Does that mean that the Southshore Slayer/Tarren Mill Terror titles will be back?
Ah, HIllsbrad wPvP. I still have nightmares, trying to level my Foresaken priest.Oh, sure, there were epic back-and-forth battles, but there were lots of innocent casualties too. Having this as a fixed regulated battleground instance seems untrue to the essence of the real thing, back in the day. Oh, well.
Loved that event back when it was on. Maybe I'll actually do some pvp. Thanks Blizz!
How about my "old" Warlord title? Will I be able to keep it?
When will be available all news form the today's patch?
(before you reply or even think about it, play the game first)No one went to Southshore. It was never a thing. PvP server, everyone is avoiding each other. People make toons just to spy on the other faction and get free kills. Ganking was the term. Doesn't matter who, what level, and yes if you spawn kill, the GM does cheat and shutdown the server so they can get away. More kills = more honor = more kills. They don't want to be around you unless you can help them, then you are kicked to the curb. They watch where you are at, what you sell, where you are going to go, and 5 man you, camp you, and run you off the server. This is pvp.Starting in Orgrimmar, you take the Zep to Grom Gol. You run past the pvp flagged alliance, their silly little hunting area, because Nessingwarry is alliance and needs to get stuck by a pike like a trout. You avoid their camp, North into their happy little play time RP maps, and sit in the river. As low as possible. And wait. Other people will swim by. Find someone higher than you, and join their group. Where are we going? Red Ridge Mountains, 3am. This is when the bots come out. Alliance can't get there fast when it's announced in /3. Neither can we. It's safe zone. Little level 10's, 15's, and 20's come out of pvp, and 1-shot them. Grief their place. The level 60s show up and you tell the rogues IT'S ON! 15 of us vs 2 hero max level toons trying to save little gnomes. All the little dudes show up and it's a blood bath. Taurens squashing gnomes. Punting them off into cliffs. Fat banker looking chicken things flat on the ground with their tails in the air, "You can't get me. I'll res in town!" We kill the guards. They go back to town and cry. More show up, we leave. Repeat the next night. No one is up at 3am, and you are dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. That's how pvp went down. We played the game. No one ever even did the quests in Tauren Mill. Sounds like they ran out of names and were gonna make another Tauren area and forgot. It's an alliance map. Why would anyone go there except to RP? Keep your chastity belt on, and steer clear of it.But yeah, you can make whatever, say whatever. Anita and Zoe slept with wiki and rewrote #GamerGate. It happens. It wasn't for little fluffy furry furry snowballs hop'n down the road, skip'n, holding hands, dancing on mailboxes with your partner the nightelf. pvp was grim, mean, nasty. Anita removed Male armor from the game. She turned it into leather. They stold your purple if you mailed it to your alt. Took away your flying if you bought it and came back later. (Yes they did! You could buy BC flying, and get Vanilla flying free. When they separated it, if you never bought the 1st one, they had you flying in BC and walking in vanilla.) DDOS you if you won too much. Hackers, botters, dupers, cheaters, wicked wrong stories of people running under the map for nodes. Dudes sold accounts on eBay for $800. Some guilds even had names to remind you to keep your mouth shut "Deadmen tell no tales". This was pvp wow. And...you never played it. So, go to Southwhatever and do the 'thing'. But, you'll not get that feeling of Pearl Harbor by watching this movie. You had to be there. It was rough.
