Just to clear up something if anyone wants to claim P2W 远古知识药剂 A nice useful elixir that drops off Krol the blade in Dread wastes also im sure it doesnt take that long to get lesser charms anyways
I wonder how far away Blizzard is from making WoW free to play. Can't say I'd mind, honestly, as long as they keep making xpacs.
You often see these kinds of items offered in the in-game stores of F2P games. If Blizzard plans to migrate WoW to such a system as well, with a freemium subcription model, this would be a logical first step.
I really don't like the purchase of Lesser charms. Skirting the edge of Pay 2 Win with that I think. The elixir? Not so much, as it helps you get to endgame that bit quicker and has no direct effect on endgame, but the charms is a big no-no for me.Don't know how I'd react if they try to pull that on EU and US realms, not favourably I'd expect.
You can still only get 3 Mogu Charms a week so saying that the Lesser Charms are P2W is ludacris.
Lonewolfe31705 stole my post :)buying the lesser charms is for the lazy or folks who are tired of doing dailies. no real impact on anyone else since it can't turn into more than 3 chances at extra loot that YOU will never be aware of... now selling an item that could be used to turn an item into a BOA would be a big deal :)
WTF. Is leveling hard or something? Why do they need to add a potion? Anyway, as long as they keep the in game store vanity items, or maybe things like the xp potion, I'm fine with it. If they make the game Free to play, I'm going to quit. F2P is fail. If you can't afford the subscription, and/or you don't play often enough to warrant paying the subscription, you probably shouldn't be playing WoW anyhow. And, why do they need to add more ways to get lesser charms? They drop all over the damn place. I have like 800 on one toon, and I keep getting them. Unless they are going to become a currency for something other than Mogu Runes, they really don't need to add more.
Lesser Charms? No, we need an alternate way of getting Greater Charms.Cheers.
The point of choosing an mmorpg that has a monthly subscription is that you want to have access to all the features of the game, and to have to make the same effort as everyone else to achieve your goals.I have paid more than 80 months of sub,and i feel betrayed seeing blizz telling me "We are going to charge stuff we developed using your money".
Buying bonus rolls? :( How soon now until bonus rolls are harder to get without real money or where it's impossible for a casual to get them... Soon the cosmog gear (real money transmog gear) will be "catch up" gear of iLv 496+... That's ultimately where it's going. That or having to pay for access to patched content. It was a good run while it lasted :(
I'd love to see options to obtain Lesser Charms other than farming. Yes, they have already made it easier to obtain them, but those of us who hate farming anything for any reason will jump on this the instant it is made available. As for the XP boost, I'll take anything that makes leveling alts that much faster.
Maybe it seems like an XP buff is "optional" at the store on first look. But soon, the leveling speed with the buff will be baseline and all regular players who refuse to buy it are on disadvatage.Either Blizzard thinks the leveling speed in the game is fine ( IMO it's way too fast with existing boni already), or it is too slow and gets increased with a patch for everyone. But if you'd have to pay for "XP Pots" instead of a general buff, then you have in fact Pay2Win.Now - i've paid over 1000€ for WoW subscriptions since release. But if anything goes even slightly into the "F2P/P2W" direction, i'm going to quit.Don't get me wrong, WoW is a great game and, despite its age, probably has never been technically good like it is today. But i absolutely hate any kind of so-called "F2P" games because they are all a complete rip-off for the player. Also the idea of an MMORPG with monthly subscription is that everyone pays a very small entry fee, and after that, players are only judged by their skill, ambition and personality.Very much unlike the "real world", where mostly social status, profession, salary, education etc. define a person.Any kind of advantages from an in-game shop would destroy that balance - it's bad enough as it is when people buy gold from 3rd party sites because they don't have time (or are too lazy) to farm, so we certainly don't need a game model where the investment banker can pay 5€ more to level 300% faster than the unemployed highschool teacher.
So how long until I can just buy a level 90 toon or buy levels for an existing toon? I'm getting tired of leveling my alts. Why can't I buy rep with the different factions? Dailies are a pain. Can I buy a legendary? I wantz it and I can haz money...
If they're going to sell something they should just sell the ability to start a character at max level. Some of us have leveled multiple max level characters, we're honestly tired of the leveling grind. But this option should only be available to players who have already leveled at least one character to the current max level.
