this is a cool pet. not many people have them to put them for for sale for the horde you need to go to booty bay and put it in the nuetral AH.

It's movement animations are great, it smoothly hovers around you, even if you're on an epic mount. In addition, it's one of the rarest pets I've seen. Most people prefer some exotic
outland stuff, but if you want to be original one of those hawk owls will be great for you!

In patch 2.4.3, numerous flying non-combat pets have had their flight height modified to no longer skim along the ground. This includes captured firefly, dragonhawk hatchlings, moths, owls, parrots, phoenix hatchling, spirit of summer, sprite darter, and tiny sporebat.

Actually we are up to 3.3.3 and it still does not follow you into the air, Dragonhawk Hatchlings do... Draenei Moths do... Night Elf owls... do not... *sniff sniff*

EDIT: 4.0.6 and owls still don't fly...
EDIT: 4.1.0 most winged pets now fly including the owls however there are several that still do not that should... Cockroach, Ghostly Skull, Peddlefeet, Sen'jin Fetish, Wolpertinger, Willy, Winter Reindeer. My 2 cents.
