Interesting, never seriously played a mage myself but always wanted to level one at some point.
I really hope they manage to buff frost for PvE without making people QQ about it in PvP >.>
I would love to raid frost again...
I thought it was a nice read... Still waiting for my class though...
"If you look at say the warrior Protection tree or the paladin Retribution tree, those provide a model for where we’d like to take talent trees in the future – fewer talents overall and plenty of points to spend on fun play-style choices that really do feel optional rather than talents you need to make your spec function. "Speaking from a more general standpoint, I would absolutely love it if more trees for all classes were as trim as Prot and Ret. It's really annoying to have many 'required' point-heavy talents in a tree because it limits your options for your sub-spec and therefore for personal choice and individuality. And by required I don't mean numerically optimal, I mean basic utilities you need to function at all within the tree, like all the DW-related talents in Enhancement. And I foresee mages unhappy that their Q&A doesn't talk about all the buffs they need. ;) But this is really how it's always been. Mages have always been a baseline ranged dps that other classes are designed around, just like warriors have been the baseline tanks and rogues the baseline melee dps. They don't see as many changes because they're the starting point and the other classes are the outliers.
well, that's great!
These blizzard interviews etc, come faster than Malgayne than post them :PBut im still hoping that blizz will notice that they share no love for "rouges"
Hmm, interesting. The one part I think I will enjoy the most is reduction of mana cost for the main nuke spells, other than that though this does feel a little less awe inspiring than the shaman Q&A.
Overall it wasn't bad. I was wondering why there wasn't a question about if Mage AoE would become a "Smart" AoE.
ghostcrawler is a retard if he thinks there is more then 1 spec for any given talent tree.
well at least i know one thing, fire mages are going to someday be pretty viable in pvp. this makes me squeal just thinking about it. =D
