can actually use, and spend the rest of your Awards on spices to get yourself to 450 skill, and then buy the rest of the recipes later.
Lovely guide ! Thanks alot wowhead :)
Blizzard should relax the Northrend Gourmet requirement to the 30 cooked recipes limit to get the title.Waiting around for recipes that allow completion of this to come "whenever" isn't very assuring. Good guide - one recommendation: list the recipes in the order they give skillups when you get into that nebulous zone where everything is green; list the ones to make that give you better chances.
Two links showed me we might have to wait an indefinite amount of time before the Northrend Gourmet will be obtainable:The latest Testrealm Patchnotes show no signs (yet) of implementing the missing patterns. Furthermore, this blue post mentions the 'Chef title issue will be fixed in a future patch'. It seems the developers have no haste in helping us out on this issue :(These are assumptions however. I'm looking forward to seeing a reply with better news :)*EDIT* I just found this particular part on mmo-champion.com:
I got mine not long before WotLK came out. Consider this your confirmation :)*EDIT:* You're welcome :)
