There is some unexplainable satisfaction I get from having a productive and meaningful day, even on those really long, dreadful days. But, for me, once all my work is done, all I want to do is go home and relax without having to worry about any work other than the typical daily housework. That would be so nice if every day was like that, but in reality, what is supposed to be my "free time" after a long day will, more often than not, delayed by more work that needs to be done.
I don't remember the last time I was able to devote
any
of my free time to World of Warcraft. In fact, the last time I've played the game was over six months ago. I probably haven't made any real progress, like leveling my 77 paladin to 80, since before then. Maybe it's because I've had less and less free time over the last several months, but it's not like the amount of free time I have now is scarce. Unless I have more work to do than usual, I usually enough downtime to relax, use the internet, or just watch TV. But unlike WoW, none of those activities requires me to devote any undivided, long-term attention.
It kinda makes me sad that I finally
want
to play the game again after not having any interest for almost a year, but can't because I have an unbroken string of free time. Now my challenge is maintaining that interest until after the school year ends.
I'm curious to know:
Have you ever gone through an experience like mine?
If so, how did you succeed in managing your time so you could at least play World of Warcraft for a couple hours a week?
